Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 1600 haydock 1/2 pt ew anomaly 8/1 boyles this godolphin colt is of interest here, seasonal debut he finished down the field after a poor start, only weakening late in the race,if he gets a better start he might just make this an interesting race, only slight concern is the jockey booking, im not sure if they have teamed up before, but i would have expected one of the regular jockeys on board albeit that philip makin is proffessional jockey. i will go each way

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 4.00 HAYDOCK ENNISTOWN @ 13/2 Bet Victor BOG ew.5 Unexposed type who won here over 1m 4f, was well beat last time but ran as if a drop back to 1m 2f would suit. Has been given a good break since last run and gets useful weight for age allowance. Godolphin do well at this time of year and trainer had a winner yesterday.

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 2.10 - Newcastle - Elsie Partridge @ 5/1 Hills 1pt win Finished a decent third lto on her debut behind the impressive Remember. That form was given a boost on Wednesday when second place from that day (3/4 length ahead of Elsie) - Perfect Alchemy went on to win a maiden. Ground and distance remains the same, neither of which appeared to be a problem. With her first run out of the way this offers a good chance to go one better.

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 500 Haydock: Aleksandar 6/1 Coral Only 5 runners now that Good Speech has been pulled out and a very open little contest and i give a chance to Jim Goldie's Aleksandar with Graham Lee on top. Been running over 2m and probably not getting home properly so this drop to 14f on a sharp track will suit him better. I like the form of his second at Catterick and his 5th last time was a fair race with the front two both showing improved form and that performance may be better than it first appears. Looks fair value in a tight heat and if it keeps raining it wont suit some of the better fancied animals.

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept Haydock 3.00 - Lionheart (1pts win, 7/1 Bet365) Is one of the unexposed horses in the field and as such I feel he has more improvement in him then many of the other runners today. You have to forgive a very poor run lto when he failed to beat a horse home at Brighton but I can forgive one poor run and previously he had looked to be pretty progressive and as such goes off today at a nice price.

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 9.20 Kempton Very few of these make any appeal several have a lot to prove after disappointing runs. Jezza is consistent but does find winning hard these days. Handicapper has been slow to relent and has only now dropped to last winning mark but will still need to find a bit more to finally get back on the scoreboard. Honourable Knight ran well at Salisbury last time out but that was just 7 days ago and had a hard race that day. If in the same form he could go well he remains on his last winning mark. Diamond Penny has to be the one that makes most appeal, slowly coming to hand after a break and if continuing that curve he could prove hard to beat. Does also have to prove stamina will see this trip out but recent runs offer hope that he will see out this extra couple of furlongs. Seamus Durack yard is also in very good form recently and blinkers on for the first time. 1pt win Diamond Penny 9/2 PP

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 6.35 Kilbeggan Dale Street 5/2 Boylesports While I hate nominating horses who burst or have burst in the past, it could be that the problems of Dale Street have been treated successfully based on his last 2 runs. A good winner of a maiden hurdle at Limerick over this trip in July he followed it up with a good 2nd to Heaney at Ballinrobe last month and that is the best form on offer here. Kalico Kim has won over hurdles here and is the one most likely to benefit should the Dale Street revert to his old ways. 1 point win for nap purposes Dale Street 5/2 Boylesports BOG

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 30pm @ Haydock 'Purcell' 4/1 (Coral) Can't really believe the price on this one today as I would have it a lot shorter. Won what looks a better race than this last time out and looked like moving to 7 furlongs wouldn't be a problem. Placed form the run before that also seems to hold up well, with the 1 directly in front winning next time out and the winner that day running well in a decent race last time. Moore booked too which is only another positive. 1 point win

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 2.20 Chepstow - Kaizen Factor e/w 50/1 paddy power catches the eye based on booking of probert who is 1/8 on millmans 2yos , with 4 additional places. Selection finished 27 and 20L off the winner first two races but if needing those runs to get fitter and improve then can see it getting in the places

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 21:20 Kempton 2m 0f Class 5 eventmasters co uk Handicap Selection: Diamond Penny – 4/1 BetVictor Diamond Penny has been running well in better company recently, finishing 3rd on each of his three starts this year in Class 4 races. Dropping back to Class 5 company here and also with the blinkers on for the first time should see him go well in Kempton’s final race over 2 miles. On his most recent start at Haydock in a handicap over 1m 6f, he was beaten little over 6 lengths by the winner Silver Samba but only a head behind the second placed Merchant of Dubai, who has previously won Class 2 races but more recently been running consistently in Class 4 contests. The former named had previously run well over 2 miles, including finishing 3rd at Ascot back in May in a Class 3 event. Diamond Penny raced towards the rear of the field and closed in on the leaders well when Steve Drowne asked him to quicken. He never looked like catching the winner but he stayed on well inside the final furlong, and the extra 2 furlongs here should be suitable. Diamond Penny’s sole win came back in 2010 as a 2-year-old when he won a maiden race at Newmarket over 7f by 3 1/4 lengths. The form of the race hasn’t been the strongest since, but it was an impressive victory and he’s been lightly raced with only six starts since. Judging by previous runs, the step up in trip to 2 miles should be suitable and the horse has raced on Kempton’s polytrack surface twice previously. Coming into this race in good form in what looks an easier contest, this race appears to be an ideal opportunity for him to add another victory to his name. The biggest danger in the field could be Jezza, most recently seen finishing 2nd in a Class 4 race at Newbury, he’s 1lb lower here and goes well on all weather surfaces, with four of his six wins coming at Wolverhampton and another at Southwell. However, Diamond Penny looks to be open to further improvement and is the selection.

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept Kemp 7.20 - Highland Acclaim - ew at 14/1 bog bet365 Mystique Rider should win this on form but he'll be a short price and the yard haven't had a winner recently and have never had a winner at Kempton. He's also drawn wide Take an EW chance on Balding's runner who's been gelded since his debut. That was a decent effort in an Ascot maiden and could well have improved through normal development as he's been off the track for nearly 4 months.

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 9.20 Kempton - Bow to No One 1pt win @ 8/1 Bet365 I will have a go at the last seeing as there is nothing else! I do like this horse although he often stays on well once the race has been lost. He is a CD winner is a well handicapped at the moment. His last 2 runs have been disappointing but a repeat of his effort at Ascot a few runs ago would give him a huge chance. He has won off higher marks in the past and hopefully he can return to form now switched to the all weather.

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 8.50 Kempton - 1pt win Villoresi @ 15/2 (Sportingbet) Can be forgiven when not disgraced last time on softish turf and potentially over a trip slightly too far for him. Was an impressive winner on debut here on the polytrack and was unfortunate not to make it 2-2 at Kempton when beaten a head in a slowly run race over c&d back in June. This should suit better with likely more pace to run at and his two turf efforts since suggest he has progressed a touch since then too. Back under ideal conditions today and James Doyle on board, looks a decent price.

Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept 8.50 Kempton: Jeeran, 12/1 Boylesports, win Jeeran won his maiden lto in good style. Second won nto. He has been given a mark of 88 which he should be competitive from with expected improvement. This is his first run on an a/w surface but his sire's offspring have a good record on the a/w so hopefully it will suit. Trainer Ed Dunlop is in decent form and Paul Hanagan is in the saddle.
