cpo Posted August 3, 2013 Share Posted August 3, 2013 BBOTD Sunday 4th 2.30 Chester - Day of The Eagle 1pt win @ 7/1 Ladbrokes Has been running well of late and the visor might just eke out a little more improvement from him. His last visit to this track ended up with a win so track form is a plus. He has been handed a good draw in 4, which is also very important here but maybe more importantly is how this race will be run. There looks to be plenty of horses in this that like to front run with some of them drawn very wide. This could turn into a right burn up and could be very messy with some horses trying to come across from a wide stall. Hopefully my selection can stay out of harms way on the inside of the track and just stalk what could be a fast pace. Graham Gibbons takes the ride and the horse has already been backed tonight. Should be able to build on that and a 3 pound rise is fair. He was backed from 25/1 into 8/1 last time out so connections clearly feel the horse is ready to win. Top class filly has won this race for the last 2 years by 4 lengths and 5 lengths Won her prep race impressively on seasonal debut, quickening away to win a group 3 by going on for 3 lengths Has a tough task today against the best British sprinter, Lethal Force..........he's been a revelation this year by running the legs off everything from the front. On his only run over hurdles he finished 4th at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting to Ned Buntline and meets nothing near that calibre here. The ground was possibly a bit firm that day also and this slightly easier surface will help him as he does stay well. The trainer has only had the horse for 3 runs so is still learning with it, but a repeat of its first run for the stable would put it in with a major chance here. The trainer has only had 6 runners at the track and 4 of those have been place - ideally I'd like to see some recent trainer form, but at the price, I think this is worthy of an e/w bet.
