Cracking price on Pompey IMO. I don't see how Sheffield United can be such strong favourites away to us at the weekend. We were about five minutes away from beating Brentford 2-1 on their own patch on Saturday, if it weren't for a couple of very very quick fire goals we would have gained another superb result. It really does show how far our squad has come over March / April. I don't know much about Sheffield United's current state, but they looked, quite frankly, rubbish :lol when we played them earlier in the season. They're form has been pretty patchy as well, and I'd say they've a playoff place sewn up at this stage. Considering this will be our final match at Fratton Park in League One, for at least a season I would expect the fixture to draw a decent sized crowd, and for the atmosphere to be fairly pumped. Anything above three looks value for Pompey here, get on it now before the price drops :ok

Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April Oldham - Yeovil AH0 2.19 Pinnacle 5/10 Don´t know the reason why Oldham is favourite here. Their home record is one of the worst in this league (6-4-11) and their form is mediocre at best. They lost all their home games against teams from the top (Doncaster, Sheffield, Swindon, Brentford, Bournemouth, Tranmere). That´s why I think Yeovil should be closer to a win. Their away record shows 10-4-7, almost 50% away wins. This year they only lost two games so far (at Colchester and home to Swindon). Have to back Yeovil in this case with a draw cover.

Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April Completely agree with DJ Rob. There is no way Oldham should be favs here. The two teams are separated by 30 points! Yeovil have ten away wins whilst Oldham have won just six at home, so there isnt a great deal of home advantage. Oldham also missing two key players in Baxter (top scorer and best player) suspended and Captain Wesolowski injured. Can only think that people assume Gary Johnson will do his son Lee a favour considering Yeovil are assured of a play off place now whilst Oldham desperately need points to stay up. This is nonsense though. Yeovil still have an outside chance of automatic promotion if they win all their games and keeping momentum going into the play offs is huge, as the experienced Gary Johnson will know. Yeovil have the much better players all over the pitch and a much better manager too. Yeovil dnb is cracking value.

Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April Agree with that 25/05. I would also state that Yeovil have considerably more than an outside chance of automatic promotion. They have a game in hand of Bournemouth, a win tonigh puts them 2 points behind with 4 games left. I think yeovil are the better team and 2/1 B 365, looks pretty big.

Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April I agree on Yeovil, have been backing them all season long and will continue to do so this evening. I don't see Gary Johnson doing anyone any favours and he will want to win in case Bournemouth happen to slip up against Carlisle (unlikely I know) but they will need a win to keep up hopes of finishing above Brentford and therefore in theory have an easier game in the play offs should they fail to finish 2nd. Yeovil draw no bet is a massive price or even Yeovil or draw double chance.

Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April I feel evens would be a good price especially if this is an easier match now for Scunthorpe than what it would of been had bury not already been relegated. Considering it would be in my acca it is certainly a price I would take.

Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April Can't believe the prices today. Taking Crewe-Swindon to draw @ 4.7, Bury to win @ 4.1. Scunthorpe aren't Man City, and Swindon are on a run of three scoreless away losses and are a draw machine at home. I know certain teams need wins, but that doesn't mean they will.

Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April Looking ahead to Saturday I find it impossible not back Bournemouth against a Carlisle side with nothing to play for. Bournemouth have huge momentum and at this stage of the season its all about the teams who want it the most, need the result and are not thinking of their summer holidays. Price has shortened to 1.44 but under the circumstances this still holds a little value in my view. I would also back Swindon, Doncaster, sheff Utd and Brentford for the very same reasons. But Bournemouth stands out a little more for me.

Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April Preston North End vs Tranmere Rovers Happy to take the home side here. They are yet to lose at home under the stewardship of Simon Grayson. They're undefeated in 6 only conceding 1 goal in the process of that run. Tranmere have lost 4 on the bounce without scoring in that period and have really blown their chances of a play-off spot coming off the boil at the wrong time. In truth, Tranmere have not been the side they were earlier on in the season where they had Jake Cassidy on loan from Wolves who was re-called. Injuries have not helped their cause with captain James Wallace suffering a long term injury and another key player in Andy Robinson picking up niggling injuries throughout the second half of the season. Preston to win - 2.2 BetVictor

Portsmouth are currently 4.2 and Sheffield Utd 2.0 Sheffield seem to have had a lift since Danny Wilson was sacked. At the moment, they also still have a chance of automatic promotion. I guess those could be some of the reasons for the odds. Pompey post-take-over might be bouyant, but Sheffield have more to fight for. Personally, Pompey look good value to me at 4.2 I must say ...

Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April 3pts Hartlepool (+0.75AH) to beat Brentford 1.92 BetVictor Brentford are missing a couple of key players here and having only won seven away matches all season they don’t really appeal at the odds. I know they need to win but that’s never meant they will win. Hartlepool look to have found some spirit and heart from somewhere and on their own patch they will want to give their fans something to cheer. I think they look good value on the Asian handicap because the pressure is all on Brentford here and their away form doesn’t suggest they are certainties to deal with it. Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April I can't see anything past a Yeovil home win against Crewe today. Crewe have had a horrible run of games since their JPT win, losing against Donny, Brentford and Swindon. In the game away to Donny, they had 16 shots against their goal, and 20 away to Brentford. A demolition was just around the corner and that came against Swindon who beat them 4-1. It doesn't get any easier now against Yeovil. With the amount of shots the opposition have had against Crewe recently, I can see Paddy Madden having a field day! Yeovil win 1.7 William Hill Paddy Madden FGS 4.5 William Hill

Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April League 1....Bournemouth vs Carlisle over 2.5 goals @ 4/5 bet366 stakes 1/10.Bournemouth should win this one but I'm not going to be sucked in at a low price.Carlisle are unbeaten in their last 6 and make the long journey with nothing to play for so they shouldn't be playing for a point. They have scored in 16 of their away games and conceded in 17 of them. The cherries have to win this one and should push forward, they have scored in 20 of their 22 home games and conceded in 16 of them. These two teams are top of the over chart Bournemouth's games average 2.84 per game and Carlisle's games yield 2.89.Both squads are in pretty good shape so if Carlisle don't try to shut up shop, which I don't think they'll do then I think we'll see a few goals....

Re: League 1 > 16th - 20th April Preston are too short for me, especially with nothing to play for. Brentford do look very short too. Think Stevenage +1.25 is a bet. Swindon been very unconvincing generally at home against lesser sides. They have a lot of injuries today too. Westley will make it difficult for them and I think Stevenage can get something.
