Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February This final we be played in the Amsterdam Arena. So extra motivation for ajax, they have to score and win this game against bucuresti because playing there will be difficult for every team. Ajax are having no problems with their starting line up, no big injuries. Last week against roda, ajax played well but was not able to score the second goal and roda was very lucky. One thing the missed last week was a real striker, De Jong was playing there but is more a number 8 or 10. So big chance Sigthorsson will play again after his long injury, but he is still not able to play 90 min. Cuenca on loan from Barca can play. Probarly line up: Vermeer, V Rhijn, Alderweireld, Moisander, Blind, Poulsen, Eriksen, De jong, Cuenca, Sigthorsson, Fischer. Or maybe De Jong will play as striker than Schone will play on the midfield. Bet Ajax to win Odds 1.50 10 units

Mate, did you watch the game between Ajax and Roda?! You say they played well. In my opinion, they were terrible. Just to make it clear for people who did not watch the game - Ajax could barely create any decent chance and they made so many stupid and elementary mistakes. I would never take a 1.50 for such inconsistent team against a very experienced side like Steaua. Just my opinion, though.

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Ajax played superb against Vitesse. Against Roda they couldn't finalize, though created a lot of chances. The Romanians didn't play an official game since 66 days ago. But I don't know if I take something here.

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Fedar I'm agree with you about Ajax they play very bad agains Roda but on the other side Steaua was playing only friendlies in last two months and if Ajax want to go in next round they must win at home. Same thing is with Anzhi,Zenith and Dinamo Kyev, dont know how is their form since they didn't play in their ligues. Anyone have some infos about Italian teams are they gonna play with strongest team and how serious they look at EL since we know that in group stage Napoli was travel at Stockholm and Dnipro without some important players?

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Napoli squad: De Sanctis, Rosati, Britos, Campagnaro,Gamberini, Rolando, Donadel, Dzemaili, El Kaddouri, Hamsik, Inler, Maggio, Mesto,Zuniga, Calaiò, Cavani, Insigne, Pandev Inter squad: Handanovic, Belec, Vedove; Silvestre, Rannochia, Pereira, Juan Jesus, Jonathan, Nagatomo; Zanetti, Kovacic, Alvarez, Cambiasso, Guarin, Gargano, Benassi, Pasa; Cassano, Palacio, Milito, Garritano Lazio squad: Marchetti, Bizzarri, Guerrieri; Biava, Dias, Konko, Radu, Ciani; Pereirinha, Cana, Ledesma, Mauri, Candreva, Ederson, Lulic, Gonzalez, Hernanes, Onazi; Floccari, Kozak, Rozzi. I'd expect strong sides from all three teams. Lazio are the only travellers but play Siena on Monday so the problem is minimised. I can see all three sides scoring and conceding. I don't know anything about their opposition so insight would be welcome.

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Strangely quiet in this thread. Guess everyone has been too busy with CL Well I fancy Spurs to beat Lyon tomorrow at home. Its more of a bet against Lyon than for Spurs but the Bale factor is important. Lyon have been pretty poor of late and Spurs played very well against Newcastle so I expect the good home form to continue. The main thing for me here is that AVB takes this competition much more seriously than other managers and they don't have a game this weekend either so they don't have to rest anyone. 9/10 bet for me, really fancy it Spurs 4/5 with bet365

The support had a conflict with the direction but there will be full support against Steaua. I do not know how good Steaua is exactly, but I expect Ajax to dominate the game at home. Ajax have some good results in the European Leagues with great play.

Dzontra, I agree that the form of Steaua may be questionable, but people seem to forget how well Steaua did away from home in the group stage - not a single loss against tough teams like Stuttgart, Molde and Kobenhavn. And people sometimes over-emphasize this thing with the winter break and only friendlies being played. Shakhtar yesterday totally deserved to beat one of the best teams in Europe - Dortmund, and they also had played just friendlies so far. Steaua is not Shakhtar, but also Ajax is not Dortmund. I know the Romanian team, and they can defend well, and they really enjoy when they are left to play on the break. The point here is about the price. 1.50 is very low and undeserved in my opinion. Ajax should be 2.00 - all the stats prove it, and knowing teams in detail also proves this. Don't forget that Ajax are a very young and inexperienced team, and this is not an advantage when we talk about European tournaments. Taking Ajax at any price below 2.00 is not a good deal in my view, and at 1.50 it is certainly a bad one.

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Leverkusen - Benfica Two excellent goal-scoring teams meet here and the price for over 2.5 is 1.80 - nearly as much as the unders (they are 2.00). I particularly trust Benfica for this over. They have a joke defense and will certainly get punished by powerful Leverkusen attack. On the other hand, Benfica are outstanding when they go forward - they got excellent and pacey wingers, very good shooters from distance and the mighty forward Cardozo acting as an anchor in attack. A lot of Benfica games go over 2.5 exactly because this match of very strong attack and poor defending. Over 2.5 @ 1.80

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Atletico - Rubin Atletico are absolutely clinical at home - they have got 21 consecutive home wins! The last time they failed to win at home in any competition was on 2nd of May 2012 when they drew with Sociedad. I doubt there is any other team in Europe that can boast such record. The secret of Atletico's home form is their collective play, which includes fierce pressing of opposition deep into their own half, plus the amazing goal scoring talent of Falcao and Diego Costa. 9 out of the last 10 home games of Atletico finished with a clean sheet victory for them. Given that this is a two-legged tournament game, it will be very important for them not to concede. Rubin are a tough side, but they are under-performing in the Russian league, despite the money invested in them and the quality players. They are clearly an under-ish and defensive minded side. They are difficult to break through. I suspect Atletico might take some time before they score the opener. The later the home side opens the score (if they score first), the bigger the chances that they won't concede a goal. Atletico win to nil @ 2.10 (bet 365)

Motivation is a key factor in these games. Anzhi vs Hannover Hannovers first match in Russia ever I believe and most of the players haven't played on this type of artificial grass which is quite a large advantage for the home side. Couple that with the fact that Hannover are in very average form and anzhi should have a much much stronger squad and I think they are the strongest bet of the day. I've heard etoo 2 or 3 times talk about how important winning Europa league is to them so it's obvious they are serious about it. Anzhi to win 7 points @$1.72 betfair Anzhi to win to nil 4 points @$ 2.93 betfair. Anzhi -1 3 points @ $3.10 betfair.

Eto'o is in doubt (probably will play), but the even worse thing is that topscorer Traore won't play. Key defender Samba left the team, while Willian (arrived from Shakhtar) will make his debut. Also keep in mind that Anzhi hasn't played an official match in the last two months. On the other side, Hannover have an impressive performance in Europe this season, 7-3-0. However, they miss several regulars including captain Cherundolo, Eggimann, Stindl... Defenders Schulz and Chahed are fit again. I see Anzhi as a favorite on the artificial surface in cold weather (-8 degrees), but don't like their odds.

But I don't know if I take something here.[/quote'] Ajax are the favorites but Fedar is right, they are very inconsistent. You are talking about the fact that the were superb against Vitesse. I assume you are talking about the win in th cup, the 0-4 away, which was played at neutural ground because Vitesse homebase was unavailable. You gotta make the side note that they also lost 3-2 to that same Vitesse 4 days before that. After being 0-2 up. That right there shows you the inconsistency of Ajax. If there would be a price of 1.90 on them, I would say yes. But 1.50 is way to low to take the chance.

Gladbach will play a league game in Hamburg only 36 hours after this match, but they have no important absences tonight. Also, Stuttgart is in the worse form in last 25 years! Genk is dangerous team and both of them don't have important absences, so away (handicap) odds are tempting, IMO.

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Anzi - Hannover 96 Anzi win to 0 2.60 bet365 Anzi are better team if we see their squad. For this game L.Traore will not play and Eto'o is in doubt but may be he will play. They sold Samba but they bought Eshenko and Willian. They have not play since december and will play in Moscow which not support this bet but Luzhniki pitch is from artificial grass. Anzi knows better how to play on this pitch than germans. Let's take a look at Anzi home matches in EL: Anzhi vs. Budapest Honved 1-0 Anzhi vs. Vitesse 2-0 Anzhi vs. AZ 1-0 Anzhi vs. Liverpool 1-0 Anzhi vs. Udinese 2-0 Anzhi vs. Young Boys 2-0 On the other side we have Hannover team who have only 2 wins in last 7 games and they come at home against lower teams. They have problems with injuries:Cherrundolo, Eggiiman, Stindl who are regulars, newcomer Pocognoli is injured too and other log term injuries. I thinks germans will not have many chances in freezing Moscow (temperature will be like -8C). Odds for Anzi clear win is too god for me.

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Leverkusen's good home form, having only lost 1 all season as hosts (against Dortmund). Leverkusen DNB @1,57 bet365 --- CFR Cluj have been losing at both half time and full time in their last 5 matches in UEFA Europa League. Cluj's domestic league has not resumed yet after a winter break and subsequently they have only been playing friendlies for match fitness in recent weeks. Inter @1,53 bet365 --- The guests - after won at home in last round of group stage 1-0 over Atletico Madrid played just one friendly game 3-3 with bulgarian team Levski, that's not too much. Napoli seems to be confident at home: Serie A - 12 matches, 9W-2D-1L, 30-11 Napoli @1,50 William Hill

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Gladbach should play their best squad against Lazio although they play away at Hamburg just 2 days later. Gladbach conceded 3 goals against Leverkusen although Leverkusen were denied a penalty and had a legal goals called offside. Over 2.25 looks tempting against Lazio.

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Dear english friends. Will we see full-houses tonight in the clashes between Newcastle utd - Metallist K and Tottenham - Lyon? I really think this will play a relative part on English sides playing at home. I fancy them to take the win because of a free weekend and pretty solid home records. Also fancy Atletico M at home, they are quite outstanding when it comes to Europe especially with Falcao fit again. Kind regards!

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February If it's helpful: Here's a squad that Lazio went for match: GK: Marchetti, Bizzarri, Guerrieri; DEF: Biava, Dias, Konko, Radu, Ciani; MID: Pereirinha, Cana, Ledesma, Mauri, Candreva, Ederson, Lulic, Gonzalez, Hernanes, Onazi; ATT: Floccari, Kozak, Rozzi. Lazio without Klose (29 cap/14 goals), Brocchi (11/0), Zarate (7/1), Mauri has little malleolar injury (30/4) - probably will play.

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Inter Milan v CFR Cluj - both to score @21/20 Coral Don't underestimate CFR Cluj now, especially after them beat United at Old Trafford. Romanian teams do take every competition very seriously and Paulo Sergio will go for a win at San Siro tonight. Christian Chivu is out for Inter with a muscle problem and this is a blow for Milan's defence but with Millito, Palacio Cassano and Ranocchia in form they have plenty of attacking options. In the league, CFR Cluj have scored in every match away except one - against Steaua ( 1-0 ). I know they haven't played an official match since 6th of December 2012 but I don't think this is gonna be an issue. Also, 2 of the 3 home Europa League Group matches for Inter finished 2-2 against Rubin Kazan and Neftchi. I think 21/20 it's good value.

Re: Rest Of Matches > Thurs 14th February Based on news that is available right now, I am quite sure this is how Napoli will line up: Napoli: De Sanctis; Gamberini, Rolando, Britos; Modesto, Donadel, Dzemaili, Zuniga; Hamsik; El Kadouri, Cavani Insigne has been withdrawn due to a high fever. I would certainly hope Mazzari goes with Hamsik instead of forcing Pandev to play in there. It's a relatively strong group of players but key areas are vulnerable. It's an un-tested back 3 which can certainly be unsettled. The Napoli midfield isn't so hot either. Depending on the approach of the away side I don't think Napoli can control this match. Inler is so important in that respect. Cavani is always worth a goal and if Mazzari cares to link him with Hamsik then Napoli will certainly be very dangerous. If Plzen have a go in this match I think they can score in what would be a to-and-fro match. Does anyone have any indication as to how they may approach the match, and what danger they possess? Goals are my thinking in this one. I also think there is value with Lazio but I would like to see a line-up before deciding. Most of the team is easy to predict, but I'd like to see the back 4 before committing.
