Re: Championship 6th November Middlesborough look good value at forest. They are in great form especially away from home. Forest have decent players but are not good enough to be priced as low as 2.15 here in my opinion. I also see value in Palace at Evens. Ipswich won at the weekend but are still struggling and Palace are on a great run. Evens seems a bit big for Palace at home given the disparity between the two sides over the season.

Re: Championship 6th November notts forest v middlesbrough middlesbrough great away record last season, have a great record away this season. beating charlton away on saturday was their 4 away victory in a row. Great recent record lots of come from behind victorys to boost moral and momentum. forest are better at home then charlton are and they have a great team on paper but the team are a bit hit and miss, they dont always gell as a team. And wont be full of confidence after getting thrashed by millwall at home this saturday. I think mfc have a GREAT chance to carry oon this unbeaten run and the +0.5 1.95 line/odds offered now represent great value imho.

Re: Championship 6th November c palace v ipswich dont normally go for home favs but the odds on this are to good to miss. c palace on great unbeaten run which the new manager carried on this saturday, go up v ipswich who have gt a new manager after their bad run and who won also this saturday but by all accouts were probaly lucky to hang on, with the brummies missing a hatful of chances. I cannot see zaha and co missing their chances thou, and ipswich have struggled to score away this season. and the 2.0 odds for the straight win offer great value, palace have more then a 50% chance of winning this, probaly about a 60% and i cannot see these odds hanging around for long.

Re: Championship 6th November There is no value in Palace @ EVS, it has been priced correctly imo. First of all Palace are flying at the momment, the performance against Blackburn on Saturday was excellent and by the looks of things we're gonna make a good go at promotion this season with a top 6 finish now a distinct posibility. We play an extremely effective 4-2-3-1 system which is now operating at it's peak, offering great defensive and offensive dynamics. Our new manager Ian Holloway should be incharge for the Ipswich game and while I don't expect him to completely throw a spanner in the works I don't think he can improve the team beyond it's current playing capacity which means he can only worsen things as they stand. Don't get me wrong, I believe his appointment is a positive one for the club but in the short term it may cause some disruption to our currently flawless operation. Second of all Ipswich should be on a bounce now they've hired McCarthy, the performance at Birmingham was decent enough and more importantly the win will boost confidence. 80% of total points collected for Ipswich this season have come away from home (although I expect their home form to improve very soon). Ipswich have a very decent squad, it's just their psychology which has been flawed and the decent appointment of McCarthy will soon remedy this. The potential form correlation of the two sides mean this is not a good time to back Palace, it's also a midweek game which often throws up suprises and bannana skins. Palace have been on a great run but now the bookies have finally caught up and are pricing us accordingly. Ipswich are not a million miles away from being a half decent side and this is ofcourse the championship, anyone can beat anyone. If you have a strong feeling for Palace then go ahead and bet on them but this is a danger game for us and I can easily see us dropping points against a rejuvenated Ipswich outfit. I would want Palace -0.25 @ EVS minimum for this game before I even considered backing us.

Re: Championship 6th November Nottingham-Middlesbrough AH+0.5 away @1.80 5/10 bet365 Nottinham were destroyed with 1:4 at home to Millwall at the weekend. They have won just 5 out of 14 matches so far. Lookin at their oppponents, they only beat Cardiff (1.) who are a good team, the others were Barnsley (20.), Charlton (21.), Peterborough (22.) and Bristol City (23.). Definitely not the best record at all. Middlesbrough are on a really good run having won the last 5 consecutive matches. They beat Charlton 4:1 away from home. Now they have some injured players back which gives coach Mowbray more possibilities. I don't see them losing here against a Nottingham side that is still searching for their form. Really good odds here. GL

Re: Championship 6th November The Championship is a great league for both teams to score. I have saved all games and the stats for the games so far and there are four games I think look great for this market tomorrow: Thefirst game I like the look of is between Bolton and Leicester. Bolton'slast 6 games have seen both teams scoring and they take on a good teamin Leicester. The Foxes have had 10 out of their 14 league games come for thebtts market this season and I expect they will get a goal against aBolton team who have conceded in every league game but one this season. Burnley host Leeds which seems like the perfect match forboth teams to score. Burnley tend to score plenty of goals and CharlieAustin has been a big contributor this season for them with 19 alreadyso far in the league. Out of their 14 games 10 have had both teamsscoring whilst Leeds have had their last 12 out of 13 games come in! Gofor Nottm Forest v Middlesbrough. Notts Forest are a good championshipside and I expect they will get a goal at home. Furthermore 10 outtheir 14 games have had bts. M'brough are doing incredibly well and arecurrently 2nd in the league. They have scored in 13 out of 14 leaguegames and 10 of those games have had bts. Watford v Millwalllooks an excellent choice. Watford's 6 out of their last 8 games haveseen both teams scoring and with them being at home I expect them toscore. Millwall are scoring for fun lately They scored 11 in theirlast 3 games and 11 out 14 games this season have had the bts come in. Hope that is of use to those who like the both teams to score bet. Re: Championship 6th November burnley v leeds this season burnley have quite a bad record v top half teams, only beaten derby, and and under form wolves side on saturday gone. and they lost the other six games. They more comfortable scrapping it out with bottom half teams. Leeds have picked up most of their points home and away so far v bottom half teams like burnley. With bechia looking to start again i think this is a lot closer then the bookies suggest, more a 50/50, so the +0.25 1.99 represents good value.

I don't really like going with the consensus, but Middlesbrough do look good value at 3.6. Boro have won four of their last five away, Forest only one of their last five home. And Boro have been playing well too by all reports I've heard. They should perhaps be slight favourites here (i.e. under 3.0).

Re: Championship 6th November I see everyone's on Middlesbrough, and I can't argue with that. Great form and decent price, although there are some unnamed possible absenteens for Boro. 3.60 at bet3000 is good enough for a small bet anyway. Crystal Palace also look like decent bet at 2.00, despite Ipswich may be the side to end their long unbeaten run. Defeat for Palace is probably around the corner, but they are going really great lately, and are worth a punt. As already mentioned, win at Birmingham could be a big boost for Ipswich, and they had some success against Palace in recent seasons, so only small stakes on Palace for me. Burnley vs Leeds smells like goals, and even at 1.67 looks worth a bet on Over 2.5. Bet of the day for me is Peterborough to beat Brighton @6+. Brighton are in obvious downtrend, 7 games without win, and Peterborough showed some signs of improvement lately, with 2 wins in their last 2 home games. They have identic record in home and away games (2-0-5), so playing away from home doesnt look like disadvantage for them. 6.20 at 10bet looks way too high. Elsewhere, Bolton should edge Leicester in my opinion (2.50 at blue square), and Under 2.5 @2.11 in Birmingham vs Bristol City game.

Re: Championship 6th November

Be careful guys. It is CL night :)
That´s what I thought. Results can be strange on CL nights. So Peterborough @ Brighton with odds around 6.44 (Pinnacle) could be worth a small shot. Brighton had a decent start but are without a win for a while now. At home their record is only 2-3-2. Peterborough improved a little bit after a bad start and managed a few wins (e.g. Hull and Huddersfield). I suspect that the gap between the teams isn´t as big as odds suggest. In this league odds around 1.5x hardly pay off. Peterborough AH+1 @ 1.94 looks nice as well since Brighton don´t score too many goals.

Re: Championship 6th November watford v millwall with the probable absence of impact watford player hall, who when nt playing this season watford have a 1-0-4 record andf with hime playing have a record 4-1-3 but 2 of those losses watford were well in control untill they gt players sent off. millwall have a excellent record away playing bottom half teams and are also on a excellent recent form. Even on the outside chance hall does play, i still think millwall have a better chance then the bookies suggest at getting something out of this game. millwall ++0.25 1.9

Re: Championship 6th November birmingham v bristol city bristol are showing some really bad recent form, and are conceding a lot of goals. they will be without top scorer steven davies. The brummies did have a decent home record until recently where they have lost 3 out the last 4 home games. they probaly were unlucky to lose v ipswich last saturday where they missed a lot of chances and they did beat leeds prevoius game and made a great comeback to draw 3 all with in form millwall so are showing some improvement of sorts. they are nearly even money 1.97 to win but usually dont score early ( only scored 2 in first 30 mins) all this season and have been cristised for being crap in first half at home games. But i do fancy their chances tonight but foir reasons above i might wait until 30 mins into game with livebetting and if still 0-0 and a more favourable -0.25 line around 1.8-2.0, i maybe have a punt.

Re: Championship 6th November Hull v Wolves +0.5 @ 1.925 Bet365 (4 points) I think Hull are a bit too short here and there is some value on theWolves handicap. They have lost their last couple of away games but before that they were in great form. The Wolves manager has hinted he could shake it up a bit tonight and Ebanks Blake could be dropped for an extra midfielder which could make them tougher to break own. Both of Hull's wing backs face late fitness tests and if they are out Hull could be forced into a change of formation. Ultimately I think the line on Wolves is just too generous as I would have only made them +0.25.

Re: Championship 6th November Derby v Barnsley +0.75 @ 1.85 Bet365 (3 points) The price on Derby is coming in and as such the Asian line has seen Barnsley pushed out to a +0.75 instead of +0.5. That line is just too generous for my liking and Derby aren't a side I see justifying such short odds. Barnsley's results have been poor of late but their performances haven't actually been too bad. Ok, there becomes a point where you need to be picking up something to show for it and Barnsley do need to start doing that. But i don't think Derby will be in for an easy match tonight and if the Tykes lose by just 1 goal only 1.5 points stake is lost. That certainly makes the bet appealing to me and I will take a play on Barnsley.

Re: Championship 6th November Bolton v Leicester: Over 2.5 Goals@ 1.80 Coral ( 3 points) Bolton have scored in all but 1 of their home games this season whilst Leicester have scored in every away game. Boltons last 6 games in a row have gone over with 4/5 of their last home games obliging. Bolton really struggle to keep clean sheets and Leicester are a hard side to keep a clean sheet against. So all in all there looks like a good chance of this going over! The 1.80 available with Coral looks a fair price.

I hadn't noticed. Are you quite sure that league results on CL nights are 'stranger' than other nights? If so, what is the explanation? If it really is proven fact, then there could be value on backing 'strange' (or shock) results on CL nights.

Re: Championship 6th November Shock results have typically been more pronounced in the lower leagues on Tuesday-Wednesday night games, when compared with daytime weekend games. However, much to my chagrin, that has not occurred this year to the same extent across all leagues, and League Two big favorites have done pretty well. So far this season on weekdays, big dogs in League Two are 4-3-11.

Re: Championship 6th November

Birmingham should be able to take the points against a Bristol team who have been hit with alot of missings lately.
you obviously havent watched brum at home this season! with the hapless lee clark in charge we are extremely poor at the moment and if bristol score first then it could be game over, clark has set the team up to play away hence a couple of good away wins but at home when the onus is on us to take the game to the opposition we havent got the nous to do it. one goal in the last four home games and the crowd poisonous and booing at the first oppurtunity would not make me want to bet on the blues. in fact imo bristol represent value at the odds on offer clark has mentioned a different game plan tonight so it will be interesting to see his team and tactics but he certainly doesnt convince me with his baffling team selections. hope we win for my lads sake who has gone to the game but not confident but in fact i have had a bet on the robins at then it

Re: Championship 6th November This yeear i am finding very difficult to follow this championship that I have been attracted a lot last season with West Ham, Southampton, Reading, the same Cardiff and others, howerver is strange noone has mentioned cardiff at Charlton. It is one of the most unpredictable s league in the world, i have taken the 2 at 2,40 in single with light stake, 2 of 10. Charlton was a force at home last year, Cardiff is not good away and I have had a feeling that this is the right game to start some winning row, in order to finally chase promotion after years of sudden misses.
