We lost three players in the summer that were worth 50 plus goals last season, Mills,Mcdonald and Gregory. Not easy to replace. Coupled with an unbelievable amount of injuries which began pre season the squad is now threadbare and it looks like a few are playing with niggling injuries. Confidence is shot at the minute and the manager looks to have run out of ideas how to stop the rot. Need to grind out a couple of scruffy 1-0 wins somehow, be interesting to see if the trophy games saturday are priced up at the bookies as we're at home to a lower ranked struggling side

I'm off to watch Hednesford v bromsgrove in the southern Prem central tonight. My team bromsgrove have been very disappointing so far this season and seem to be getting worse if anything following comprehensive defeats to needham and Hitchin in the last two. Hednesford were expecting big things this season but they've been poor so far and are bottom of the league also sacking their manager a few weeks ago. I never back against my side if I'm going to watch but we seem to be carrying a few with injuries and giving up loads of chances to the opposition. 6-4 hednesford looks a good price as

The referee struggled all game as usual at this level(not easy with all sorts going on)with both the tamworth management team booked in the first half, loads of bookings in the second half. First sending off was in the 94th minute for a Tamworth player getting a second yellow for overcelebrating their equalizer and then a second tamworth player sent off on the final whistle for dissent. I took hartlepool and kings Lynn singles and a double after reading your write ups I was at the bromsgrove v Tamworth game, once again an absolute belter, bromsgrove letting slip a 2-0 lead going onto the 90th minute partly due to losing the spine of the side through injuries in the second half.Anyone that finishes above Tamworth will be top three on this evidence whilst Bromsgrove will also be around the play offs if they can get everyone fit imo

Was at the Rushall v Bromsgrove game, cracking advert for non league football, Rushall should have been out of sight first half but a spirited second half from bromsgrove saw them lead until two goals in the last ten minutes saw Rushall home. That's three sides, Rushall, Coalville and Stratford that I've been impressed with already, gonna be a cracking promotion race in this league with loads of good sides

Agree with Rushall being overpriced against my side, I'd make them slight favourites if anything, on a 4g pitch as well, will be going to the game so hopefully the bookies are right and we come away with three points. Already had a few quid on Leiston priced 5-1 away at Biggleswade, Biggleswade deserved more on Saturday but Leiston thrashed Biggleswade last midweek in the FA cup, the only reason I can see such a big price is the long midweek travel for Leiston

Tough league to call so far the Southern league Premier midland, still early days so hopefully it will settle down. Looking to midweek bet365 have a couple of weird prices imo Rushall 3-1 at home to my team, 50-50 game at best imo on a 4g pitch and Leiston 5-1 away at Biggleswade who aren't worldbeaters

I'm on Bromsgrove as well to beat Biggleswade, Biggleswade lost to a side that will struggle this season St Ives last Saturday and were then hammered 5-1at Leiston in the FA Cup on tuesday. Bromsgrove drew with a good Coalville side last Saturday and were a bit unlucky losing to a late Stratford winner in the Cup, both these sides are better than Biggleswade so a performance anything like should see a Bromsgrove win imo I'm also backing Stratford at 13-8 to win at Needham Market, Stratford looked very impressive at Bromsgrove with bags of pace whilst Needham are a lower midtable si

I was at the bromsgrove v Stratford fa Cup game on Tuesday night, cracking game between two good sides, bromsgrove scored first and possibly should have won it but a very late goal won it for Stratford, on this evidence both should be top half minimum. Both of these sides face inferior opposition on Saturday imo so will be looking into the prices

Hi Darren, any thoughts yet on the Northern and Southern leagues? Due to covid I'm out of touch with all the comings and goings at most clubs, I do watch the Southern league Central regularly so hopefully I might have some decent tips as the season progresses. I'll be at bromsgrove v Coalville on Saturday, bromsgrove looked decent pre season with some good signings but Coalville are always strong! King's langley look a bit of value at Stratford imo

Fa vase saturday My local side bromsgrove head to Watford way to play sun sports who ply their trade a level higher in the spartan league, they are currently mid table losing more games than they have won.bromsgrove meanwhile are unbeaten in their league this season and despite being a level lower are a quality side with some very good players and I expect us to win this game with a couple of hundred fans travelling to the game as well, our average crowd is over 500 which is phenomenal for the level we play at. Gosports money issues continue with 4 players making themselves unavailable for Boxing days 2-0 defeat at home to Poole town,they couldn't fill the bench. Today's the reverse fixture and you've got to fancy Poole to win but at a best 2-5 it's too short,therefore I've taken Poole minus 1 at 11-10

Chelmsford beat bishop stortford 4-0 on Boxing Day and only the goalkeeper of stortford kept the score line down apparently, this was stortfords second 4-0 defeat on the trot. Stortford keep signing players(3 more this week) but don't seem to have any continuity and look a team worth taking on.chelmsford have had investment this season and should win this one.
