Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 Chester 725 - Kenyan Cat 9/2 Bet365 BOG I think this race will be perfect for this horse to get another win on the board. She is as reliable as they come and has good form over course and distance and as long as she gets a good break and takes up her usual handy position then I am confident of at least getting a good run for my money!

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 3:55 Folkestone - Ginger Ted - 1pt Win (20/1, Ladbrokes) Perhaps stupidity once again to choose this horse before the money comes but taking the chance that it may do in the morning. Extremely well handicapped based on past marks where it's been competitive, surely there must be a winning race in this horse one day soon, just depends when connections want it it may seem. Hopefully tomorrow is the day and taking the chance it may be. Competitive this time last year winning a race of 85 with a 3 pound claimer on board, has a 3 pound claimer on today as well but is running off 74 so with the claim is running off 71 tomorrow. Has won on good ground in the past so hopefully the firm going won't inconvience too much. Just hope for a good run for my money this time ! Good luck all.

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 5.20 DONCASTER COMPTON PRINCE @ 9/1 BET365 BOG Hcap debut for this one that ran well in a decent maiden last time, the winner of that maiden has run 2nd in a good York hcap off 84 and the second has won off 78. Compton Prince gets in here off 69 and should still be on the upgrade. Cox is +14.50 at the track and this looks a fairly weak hcap.

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 *Le Toreador - Newmarket 9:10* Has won over this sprint trip an incredible 10 times already, and even though it finished 15th at York last time out, it was travelling as good as any until the last furlong, and this is a much easier race, dropping from Class 3 to Class 4. It is back down to a leniant mark of 84 also. Kevin Ryan does very well on this course, he has had 12 winners from 101 runners producing a profit of £12 to level stakes. *1 Point WIN @ 7/1 Paddy Power BOG*

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 Chester 7.25 Reyamour 5-1 (bog) Bet365 A filly on the upgrade she posted her best effort when winning for me last time out at this venue, quickening well off a sedate pace. The step back in trip shouldn't bother her as she's won at Salisbury previously over the distance. With only a few runs under her belt there's plenty of potential and improvement still to come and better still she's likely to go off at a decent price with the in form but more exposed Kenyan Cat in the line up

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 4.10 Doncaster Royal Swain is only a pound above his last winning mark here and that was here over this distance. Ran in a decent race lto and the step up will be more suitable. Winston (not one of my favourite jocks) has been riding well this year and knows the horse well having won on him twice. Stable in fine form and should go very close here. 1 Pt win 7/1 Hills

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 7.30 Curragh - Fluidity - 1pt Win 7/1 Boyles Cracking card at the Curragh tonight and I'm going to give Fluidity another chance. It looked like he just didn't stay the 12f lto and the race might have come too soon for him after only a 4 day break. Back down to 10f on soft ground should be ideal and he's had a couple of weeks to recover. He absolutely bolted up two starts back in these conditions and despite a 16lb rise the handicapper might not have him just yet. Nothing will travel better than him 2f out but its just a question of what he finds in the finish.

8.30 Fairyhouse - Fluidity - Win 11/8 VC Fluidity bolted up at the weekend and is back out again with a 5lb penalty but he's due to go up 16lbs in future. He didn't show much form before that but the step up to 10f and hold-up tactics seemed to bring out the best in him. He's stepping up again here to 12f and there is a question about him staying based on breeding. But its hard not to see him stay based on his last run at Navan which is a pretty stiff track and the ground was soft that day. Ground should be slightly better at Fairyhouse tonight. In terms of the opposition I can't see Purple reverse the form as he was beaten 8 lengths eased down in that Navan race. I really like Shamooda and he's a big danger and is proven over the trip. But by Azamour he might be not be at his best on this ground. Not much of a price and not a particularly strong fancy but I'll take Fluidity to go in again.

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 4.10 Doncaster Acitivate - showed signs of a revival on last start and looks well handicapped on the pick of his best form. Effective around this trip and has won at Haydock which is similar to Doncaster in character 10/1 bet 365, 1 pt win

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 7:55 Chester Bekermet - Can handle the course from 9 runs 2 wins and 3 seconds. After a reasonable run against the well handicapped Pearl Ice at Ripon off 83 finishing second went to York and couldn't find a position to ride any type of race. Last six runs are 3,3,3,5,2,7 so knocking on the door. Dropping a class for today with a mark of 82 and reasonable draw in 6. Ruth Carr stable is in fair form with 5/26 last fortnight 0.5EW 7/1 Bet 365

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 9.10 Newmarket WHOZTHECAT win @ 11/4 bog (Bet365 and many more) Talented sprinter who won twice in 2010 as a 3yo in handicaps over the minimum trip off 85 and 88 and went really close (third) off 88 in a big handicap (£31k to the winner) at Doncaster (Nov 2010). Struggled to win last year but collected a lot of good performances as usual over 5f and probably the best two efforts of the season came over today's C&D last July when twice second off 87 in class 3 handicaps (third also in a class 3 handicap off 87 over 5f at Pontefract in between). Didn't run well in his last outings of 2011 but came back in good style when a close second of his new low mark of 79 on his seasonal debut at Redcar last April (5f, class 4 handicap, 15 runners) and came back to form on his last two starts again off 79 when 5th at Doncaster over 5f (17 Jun) and 2nd at Thirsk over 6f (19 Jun). Last time out was beaten 1/2L with the third 2.25L behind and the remainder miles behind. Drop back in trip, booking of Ryan Moore, the best jockey around atm imho, one of the easiest races he's contested in in the last 3 years and trainer Declan Carroll back in form with 3 winners and 4 seconds with his last 15 runners in the last fortnight, makes Whozthecat of extreme interest in this race.

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 430 Folkestone: Clowance House 1pt (100/30 Boyles/Sky) Interesting little handicap and a couple opt hurdlers at the head of the market. Fav Alfraamsey is solid enough and sure to run his usual game race although the AW surface may suit him better or firm ground on turf. Not sure he'll get that here so worth taking on with a possibly well handicapped sort in Clowance House. Hasn't ran on the level for a long while but was rated 87 when last seen and gets in here off 75. Is in good form at the moment over hurdles winning last time and trainer Barry Brennan has had one or two attempts to win a few quid in the ring lately and was successful with one ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies the other day, his brother William takes over here and his 7lbs allowance looks pretty useful in a tight handicap like this. If he retains his flat ability he should win this at the weights with something to spare.

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 Could do with this one going in today.... Musselburgh 15:10 - Oddsmaker - 1pt win @ 7/2 BOG (BetVictor)Oddsmaker finished 2nd over course and distance 2 weeks ago and only went down by a neck. It appears that he jockey mistook the finish line and stopped riding out early causing the selection to lose its lead and ultimately the race.Conditions are pretty similar again today and dropping down in class should again go well. There is a 2lb rise in the weights to cobtend with hut that shouldn't prove too significant today.Tom Eaves pilots today who certainly won't mistake the finish line around here!Best of luck all.

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 Newmarket 8.05 - 1 pts win Sioux Rising 7/1 William Hill Hasn't won for a while but I think this looks some what easier then some of the races he has contested lately. Beaten a length on this mark 3 runs back suggest he is okay weighted. I think he's a tad too big in the market.

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 2.40 Musselburgh - 1pt win Jordanstown @ 6/1 (Bet365) Weak maiden this and it is certainly a fair bit easier than the race Kevin Ryan's runner contested last time out at Haydock over 6f. He wasn't disgraced that day behind a few horses who have gone well since - including a couple in the junior races at Royal Ascot. On that evidence the step back to 5f won't inconvenience and should go closer today in this company. Clearly was in need of the debut when well beaten but staying on late behind the top early-season 2yo Storm Moon and a few other more forward runners. The yard are in form and have an 18% strike rate with 2yos at Musselburgh. Think he's a little bit overlooked in the betting.

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 LAWFUL 2.50 Folkestone. 0.5 points each way. Showed little last time, but debut run was decent enough and so shown the ability is in there somewhere. The blinkers go on for this run, and with that being a bit early, I still feel it will help and it could show improvement on last time, and more importantly that decent debut effort. Blinkers may not work, but trip and ground not a concern and the price is there to take the chance in an unexposed race. 20/1 Bet365 BOG

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 Arctic Lynx 3.55 Folkestone. 1 point win. Raised in the weights without winning to a mark of 84, and although that's 5lb higher, it still gives him every chance in context with this race. The trip and ground's not a concern and the race should be run to suit. Should go very close. 9/2 Bet365 (bog)

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 530 curragh Where 5/2 SJ coolmore run three in this race with this one the supposed best shot as it is the pick of joseph o brien, now the established number one jockey at the operation. has a good draw and has seen money. hopefully will be able to justify the market support and win its maiden.

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 8.40 Newmarket Layline 1pt win @ 20/1 Bet365 I think its clear to see that this horse is better on the all weather as he has just 1 win on turf to his name. That being said he did run very well in the silver cambridgeshire last year at this track to finish 6th of 22. That run came off a mark of 82 so he is 5lbs lower here in what is a less competitive race and over a trip that suits him more. He clearly didn't enjoy Epsom last time out but should be much more at home on this track.

Re: BBOTD - Fri 29th June 2012 9.10 Newmarket: Showboating, 11/2 BetVictor, 0.5pt e/w Lto Showboating finished third at Newmarket (not the July course) over six furlongs. He drops back in trip to five furlongs today which could suit as he showed a decent turn of foot lto. He has also won over five furlongs in the past. He won the race before last as well. Frankie Dettori is in the saddle and he is an eye-catching booking. This jockey/trainer combination have already had a winner today and have a good chance of making it two from two.
