BBOTD Sunday 4th of December

Recommended Posts

Midnight Opera - Warwick 1:40 Runs off same mark as last run when trading very low in running, looking as if it was going to win the race, trading at 1.35 in-running. Didnt finish to best effect though but should definately be thereabouts again tomorrow. Both its wins have come over the trip of 2 miles and looks a big price in a small field of poor quality. WIN @ 13/2 Hills BOG

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December 14:40 Warwick Spring Moon Win (3,00) Bet365 After a series of three runs, whit three second placed, Spring Moon got an excellent chance to win his first jump race. He will face Getmeouthedoldrums once again, but he is a bit lower in the weights. These two, meet, at the latest race in Huntingdon, where Spring Moon beat Getmeouthedoldrums. To help Spring Moon get the best run posible, he will be wearing visor, for the first time. Spring Moon recent form. PU-3-2-2-2 The jockey Cawley are booked, for the second run in a row. He had a decent couple of weeks, winning 13,33 % of his runs.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December Jockey W.Hutchinson rode a double today so he might be getting a wee turn, i'll take a wee stab in N/H flat race to end the day's racing at Warwick. Trainer A.Price's runner had no race first time up, he ran wide like a big baby but today he could be anything just like alot of the field. It is a stab in the dark bet but when jockeys are riding well sometimes it pays to stick with them and have a wee go. He's a crazy price in a wide open race. Warwick 3:40 Race 7 on the card, John's Oscar - 0.5 e/w bet SP Enjoy your day.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December Sous Les Cieux - 12.50 Fairyhouse 1pt win 5/4 VC Very highly regarded by his powerful connections, enough for them to promote him straight into a Grade 1 race. Hacked up on its seasonal debut a few weeks ago. Key piece of form is from his last start in France where he finished a few lengths back in 3rd - Sir Des Champs was the winner and Satou was 2nd (nice winner at Sandown on Friday). That was over 2m 2f on soft ground so he should have no problems handling conditions tomorrow.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December 1:10 Warwick - El Mondo - Back Won both of his 2 starts over hurdles in decent style over in France and could be a decent prospect now brought over to Ireland and switched to fences. He looks to have a nice pedigree and could end up making up into a decent chaser. George Nympton is a credible opponent but only managed 2nd lto and may have to settle for the same position again here 1pt win @ SP

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December 2.30 Kelso Beamazed win @ 10/1 Ladbrokes Think Malcolm Jefferson's unexposed chaser has a decent chance here. He is bred to get marathon trips and I fully expect him to relish this trip in the conditions tomorrow. In February last year this horse won over 3m 3f over hurdles at Sedgefield on heavy ground, and looked full of running at the finish. He has only had 3 runs over fences with his most disappointing effort coming over 2m 4f which is too short for this horse. He won well at Carlisle over 3m on his chasing debut and ran a cracker a few weeks ago on his seasonal return to action behind Prophete de Guye who went on to win again in a better contest. With that run under his belt, he should be spot on for this and hopefully he will run a cracker. Ballyfitz is the biggest danger as he loves these marathon trips and ran a brilliant race last time out behind Galaxy Rock. Beamazed however is unexposed and I think the further he goes the better, so tomorrows race should suit him down to the ground!

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December Fairy 1.50 - Voler La vadette - win at 15/8 bog wm hill Good days jumping at fairyhouse today with 3 grade 1 races It's a poor turn out for the 1.50 - the Hatton Grace, a grade one hurdle over 20 furlongs and this should give my selection a chance of winning a grade one race She's won three times at grade 2 level and finished 3rd here last year behind Hurricane Fly and Solwhit and in front of Mourad who reopposes today This is her trip and she goes well on soft ground, she's also a CD winner and gets a 7lb mares allowance Mourad probably needs further - he might well go off and try to stretch them and make it a test of stamina, which would suit my horse as she likes to be held up but wouldn't want a farce of a tactical race The main danger could be The Real Article who's lightly raced and won a couple of grade 2 races impressively lately but to date he's only won at 16 furlongs. A tactical crawl and sprint would probably suit him The other runner is a good handicapper but hopefully will be outgunned in this company

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December 2:00 Kelso - Take The Breeze - 1pt @ 6/1 (Ladbrokes) When the testing conditions come out to play, Take The Breeze becomes an exceptionally interesting betting proposition and today this talented animal gets his ideal conditions for the first time in a long time. Paul Nicholls' 8-year-old grey really can't have the ground soft enough and although he could probably do with it being even softer than it is at the moment, he will be right at home under today's conditions. The sharp nature of the track will also suit this often prominent racer and there looks to be no obvious reason as to why he can't get involved in what is a decent race, but not one of the quality that he's usually involved in. Take The Breeze comes here on the back of an eye-catching seasonal reappearance run over hurdles nearly 6 weeks ago. Under today's jockey, the very capable Harry Derham, this smooth-travelling performer tackled some useful hurdlers over 3 miles at Aintree on good ground off a 12lb higher mark than he had ever won off over the smaller obstacles. That was the first time that he lined out over hurdles for well over 2 years and he was also going nearly a mile further than he had ever went in that code. In the race, he travelled wonderfully, certainly as well as anything, and came with what looked to be a strong challenge before his effort petered out. That run was so pleasing, as despite not jumping his hurdles too well, Take The Breeze was still bang there until he began to tire about 2 out, shaping as if he'd come on for the run. Nicholls now decides to send him back over fences, the code where he's at his best, and I feel he should run a big race here off a very workable mark of 140 after his capable jockeys claim is taken into account. It's also very interesting that his trainer is making a near 750 mile round trip in order to just run this fellow and he hasn't made the long trip to Kelso since the beginning of 2005 (3-8 at track). The reason for him coming all the way here is beyond me but he certainly has an interesting runner and I feel that 6/1 is on the generous side. This horse is very talented on his day, certainly better than most of the opposition, and he should go close here now that he's getting something like his ideal conditions for the first time in nearly 2 years. Medium win stakes for me and hopefully he'll go well, although he's not without his risks.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December 0.5e/w momkinzain 50/1 bet365 kelso 12.30 this is a very poor race except for maybe the odds on fav our jo mac who should win it,its the 2 places behind that im interested in,and i think momkinzain can grab one of those if it comes on from its last run just a month ago, momkinzain has had 11 runs todate winning two, second in two and a third also(only 7 runners in the 3rd but only beaten by a lengh and a bit),sportinglife have priced this up at 16/1 so the 50/1 i am happy to take, very small win bet on bf matched @ 85,and a small to medium place bet which is available @ 10/1 plus

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December 12.50 Fairyhouse The Royal Bond Novices' Hurdle - The roll of honour in the last four years reads: Muirhead (2007), Hurricane Fly (2008), Dunguib (2009) and Zaidpour (2010). Noel Meade has this won this race three times in the last decade so his IL FENOMENO immediately commands respect. He sets the form standard based on his last time out Grade 3 victory at Navan, when he showed a good attitude to hold off stablemate Dylan Ross. Dangers are plentiful; Willie Mullins' supporters will be hoping for an incident free run from Midnight Game who met with interference on his hurdles debut and was outbattled in the finish but the yard's stronger representative is Sous Les Crieux, a maiden hurdler winner last time that has Ruby on top. Still, he looks short based on what he's acheived to date and is 5/4 based on potential. The value on the race lies with the Meade charge IMO. Il Fenomeno 4/1 Ladbrokes

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December 12.40 Warwick - Miss Brownes Fancy ew 12/1 VC Was quite funny actually only just noticed the horses name in race sponsorship lol Formerly trained on flat by David wachmam up until the 28th Nov this year and now joined Mcpherson who can ready them first time out over bumpers and hurdles. It stayed 1m4f on flat , btn 5L on last start and only reached a peak OR of 54 so could be one of those that improves when changing codes. The filly is sired by Encosta de Lago who has only produced two runners over jumps , Horseshoe Reef who admittedly has only won over fences but placed on 4/7 starts over hurdles and another was The Resistance who had one run in a 3yo hurdle and beaten a fair way.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December Kelso 2.00 Always Right win - 5/1 Lads Should still be on the upgrade and ran a cracker in the Scottish Grand National given too much to do. This trip no problem for him being a C&D winner and I expect him to continue to progress this year. Yard is in great form and despite it being a very tough race, I think he has the most scope and if buzzed up on seasonal reappearance should be the one to beat.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December 1230 Kelso: Our Joe Mac 8/11 Corals Not much time today so this looks solid enough, Our Joe Mac ran a very promising race first time out over hurdles when second to Molotof at Haydock, he was ridden paitently and kept tabs on the front two and finished in front of Plenty Pocket who had decent form too. The danger looks to be the debutant Merchant Of Dubai which will keep the price resepectable.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December SA SUFFIT 2.00 Kelso. 1 point win. The class act of this field and remains in good enough form to show his class n this and go very well. The trip and ground's fine and the handicapper gives him chances of a mark of 149, despite being 3lb higher than his last run over fences. Should have the race run to suit and go well. 13/2 William Hill BOG

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December 2.00 Kelso - 1pt win Skippers Brig @ 8/1 (ladbrokes) This horse will enjoy the conditions today being a soft ground winner and a Kelso winner. Has some high class form and is largely consistent. Jumped around in the national but this suits more and he should go well. Has run well fresh too.

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December GetMeOutheDoldrums - 2.40 Warwick This horse was half a length behind one of these last time out. That was* Spring moon and this pair finished 2nd and 3rd last time out.I think that a few blunders on the way round cost it and if it can get round well today I really think that GetMeOutheDoldrums can overturn this form. It is in decent form at the moment being placed on all appearances. An improvement in attitude is needed though so cheekpieces are tried. GetMeOutheDoldrums win @ 9/4 Boylesports*

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December 3.30 Kelso Right Enough goes handicapping off a very workable mark. Stable in great form and most of these look exposed. Will appreciate the step up in distance and looks sure to run a nice race.Ground shouldnt be a problem either, looks overpriced here. 1 Pt win 17/2 Stanjames

Re: BBOTD Sunday 4th of December Looked like a decent horse on debut but hasnt backed that up in three races since.Harry Haynes claims 3lb and has won 2 from 8 here at Kelso this season.Trainer Lisa Harrison is 1 from 1 at Kelso and theres no reason if running like its debut why this horse couldnt make it 2 from 2 0.5 E/W@ 125/1 @ Ladbrokes
