Also bwin doesn't let you know which country people are from, so what are you basing this on? I'm pretty sure that last year there were at least 500 entries for each game, not sure which site it was on then. The only way people from other countries can play is if someone with a mag passes the pw on - hardly the poker sites fault. Bart(UK) Posted September 25, 2011 Share Posted September 25, 2011 Re: Poker Player Grandprix 7 Agree with Al, a small nominal payout for all qualifiers would be good both as recognition of the achievement but also to help cover any travelling expenses etc. Traditional ladder (each place paying slightly more) for top 9, top 10 or top 12 always provides a good tournament imo. In this I mean as opposed to the 'blocks' where several places receive the same payout. The latter can (imo) artificially slow up a tournament with people hanging on desperately for the next block and then donk shoving everything once achieved. Final thought is that I personally favour putting all the money into the prize pool as opposed to using some on bounties for PP staff as it's just luck whether you get drawn on a bounty table etc, but maybe include a PP T-shirt as a bounty instead. Hope this helps Alun, just the brain storm from one person though, I'm sure others will have alternative thoughts that will help you to decide one way or other. Although both throw up the same issue. Flat prizepools mean there is a relatively small prize up top. We can give everyone at least $100 for their troubles but that means a top prize of no more than $1k. Starting payouts at say 20th place means we can have a bit more up top for those that win.
