In the 2.30 at Carlisle Jimmy The Saint is the only winner in the field, 2nd last time out when running in a 2M 4F but couldn't find anything with the winner that day. Should find today's shorter trip more suitable. The 3.00 at Carlisle has Victors Serenade as the favourite, I feel he is favourite today purely because of his recent hurdle form and could be found out on his first race over the bigger obstacles today. Lord Villez or Solway Sam could likely take this with my preference being for Lord Villez, Lord Villez acts on the going and looks to be coming into form. Solway Sam returns to today's shorter trip after three previous disappointing attempts at three miles. In the 4.00 at Carlisle, Decent Lord is returning to a more suitable trip after finishing 3rd in a 2M 4F race where he ran on one paced. In his penultimate race which he won, the second (Form And Beauty) went on to win his next race. Some near misses. Over at the Curragh, K Ryan runs two in the 4.35. Steed and Blue Moon have both been running well on the all weather here in the UK and are both race fit. If the all weather form translates to turf then they could go well today.
