    Blackburn vs Cardiff
The Championship matches are in full swing on Saturday and I want to cover the game between Blackburn and Cardiff at 3pm BST at Ewood Park. As a Cardiff fan myself, I can tell you now that I'm worried about this one. We've had a season that's really not started in the way we wanted both on and off the pitch so heading to one of the in-form sides isn't exactly mouth-watering.
Blackburn were seen as a team that could have gate crashed the play-offs last season if the odd moment had gone their way rather than against them. Tony Mowbray has carried that optimism into this season with Rovers winning 2 of their opening 3 league matches. Their season got off to an eventful start when they lost 3-2 away to recently relegated Bournemouth. That result has been followed up by two convincing wins as they've destroyed Wycombe at home 5-0 and Derby away 4-0. The standout being Adam Armstrong banging in 5 goals already in the league as the team has hit the back of the net 11 times.
Cardiff have endured problem after problem so far this season. The departure of super sub Danny Ward disappointed many fans before the season had even began. Failure to re-sign Dion Sanderson added further woe for the Bluebirds supporters. Then there was the sacking of Nathaniel Mendez-Laing over his alleged drug abuse. Most recently, the sale of fans favourite Callum Paterson for just £500,000 to rivals Sheffield Wednesday has been labelled as poor business. Results on the pitch have also left fans demoralised. The 2-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday on the opening weekend was gutless. The 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest was an improved display but still felt like a gift of a result. Then the 2-1 defeat at home to Reading was another performance lacking creativity and desire. There is hope that generally we have done well under Neil Harris away from home having scored in 6 of our last 7 away league games so hopefully we can trouble Blackburn here.
OK, so under Neil Warnock I was getting my predictions spot on and after becoming familiar with Harris's style of management I was starting to find some consistency in our predictions again. Unfortunately, we're so erratic already this season that it's become difficult again. I'd like to think we could cause a surprise here and get the win but I just feel we have too many players out of form right now. Our wingers lack pace and creativity, our midfield is flat, and our strikers just aren't getting the service. Our defence has also been a little bit more shaky than it was last season. Problems all over the pitch. Sadly, I'd be pleasantly surprised if we got anything from this game. I fear we could lose by a couple of goals if we aren't switched on from the start.

Sheffield Wednesday is a banker for a home win. I'm a qpr fan and are away form is shocking. Warburton struggles to get any consistency going away whatsoever.
Sheffield Wednesday minus 1.5 and maybe btts no.
    Watch us win 3 nil...

Boro have been playing with plenty of promise despite not winning in their opening 3 games.  I wouldn't take too much notice of the cup loss against Barnsley and they look a good price at around 5/4 to get up and running.
Derby are in dreadful form (the only solace for a Forest fan so far!) and I'd expect Norwich to despatch them easily enough so 7/10 looks very fair.
Probably worth opposing Wycombe until they show they are up to this level so Luton another one for multiples around 4/5.

    Treble pays almost 6/1.

Not had a bet yet, tempted by Stoke and Swansea at home. I think Reading may struggle but I'm not sure If I want to back Wednesday away.
Interesting to see how Forest get on, could go either way, loads of new signings again so could be in for a slow start...and hopefully improve as the season goes on.

Great info there. I'll be going with some of the games that mean something instead of the so called dead rubbers.
    - BRIGHTON - Brighton to beat Bristol City at home to be crowned champions.
    - SHEFF UTD - Sheff Utd already won the league and Chesterfield bottom. But if Sheff Utd win they will break the 100 point mark.
    - BOLTON - Bolton to beat Peterborough to guarantee automatic promotion.

Some very rare value around today in my opinion and not what we tend to see at this stage of the season, going to break with tradition and have a few pokes.
Going to list the odds and bracket the computer odds of the games of interest below, any win bet that looks optimistic will hopefully be covered by LAYS of the teams at poor odds.
    Birmingham 2.55. (3.45) v Huddersfield 2.4. (3.0)
    Lay Brum @ 2.56 BF.
Birmingham made a poor decision to sack Rowett and matched it with the choice of Redknapp for final three games, a proper lay despite home advantage. Both teams have all to play for so have to come down on the side of seasonal performance.
    Blackburn 2.1. (2.66) v Aston Villa 3.9. (3.1)
    Lay Blackburn @ 2.12 BF.
Blackburn impressed me at Forest two weeks ago, shutting up shop and scoring with a dead ball situation to win 1-0, not performed like that since so just one win in last six is reason enough to lay them despite home advantage.
Villa were so poor not so long ago, even the home fans were tired of the excuses from Bruce but have seen the upturn in form that such an expensive squad should be achieving.
    Brighton 1.6. (1.59) v BristolC 7.0. (7.0)
    Brighton WIN@ 1.6.
No explanation required as Brighton really want this one and at value odds on all known form tables, and the fact that they have been the best in the division all season.
    QPR 2.52 (2.52) v Forest 3.15 (3.6)
    Forest WIN @ 3.15.
QPR on a run of six straight defeats and would have been in real trouble had this run started a few games earlier, many of us thought that the punishment for breaking FFP rules should have seen them relegated to the conference instead of promotion to the EPL a few years back, as Leicester should have been with the administration scam that ensured promotion to the EPL sixteen years ago.
Forest are recently out of embargo after three years for a lesser breach of the rules that also saw Leeds and Blackburn punished, all three clubs having paid a high price for not being able to reduce the wage bill. Blackburn may indeed suffer the biggest penalty and will sadly compound this sad situation of inconsistent punishment due to the corrupt nature of the game in recent years.
Warburton will have Forest ready for this as last week`s win over Reading has given us a great chance of survival against the odds in another season of poor ownership decisions and another three managers. Forest have now beaten six of the seven top sides with one draw despite all of this, and would be a poor show not to get something from this all important game today after putting themselves in with such a live chance.
    Reading 1.84 (1.71) v Wigan 4.6 (6.0)
    Reading WIN 1.84.
Reading really need three points at a real price here after the defeat last week, while Wigan are just poor and missing key players.
    Good luck today fellas.

The game marks the 20th anniversary since the last ever game at the Goldstone. The programme costs a fiver, the pies have the premier league logo on & the opera singer is back for a pre match sing song.

Sheff Wed have a good run (4W), solid home record, but H2H look terrible for The Owls. In my opinion 1.78 isn't big value but they just need to win because Fulham and Leeds are too close. I'll try them.

Hooters unfortunately is a magnet for twats on both sides, next time find the Navigation Inn on Meadow Lane turning left as you walk along the canal on London Road.
Twats will not go anywhere near a pub that is full of real ale drinkers, and would not be able to cope with a few pints of the local brews either.
Let me know if you are about in the future and there will be a decent beer waiting.

Profit of 4.09. Leeds pick was a damp squib as no show first half.
Typical of the bbc to claim that poor Leeds and Newcastle would be feeling it after the battle on Friday, wtf.
Tennis is far more physical than the less demanding sport of football, often get 3 hour matches that are often brutal before turning out again two days later.
The likes of Newcastle have huge squads due to throwing money at it as do many PL clubs, play in a virtually non contact sport and then claim fatigue

Boro are so poor recently that Arsenal can win and keep a clean sheet, this is a bet that i would rarely place on an away team but feel able to take a chance today.

I am expecting Brighton to beat Wigan tmrw & seal promotion. They will need to get something as they are fighting relegation, but we should be too strong for them.
After Newcastle. Slipped up on Friday, I expect them to take the game to Ipswich. The corner count against Leeds was 19-0. I reckon Newcastle could easily cover the handicap here.

I have a huge soft spot for your club. My mate Mitch has been a life-long supporter of you boys, my other friend Jonny made the documentary on your club's European exploits, and I just think you epitomise everything great about the history of the domestic game. I've also enjoyed a few trips up to the City Ground and have fantastic memories. One being where I got stuck in Hooters after a game because I needed a piss and it got surrounded by Cardiff hooligans (back when we had a load of twats following the club away just looking to cause trouble). I came out of the toilet as Hooters was getting bombarded by foreign objects with the place rammed full of Forest fans. I openly said "this is awkward, I'm a Cardiff fan!" and your lot helped get me out of there because I didn't have a Cardiff top on so if I came out I'd have been easy pickings from distance for the trouble makers with their throw shit and ask questions later approach. Made me ashamed to have those scum bags follow Cardiff away when the vast majority of our away support is superb and we issued widespread bans to those idiots that very season so not had many problems since. However, it has also meant that Forest have held a close spot to my heart. I would hate to see you go down and even though I'd be disappointed if we lost today I would take some solace knowing the loss has helped you lads in your efforts to stay up.

I have to fear for us today as Saturday was so disappointing with so much at stake, only difference today is that we will have space to play, something that was denied by a great performance by Blackburn at the weekend.
Forest will have to fight for everything today and will be a no bet for me, but if someone gave me a 50 quid stake and insisted it had to be placed on this game, then the odds on Cardiff would look to good to be true.
Wish you all the bad luck in the world today SD, but only today.

Not really a PL game, but thought more people will see it here:

    COLOMBIA: Atletico Nacional - Envigado 2 @ 6.00, X2 @ 2.60

    http://www.elcolombiano.com/deportes...gado-YA6332331
    Google translated:
After the defeat with Botafogo, coach Reinaldo Rueda made clear that all efforts will be turned to change the situation in the Copa Libertadores and, therefore tomorrow against Envigado (8:00 p.m.), will use the young. "Against Envigado we will not have nor the alternate team, we will be with the juveniles," emphasized Rueda.
This becomes a new challenge for those under Nixon Perea, coach of the U19 category and who from the defeat against Santa Fe in the semifinal of the Eagle-2 2016 League was waiting for the rematch.
"We know the responsibility, because the team is close to ensuring the quota among the eight and so far has not lost," said Perea.
He is not mistaken because a green victory leaves him assured in the absence of 7 days to finish the phase of all against all.
Perea recalled that defeat in the semifinals, 0-4 against Santa Fe, was before the champion of the South American and that all parties are different. Among the juveniles are Háider Borja, Cristian Moya, Sebastián Támara; Rodin Quiñones, Juan Pablo Ramírez, Duvan Uribe and Andrés Sarmiento.
Nacional meets his best start in short tournaments, accumulates 11 undefeated dates, with a less match that will play against Junior on 26 April.
Atletico played Copa Libertadores game 3 days ago, and are playing another one in 3 days... Their U-19 team is nowhere near the level of serious, senior football and those few senior players are those who played very little so far. Guest win is very likely here, odds will drop A LOT soon...

If you come and give us a game then you might well catch us off. We are struggling to finish our chances at the moment so if you can snatch one goal you stand every chance of taking something from us on Monday. Warnock has been slating a couple of players lately with the contract talks with Whittingham becoming an issue and Warnock admitting Manga is almost certain to leave. There are also rumours surrounding the future of half a dozen players who Warnock has to use due to injuries. Too many players with nothing to play for in our squad at the moment.

Very disappointing result for Forest after a dismal showing yesterday drags us back into the relegation fight, fair play to Backburn playing eight behind the ball and finding a winner from a set piece. Tough trip to Cardiff now and the history with Warnock will ensure we have a tough ask.
Delighted with the Brighton result and the follow up from Leeds, Seagulls would be popular champions with the neutrals to say the least.
Thanks to Brighton, a small profit on the day.

Well it will be interesting to see the Leicester lineup today to see how serious they are actually taking the Palace game. Obviously UCL quarter-finals is massive for them and they're still in it. Wes Morgan is out which is a boost for Palace.
1.80 for Palace is not really juicy enough for me to get involved today, Leicester are a good team in good form and they can hurt you when they go full cavalier. It's true that Palace played with great confidence against Arsenal which is encouraging but just because we won 3-0 doesn't mean we're gonna roll over the next team that shows up, football doesn't follow that logic.
Palace seems to be the public bet of the day I hope it works out for everyone  but I am not getting involved as I think markets have priced this one correctly.

Two interesting developments after the midweek games.
Crystal Palace are going to beat Leicester. Leicester have a real chance in the Champions League, and will probably rest 5 players. Their focus is totally on next week. This game means nothing. They are safe from relegation, and have no motivation here. Leicester in the Champions League NEXT WEEK is their once in a lifetime shot !

Having watched the Anderlecht v Man United game on Thurs, I gotta say that Man United are just average. It's just unwatchable !
Everything is wrong. Tactics, intensity, desire, work-rate, players. Valencia must have gone down the right side 25 times, and stopped, turned, kicked the ball backwards 23 times. Fellaini just shuffles along, making these useless sideways passes 20 times a game. Ibrahimovic is so slow, like a petrol tanker in the days of sports cars. Does it help United to have a 35 year old leading the line, to the detriment of Martial and Rashford ? Does it really help to play Carrick when his days are also numbered ?
Which players are doing better than expected ? The whole team, from manager to players look slightly lost.  United underwhelm almost every  time they play.
A couple of interesting stats. In last 13 home league games in EPL Man United have the lowest goals per game average (total goals in game / # of games). Their average of 1.69 compares to the highest (Bournemouth 3.61). In 10 of 13 games United have scored 1 goal or less. Compare this to Liverpool who have scored 2 or more in 11 of 13 home games.
United have won 4 of these games. These include wins over  Watford, Sunderland, Middlesbrough (wow great stuff). Forget blaming the strikers. These stats indicate something is wrong with the style of play and the tactics ? Not once this season has Mourinho really gone after the opposition. Give it a go, get stuck in and beat them 5-2 !!! Sure beats the hell out of watching 1 shot at goal every 25 minutes.
I would be really surprised if United got anything against Chelsea. They are miles of the pace !
Chelsea away win here  at odds of 2.95
