  1. Re: Brighton 17/07/07 4.00 BLUE MISTRAL ... won a similar C&D event nine days ago and can follow-up here. William Buick's a fantastic jockey for the future has the ride and with his claim, accounts for all but 1lb of the 6lb penalty in place for that success.

  2. Re: Favourite Horse Easily Dancing Brave for me - so so unlucky in the 86 derby but proved his quality in subsequent victories in the Eclipse, King George and Prix de L'arc with his devastating finishing speed. For anybody interested you tube have videos of all the races above.

  3. Re: Salisbury 14/07 7:05 ... Legendary Guest 2nd to Winker Watson on first appearance - but subsequent run was a huge disappointment and something clearly wrong at the time. Has had 77 days to recover and given an extra furlong - An equal run to the first would see him win this - danger is with flawed genius a stoute/moore combo but on times the selection have the upper hand. At 4/1 it's a free one at E/W but I'll also play the reverse forecast.

  4. Re: Folkestone 12/07

6:50 ... Flying Goose E/W 3rd on reappearance over the same distance and going - winner ran a great time and the 2nd subsequently won it's next race. At 4/1 a free one at e/w.
1st :nana readily available at 4/1 and steamed into 2/1 Fav
  5. Re: Massey discussion thread Something that maybe worth a mention here is to also look at the strike rate of any system. 2 systems may return 20% ROI but have vastly different strike rates - even with a 50% S/R it is highly likely to go through a losing run of 8 - so imagine how long a losing run on a 10% strike rate would go for. I'm not saying either is right or wrong as 20% is 20% but the paths are totally different.

  6. Re: Aelara's downfall?? Aelera could I just ask how far back these systems have been tested for ? - I know you said at the start you've been following these yourself for a few weeks but Masseys records go back a while - have they shown a regular profit each year ?

  7. Re: Aelara's downfall?? I dont mean this to sound patronising at all - but a non-runner is better than a loser - seems obvious to say but out of frustration / excitement / eagerness call it what you will, profits are all to quickly erroded - patience and discipline are the qualities that make this game pay. The best threads on this site regularly have no selections sometimes for days on end - keep up the great work

  8. Re: Bath 09/07 4:45 ... Dematraf Has won on todays ground and is 2/2 over the same distance and not out of the first 2 in 4 races this year - won only 3 days ago in a cracking time for the conditions, also down a class from last victory.

  9. Re: Brighton 08/07/07

Horse Name: Cactus Rose Racecourse: Brighton Time: 3.00 Roger Charlton has a 50% SR at the course and a 100% SR with runners in the money. He sends just 1 runner today, he ran a cracker of a race on his 2nd start since his debut at Newbury and is open to plenty of improvement and can lose his maiden tag today
With you all the way on this one Carl - know the law is the main danger.
  10. Re: Brighton 08/07/07 3:30 ... Manaal Won at Ripon in a class 3 on G/F (todays class 4 on G/F) is a Course and Distance winner and Trainer has an overall 60% strike rate at the course (64% with 3yo's) Following on from Fridays and Saturdays winners and the yard bang in form - Sir M Stoute could follow up here - as we know he's a brilliant trainer and tends to send horse to courses that have a great chance of winning - Brighton is one of those lucky courses.

  11. Re: The Value Lay I'm going to stop this thread as there is a conflict here - I can't run a lay thread hoping that it turns into a good backing thread :loon I'll keep monitoring and if it carries on performing as above I'll be back with a Backing thread - LOL !!

  12. Re: Sandown 07/07/07 2:05 Reverence ... Ok granted I'm not sticking my neck out here by picking the favourite - but a winner is a winner and this has a great chance. Won twice in Group 1 and once in a Group 2 and running today in a Group 3 - loves cut in the ground all previous wins have been the softer side of good including heavy - 5f is the best distance although also won over 6f - course and distance winner as well - the only doubt is that it hasn't run for 297 days but if it's ready it will win (reported to be in super form)

  13. Re: Wolverhampton ~ 06/07/07 4:15 CHORD ... Sir M Stoute has a 56% record with 3yo at Wolves. A Good 3rd in a decent race at Lingfield on G/S and sure to improve for that run. May find one to good in Guardian of Truth so advise E/W (10/1) or Place (3.50) on the exchanges.
