I'm backing Tiafoe (vs. Felix) at 2.75 with William Hill
These odds are insane. I agree Felix should be the favourite player, but not at these odds. Felix has won 3 consecutive tournaments and he's in a 15 winning streak, so we can say he's the most in-form player..., Despite that, I did not like what I saw from him in his match against Ymer. He was 1 set and 4-1 down..., and he even had to face 2 break points which means he could have been 1 set and 5-1 down. In other words, he was super close to lose 7-6, 6-1 against Ymer.
Tiafoe is in the best moment of his career. Semifinals in the US Open, Final in Tokyo and he comes from beating Sonego, Drapper and De Minaur, all of them in straight sets.
As I said, Felix should be the favourite player, but not at these odds. These odds are insane.

The first semi final tonight. Selby takes on Judd Trump. I am taking Trump to win and I think he wins it with a couple of frames to spare. I just think Trump looked alot more impressive in his match and although he wasn't scoring 100+ all the time, every time he got in, he managed to score enough to win the frame. He also looked very attacking and was always looking for the positive shot. I think that benefits this pick.
    5pts J.Trump (-1.5 frames) to beat M.Selby evens bet365

also to add if he does beat Xintong, which I think is likely, the Ronnie Vs Zhengyi rematch will be a good one if Fan brings that level of play that he showed in the group stage. A real possibility of making a final and hitting 100/1 (200/1 placing) for anybody following the outright tip.

I can't stand WillHill. I use them rarely. I can never remember my username because they give the usernames out and you can't choose your own and it's something ridiculous like wh329329329 lol. I tend to not use them but there wasn't alot out there and that price was a nice one. Hopefully tonights match there is something similar with a "first to 6" because I reckon he has a couple of centuries in him tonight.

Milkins hadn't got 2 frames against Ronnie for 20yrs before today but obviously today he would as I had a bet on it. Nevertheless the 7/2 came in with Ronnie getting a century in the final frame.

Zhengyi makes the semi-finals and will take on the winner of Ronnie/Milkins or Xintong/Nutcharut for a place in the final. Hopefully against Mark Allen

Doing rather fine so well, fingers crossed it continues!
Tommy Paul (+4.5) to beat Rafael Nadal at 1.73 with Unibet
This looks like a really good line to me given that Nadal hasn't played since the US Open, bar the Federer exhibition. He's also had a lot going on off the court, and the conditions are by no means that great for him, so +4.5? Yes, I'll take that!

As far as indoor courts are concerned, it's certainly on the slower side. Cressy did really well to beat Diego yesterday, the final break was super sweet, even. That's the only match I watched, though, and the ball seemed to be bouncing quite low in that one, so pretty much ideal for Cressy. For that reason, I'll be on Evans to beat Nakashima at 1.91 with William Hill today. The form book also checks out in favor of Evans, really.

16 players and all the winners over the last year put into one competition. I think the value is with Mark Allen here. It's hard to really know how he is going to play as the Northern Ireland open is always a big event for him where he raises his game. However, his form in general has turned around since his weight loss journey and it worked very well for Higgins for a while so why not.
Also like to always have a big underdog in an event and Zhengyi on his day can turn up. He gave Robertson a decent game when losing 4-2 recently and bottom line is if he beats Robertson then the bottom half of the draw is quite open. I was even tempted by Ryan Day
    2pts e/w M.Allen to win Champion of Champions 11/1 bet365
    0.5pts e/w F. Zhengyi to win Champion of Champions 200/1 bet365

I saw both players' last matches and I agree. I really like how Medvedev played against Thiem. Thiem played really well but he still lost in 2 sets. Sinner was not comfortable at all against Fran. I even had the feeling that he could lose against him despite the odds. Sinner had to face a break point in the first set when the score was 4-4...
Maybe the best option here is Medvedev to win the whole thing at 2.62 with bet365. Despite Sinner's problems to beat Fran, IMO he's still the bigger threat to Medvedev.
Medvedev will face Giron or Dimitrov in the SFs. I'm impressed with how Dimitrov played against Rublev, but Grigor was playing crap before coming here and a couple of good matches do not change that. Giron is playing good and he's dangerous on indoors, but Medvedev is out of his league.
Evans, Shapo, Coric or Hubi in the Final. Medvedev would be a strong favourite against any of them.
Hubi is still alive only thanks to his big serve (I have seen him really nervous, probably due to the fact that he's playing for a place for the ATP Finals).
Coric is playing good but he's still far from his best form and his main target is the Davis Cup Final.
Evans and Shapo are playing really good but I don't see them beating Medvedev. Daniil has beat Shapo in straight sets the last 3 times they have played and also beat Evans (3-0) when they met in the US Open 2021, which is the only time they have played before.
If you think Medvedev will beat Sinner then I think you should take him to win the whole thing.

Leylah Fernandez to beat Rebecca Marino at 1.47 with Unibet
Watched Marino a bit yesterday against Uchijima, and she wasn't holding her nerves together all that well. Fernandez is fresh after not playing much in 2022, and she should be able to clear this challenge as well after the two warm-up matches.

Yeh I saw part of it, Doherty played so-so, nothing special, some good long pots but equally a few shocking misses too and his positional play left a lot to be desired at times.
Like you said, Williams was a disaster, might as well not have bothered showing up! Anytime he got given an opportunity, which Doherty gave him on several occasions, he made an absolute meal of it. Only positive is as you mentioned that Doherty is likely to get beaten next round so that should provide some opportunities for us.

absolutely atrocious from Williams. So many chances. Now that it's 3-1, I hope Doherty does win so that I can lay him in the next round. Pony match.

The European Championships get going on Friday for another weekend of Darting action. After winning a maiden title at the Players Championships on Sunday, Josh Rock as come in to just 20/1 to win this event. Rob Cross is the defending champion. Somehow they are a similar price. Much will depend on if Rock brings his "behind closed doors" game to the big stage of ITV4. For me, that's too much pressure on the guy.
I quite liked the look of Clayton in this at 14/1 but I've left it and gone for some bigger prices purely because I think, for example, Chisnall is 40/1 and you look at the two. I'm not sure current form is that far apart.
    Here's what I've gone for :
    1.5pts e/w Heta to win Euro Championships 20/1 bet365
1.5pts e/w Cross to win Euro Championships 22/1 skybet
    --------------------------------------------------------------
    1pt e/w Chisnall to win Euro Championships 40/1 bet365
    --------------------------------------------------------------
    0.5pts e/w Dobey to win Euro Championships 80/1 bet365
    0.5pts e/w R.Smith to win Euro Championships 150/1 bet365

Just the one for me today but plenty during the week that look good. For today though
4pts R.Williams (-1.5 frames) to beat Doherty evens
Robbie Williams had a real good British Open, beating Ding 4-2, Haotian 5-1 and pushing eventual winner Day and eventually losing in a deciding leg. He led that match 3-1 and 4-2. Point is he's playing well and you can't say the same for Ken Doherty. 7 matches this season and 6 losses, including a loss to Ng On Yee. No disrespect to her, as she seems a decent player, but she beat Ken without hitting a 50 break. He won his last match against Dom Dale but was 2-0 down and come back to win 4-2.
