  1. Glad to see Littler get through, albeit in a less impressive way than last time out. Gilding really should have taken another set, enjoyable match though. Wonder how the bookies will respond to this less stellar but effective nonetheless performance from the young lad.

yep. sounds about right. With nothing to lose.

I think Whitlock will do  better in this one but I still think Anderson wins.

Phew! Anderson threw in two hundred plus finishes in the final set to take the full house but this wasn't a vintage Gary performance by any stretch of the imagination. He'll need to up his game if he's going to go deep in this tournament. Whitlock played very well I thought, deserved a set for sure, he almost took out 130 to make it 2 sets to 1, which would have made things very interesting, but it wasn't to be.

this evenings Darts has so far made me hate the game. 2hours in and we're not even near the end of the 2nd match. This Rivera is boring the crap out of me. If Barry gets through this then he is the biggest lay of the season in the next round.

Think I need to hold off the bets until the decent players start playing. This is horrible.

    * just checked and the winner plays MVG lol *

Aye Barry can be very hit and miss. Also plays well in spurts then falls off the wagon completely. Against MVG I wouldn't be surprised if he comes out all guns blazing and wins the first set, then gets destroyed for the remainder of the match! 😆

which is barmy. Price is value for once. 11/2 is a nice 'price' and couldn't put you off that at all.

Bunting looks the best value at 40s. Comes into it in great form.

Humphries most 180s at 3/1 looks a banker!??!

Yeh unless Anderson or a rejuvenated Michael Smith makes the final, it's difficult to see who beats Humphreys to most 180s.

  5. I know it's a couple of weeks away yet but the draw has been made and markets are open. One that interests me is the record for most 180s to be broken at 4/7 with Paddy Power. Extra incentive for the players as for each 180 scored, a grand will be donated to prostate cancer research.

I'm not sure about Yuelong/Higgins. Part of me thinks that Higgins wins it and probably covers the handicap and then the other part of me thinks Yuelong has a chance. Yuelong played really well against Neil. Let's not forget that. Not a bet for me.

In the Ronnie match, I've found a bet with WillHill for Ronnie to win the match and hit at least 2 centuries. We know how aggressive Milkins is and that gives chances for centuries. He played another aggressive player in Un-Nooh and we saw 3 centuries. Ronnie has won 10 out of the 11 matches that these two have played. The other one was the Snooker Shootout. In the last 5 matches, Ronnie has hit 8 centuries against him and 3 out of the 5 he hit two. They were "first to 4 matches

2.5pts Ronnie to beat Milkins and hit over one century 8/5 WillHill
2pts Both players to make a century (Ronnie v Milkins) 4/1 Paddypower

that first bet particularly looks very likely 👌

Expect a Heta win. Dolan has been very poor and like ya say Maik bottled it. Can’t see it getting to a decider either

Cheers Fader, I checked the stats just now and Heta isn't playing much better, looking at his averages and checkout rate, but yeh I agree he's the more likely winner here.

Shame Searle is playing Humphreys as his stats are very good right now, but Luke could well outlast him tonight.

  8. Anyone see how Heta played earlier? He's playing Dolan and Brendan knows he was very lucky to squeak through. Major bottlejob from Maik, he had several match darts but lost his nerve. Dolan stayed the course but you couldn't say he played well really. If Heta is playing half decent he should beat Dolan with a few legs to spare.

  9. What a shame Van Veen couldn't hold it together for the whole match, after being 5-1 up and comfortably the better player til that point. Presumably he got nervous as his scoring and finishing went right down after that and it was just a matter of time as to when Wade would overhaul him.

I think the bet tomorrow is Van Veen to beat Gurney. Rock didn’t turn up tonight and with Van Veen I wasn’t sure if his doubling would be that great on the big stage. He looked really good though and calm.

5pts Van Veen to beat Gurney 4/5 bet365

Very good call shame I didn't follow you on it! (although I do have an outright on Van Veen). Gian played very well aside from a lean spell in the middle of the match. His finishing was excellent, on this form he'll be hard stopped.

I’m tempted with both Walden and Gilbert tomorrow but just the one for me and it’s Sijun to keep it going against Wakelin.

don’t think wakelin has played that great and he’s just come up against poor performances. Sijun has been one of the best players this week for sure and should win this with a few to spare if you ask me

    2.75pts Sijun to beat Wakelin 10/11 Bet365

Only caught the last frame but Sijun was making uncharacteristic mistakes. Wakelin let him in and Sijun was in position to win the frame but stupidly took on a tricky middle pocket shot and ballooned it off the edge of the pocket after getting out of position and that was enough to hand the match to Wakelin. Poor stuff from the young Chinese.
