First of all thanks to the 59 players who took part this month, its not been easy trying to work out the races in America, Hong Kong and Australia so well done for those who lasted the trip. Hopefully we will get some European racing in May.
Craig Bluenose led for a long while and hung on to take the title despite Harry Faint getting a little too close for comfort in the last couple of days.
Daisychain and Internetmails filled the cash spots.
Roger had 13 winners and thanks to his 10/1 shot the other day made it past the magic mark and he takes the inaugural 'Most Winners' prize.

Naps Competition in May
Once again Punters Lounge will be paying enhanced prize money for the Naps competition during May. We may even get some European action with France, Germany, Ireland and the UK all threatening to return soon behind closed doors.
The KO Cup comp will return and the qualifiers from March will be eligible to enter on Saturday May 2nd.
We will accept bets from any racing from around the world during MAY and all bets outside of Europe will be settled at the Industry SP which appears on the ATR or the Hills Results section.
(*Racing Post publish dividend prices which will be different from the Industry SP)

We realise backing horses from the other side of the world is not everyones cup of tea and fully understand those that choose to sit it out until things get back to normal. 
I will continue to put the daily threads up and try and pinpoint what action is talking place. Just be aware of the off times, some US and AUS Racing will be very early in the morning.

I'm sure most of us are already going stir crazy after a few days stuck indoors.
I know I am .... ?
I'm on the laptop about 14 hours a day desperately looking for something to fill the time !
I didn't really intend to bother with the overseas racing but after a few days I found myself having a casual glance and the Hong Kong meetings look OK for UK & Ire punters .... lots of handicaps and not many tracks. Might have a crack at that while they're still racing. 
Main thing though ....... everybody look after yourselves ....... let's hope we all get throught it and things return to normal in a few months

Naps Comp for April
Most of us are going through a difficult time at the moment and whilst taking part and visiting the forum is not on the top of the list of priorities for people, here at Punters Lounge we realise how much a bit of normality can help. We have members from all over the world and our thoughts are with everyone.
Racing like many other industries are struggling but we have taken the decision to carry on with the Daily Naps Competition and as a reward to our loyal members Paul is increasing the Prize Money on offer for the month of April.
The new proposals we spoke about will be coming in although we are going to leave out the KO Cup competition until May as it may be difficult for 30 players trying to pick 3 selections each on the 4th of April when we may have limited action.
The qualifying places in March will remain in place for the next KO Cup Competition. 
We will accept bets from any racing from around the world during April and all bets outside of Europe will be settled at the Industry SP which appears in the ATR or Sporting Life results section.

Race times will be based on the UK 24 hour clock, anything after midnight will count towards the following day regardless of when the meeting started.
Hopefully in four weeks time we will have some better news, in the meantime we wish you all the best.

Yes it could go at anytime, but the good thing is that the Irish Government have asked Horse Racing Ireland to keep it going for as long as possible.
There is a strict list of protocol that seems to be working. One negative is that the government are not happy with Social Distancing at the moment, mainly with teenagers which could go against everybody.  Everything in Ireland is being looked at again on the 30th March, so fingers crossed.

Looks like there will be racing everyday up to Sunday 29th in Ireland.

Horse Racing Ireland have confirmed that racing will continue till further notice. No evening meetings Dundalk will move to afternoon and wherever there was two meetings they will move one to another day to free up ambulances.

@MCLARKE had a quick check and yes it is the ex accountant coming out in you. The loss is actually worse than that  -179.85.
I had moved the answer to the sum in Excel but never updated the cell location, thanks and deepest apologies.
From the 22nd Nov. to the 11th Jan. I had a profit of 20.17
From the 12th Jan. to the 13th March I had a grand loss of 200.02
Giving me a total loss of -179.85
Happy with this before I change tables above.
 
 

I should point out that 2020 figure is only for the first quarter of 2020 only and doesn't contain all of the 2019/2020 NH season. I'm not sure if HRB can show the results effectively across seasons (only years).

I'll have a further dabble with it.

Results across the years seem fairly consistent though and the two blips you stated in your post for seasons 2012/2013 and 2018/2019 could well be reflected in the lower strike rates for those years (2012 and 2018) in the results from HRB.

I've always enjoyed this thread as it shows that value (therefore a profit) can be found at the shorter odds.
