Be careful here, Schalke lost key midfielders Max Meyer and Leon Goretzka in the summer and have started badly in the Bundesliga this season with 3 defeats from 3 games. I don't think you should back a team just because it's in a superior league either, Porto are no muggs and if anything have underachieved in UCL in recent seasons.
On the flipside, one of Porto's main weapons are crosses in the box, balls over the top and set-pieces. Naldo and Salif Sane (Schalke's centre-backs) are pretty good at dealing with this sort of thing as they are physically strong and very good in the air. If Schalke then also play a low block it can help negate the pace of Marega and Aboubakar (Porto's strikers).
I think odds are fairly well set in this game, Porto +0.50 line is currently 1.52; I would want 1.70 before getting involved or Schalke's main CB's would have to be unavailable to take away team on +0.25 line at current prices.
At the moment it's a no bet for me.

Mindfulness got a reaction from Uriel18 in which bookies will take a bet?
I've never used an agent myself so I can't really comment.
I always advise people to keep the amount of money they have sitting idle in a bookmaker account or exchange account to a minimum - especially if your funds are not protected in the event of said company becoming insolvent. I know it's tedious but always read the t's & c's when it comes to player fund protection - it varies between vendors.
Keep as much of your gambling bankroll in the bank as possible at any one time. It's safer for you and it helps to protect the world financial system as an added bonus. The age of the individual along with the freedom of the individual will only survive if we act responsibly as an individual.
The caveat to all this is that often bookmakers are charged when a player deposits, withdraws or both. It's one of many factors that can make a bookie limit or ban you quicker if you're a winning punter and make lots of transactions. The way to negate this is have lots of accounts with different bookmakers and exchanges and make smaller deposits with each.
If you're a high roller then exchanges are the sustainable way to go, again I can't comment on agents because I haven't used them up to this point.

    Alright then..

    Crvena zvezda - Napoli

So Red Star Belgrade,Rotern Stern or Stella Rossa di Belgrado is back where it`s belong - in top European competition.
It's little strange that journey took so long, but there you go. Better late than ever i guess.

In the first match of the group stage we will face Napoli, runners-up of the two consecutive seasons in Serie A.  A very strong team that you know quite a lot about so I will not waste my time writing too much about them.

Match will be played in amazing atmosphere.
Tickets are sold out for all three home matches so the Rajko Mitic Stadium will be packed with fans. The match will be attended by members of the Zvezda`s golden generation who won the Champions Cup in 1991 such as Dejan Savicevic,Robert Prosinecki, Sinisa Mihajlovic, Vladimir Jugovic,Darko Pancev etc. So it`s going to be quite a spectacle.

The team is looking good, still without a defeat in season. In play-off round of qualifications we knocked-out Salzburg with 2-2 aggregate result on aways goals with both of my picks (Crvena zvezda AH2 +1  and CZ to qualify) winners.
It is very important to mention that we finally have all players available. Lorenzo Ebicillio is back from injury,so is Jonathan Cafu who we signed from Bordeaux.

On the last day of transfer window we lost Nemanja Radonjic who went  to Olimpique Marseille, but we bought three very good players - Causic, Boakye and Marin (former German internarional and former Chelsea player). All three of them are expected to start tomorrow. In particular, the return of Boakye is a significant reinforcement because Zvezda has stuggled a bit upfront.

I saw Napoli in couple of occasions in this season. Even though they didn't change their squad at all i feel that they are in some kind of transition under new coach, legendary Carlo Ancelotti, trying to adopt to his ideas and football philosophy.
Their backline look a little bit shaky and in this i see some chance for us to keep a tie tight and maybe even avoid a defeat, altough Napoli is stronger side with more quality.

Initially i was going for AH1 (+2/+1,5) because i think this will be much closer than odds suggest, but odds has dropped significantly so i`ll try with more risky pick.
Crvena zvezda to score over 0,5 team goals @1,85

With Boakye,Marin,Ben&co. i think we have enough firepower to score at least one goal.
    GL!

    Young Boys V Manchester Utd
    Manchester Utd @ 1.75 Betfair
I'm going to back Utd once again as I feel reports of their demise are overblown. Mourinho's men gained a morale boosting victory at Watford on Saturday and should be further boosted by the return of LB Shaw and ST Rashford for this game.
We know that Swiss teams are generally hard to beat and I feel Young Boys will prove to be gritty opponents. Despite this, Utd have an overwhelming firepower advantage and a team full of match winners.
Young Boys game in the Swiss Cup on Saturday night went to extra time and this wont of helped their legs for the Utd game. Young Boys also have a number of injury concerns for Utd game including key centre-back Gregory Wuthrich, if he doesn't make the game it will be a big miss for them.
Managed to get Utd -0.50 @ 1.78 last night but 1.75 is still good value in my view. I give them around 60-66% chance of winning this encounter so odds should really be in the 1.67 - 1.52 region.

I saw lineup of Tottenham and I can say that today the will just defend,Pochettino is separated defense and attack,in other case Liverpool will be high stand up and with ball in their half will control the game, when Liverpool score first goal Tottenham will attack them and game will be over.

    Treble
Internazionale, Sampdoria +0.50 AH, Roma @ 2.03 Unibet
Parma have shown themselves to be competitive in the opening rounds but I am somewhat concerned by their back 4. Inter have greater mobility up front this season and although this game will be tough, the nerazzurri should see this as an opportunity to get another win in the league. CF Icardi should also return for the home side which would be a boost.
Like Parma, Frosinone have aquitted themselves fairly well in the opening rounds. They play a 5-3-2 and are hard to break down. Clearly Sampdoria have the quality advantage but we must bear in mind their appauling away record last season. I don't think Frosinone have enough firepower to win this encounter but Samp could bungle the win if the home side makes things difficult. Personally I prefer putting Sampdoria +0.50 line in an acca rather than backing them on the -0.25 line in a single. Some punters may opt for the latter and I wont argue against it, just not really in love with it either.
In response to @Xcout's question on the previous thread: I think Chievo V Empoli result was just about fair. Empoli played the better football but struggled to convert while Chievo created 1 or 2 dangerous situations but that was about it. This week Chievo face Empoli ++ in the form of Roma. I expect Di Francesco's side to be much more dangerous infront of goal and really the home side will be looking to take 3pts in this situation.

A profit on Tuesday, but if only Grantham could have held on to their 2 goal advantage against North Ferriby then it would have been a solid evening's work. To be fair North Ferriby sounded like they deserved a point and it seems I have backed against them in the two games they have played well this season! Anyway onto Saturday and I have 5 bets for the day's action.
    Hartlepool v Eastleigh (National League)
Hartlepool have won 5 of their last 6 games and of course I managed to put them up in the one game they failed to win in that spell. Even so they have lost just once so far this season and although it could be argued they have had a fairly kind fixture list on the whole, they are looking a better side than last season. I think there is just enough value in backing them here as 1 goal could well be enough. Eastleigh have only scored 7 goals all season and have now gone 4 games without scoring. They are in 19th place and you have to wonder if we may see yet another managerial change at the club should things continue on that front. There was more promise from them on Saturday when drawing 0-0 with Fylde, but again they missed some good chances and could only get 2 shots on target. I wouldn't want to go chasing the price down too much, but they should be odds on so a shade of odds against at 101/100 with Marathon is worth taking as my only bet in the division on Saturday.
Eastbourne v Slough (National League South)
I was told about the price on Eastbourne earlier in the week and my first response was that it sounds like they have the prices the wrong way round, because Slough should be 9/4 not Eastbourne. Obviously Eastbourne should have been winners for us last week, but hopefully they can make amends here and get us our money back with interest. What I am about to write is fairly similar to last week. Eastbourne are 4th having lost just once all season (to leaders Woking) and are clearly looking a very different side from the one that nearly went down last season. They are 6 places above Slough and 2 points clear of them, yet somehow Bet365 are 9/4 about them beating them at home. I mean how is that possible? Slough are certainly no mugs and have had a solid start to life at this level, but I would love to know how the bookmakers can make them favourites let alone as strong favourites as they are. They have won their last two and beat Oxford City easily last week, but this should be a much harder game. Even as I look at the prices now I am still thinking that the bookies think Slough are at home and Eastbourne are away and even then I would still make Eastbourne a value bet. It is a crazy price and like I say hopefully Eastbourne can get the 3 points this week.
St Albans v Concord Rangers (National League South)
I nearly put Concord up as a bet again last week as I thought they could bounce back from their two surprisingly heavy defeats and although they didn't win they did get a deserved point against league leaders Woking. Given St Albans have conceded 17 and scored 19 we could be on for a bit of a goalfest here. St Albans have won their last 2 games, but needed a dramatic 3 goals in the last 2 minutes to beat an East Thurrock side who had only scored 3 goals prior to the match. I know Concord haven't won in 4, but two good draws have been either side of the heavy losses and I think they are a better side than St Albans. 63/20 looks a huge price to me about an away win and Concord owe us one that's for sure.
Truro v Hampton & Richmond (National League South)
This is a risky bet, but I think there is value in backing the home side. Hampton have won 5 of their last 6 games and that is a run of form that has seen them climb to 3rd in the table. It has surprised me, but it is hard to knock them at the moment given their performances. I do though think we can take them on on Saturday. I thought it might take time for the new management team to sort Truro out, but they had an instant impact last week when they ran out comfortable winners against Gloucester. They put in a decent performance and it seems the players want to play for the new manager. Like I say it is taking a chance, but at 100/30 I think there is certainly value to be had.
Bradford Park Avenue v Altrincham (National League North)
Bradford have carried on from last season when they reached the play-offs as they currently sit in 3rd place at the moment. They have lost just twice all season and although they will be disappointed to have lost 5-3 to Chester last time out I think they can bounce back from that here. Altrincham have only won twice all season and they have lost 4 of their last 6 with their only win in that spell coming against a struggling Darlington side. They have quite a few injury issues as well which isn't helping and they were well beaten last Saturday by Curzon. I would make Bradford shorter than 6/4 (Marathon) to get back to winning ways.
    Hartlepool 1pt @ 101/100 with Marathon
    Eastbourne 2.5pts @ 9/4 with Bet365
    Concord 2pts @ 63/20 with Marathon
    Truro 1pt @ 100/30 with Marathon
Bradford Park Avenue 2pts @ 6/4 with Marathon

Yeah just seen this myself.  Lloris was missing for the Watford game and while Vorm wasn't at fault for the goals, my impression was the defence was unsettled throughout the match, some of which i'm attributing to Vorm being in goal.  On paper Vorm is a pretty good backup keeper, but I would definitely be more wary of backing Spurs with him in goal.
Alli in his current form I don't think is such a big miss.  Spurs are strong with creative midfielders to feed Kane or score themselves (Moura/Eriksen/Son etc).  Son would be the natural replacement for Alli but I don't know how fit he is having been in Asia on international duty for the past month.
I was just reading how a lot of Liverpool's players have travelled a long way over the internationals (twice as far as spurs players have) so there has to be some fatigue there which may help counteract spurs injury problems.
I still think spurs are capable of at least a draw.  However, I think this is a match where any result wouldn't surprise me so it's not a confident shout.  If I was going to put up anything for this game, it would be under 2.5 goals as I see this being quite a dull, cagey game despite Kane, Salah etc being on the pitch.

    Watford V Manchester Utd
    Manchester Utd -0.25 AH @ 1.7 Betvictor
We've had reams of anti-utd sentiment from the media over the last couple of months and it's getting boring now. Watford have done well up to this point with good physicality and conditioning, their midfield is particularly brutal and pressurise the opposition effectively. In this case however, I don't think Watford's main strength is gonna phase the opposition all that much; Fred, Pogba and Matic are no shrinking violets on the ball and should be able to handle the venom of Capoue and Doucoure. I also think this is the first game that Watford's feeble backline will come under real scrutiny.
Luke Shaw is a doubt for this game but if he doesn't make the cut then Ashley Young can step up to the plate against his old club. Let's not forget he bagged a brace in Utd's 2-4 victory here last season. Rashford is suspended but it opens the door for Martial, Lingard and Sanchez to impress. I just think Utd have too much firepower for Watford to handle here.
To have the away side available on the -0.25 line seems generous to me, we get some draw cover which is the prudent selection in my view. Would not argue with taking Utd outright at close to EVS but punters will be calling for prawns to be confiscated and wages slashed if this one ends in stalemate.
PS - Hardly a bold prediction but Watford are not the new Leicester and wont win the EPL title as some recent sports articles have suggested. Watford rely on physicality and aggression which has proven problematic over the past 2 seasons with a massive injury list accruing by the time we reach Christmas. Watford's main tactical strength proves unsustainable over time, say 3 or 4 months.

Saturday wasn't great with only 2 winners although if Eastbourne could have held on it would have been a more manageable lost. The only full league fixture list this week is the Evo-Stik Northern Premier and a couple of teams look betting propositions.
    Hyde v Warrington
Warrington did really well last season making the play-offs. They had a few squad changes over the summer and I wasn't sure they could reach the heights of last season, but since losing their opening game of the season they have been unbeaten since. They had an easy 4-0 FA Cup win over Burscough on Saturday and they look like they can pick up another victory here. Hyde won promotion last season, but have been struggling a little to adjust back to life at this level. They have only picked up one win against Basford so far and had a poor loss to Colne in the FA Cup on Saturday.I think the 13/8 with BetVictor and Skybet looks a fair price on an away win.
    North Ferriby v Grantham
I still have no idea how North Ferriby beat South Shields 3-0 on Bank Holiday Monday. Since then they have lost 5-0 to Warrington, 3-1 to Scarborough and were dumped out of the FA Cup on Saturday when Dunston (2 levels below) beat them 4-1. That South Shields win really does stick out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of their results and Grantham look a decent price to beat them on Tuesday night. Grantham are having another decent season and have suffered just one defeat so far. They edged past Daventry in the FA Cup on Saturday and they are certainly a better team than their hosts. Let's just hope they can show it on the pitch unlike South Shield. BetVictor's 8/5 looks a good price.
    Warrington 1pt @ 13/8 with BetVictor/Skybet
    Grantham 1pt @ 8/5 with BetVictor

Tuesday wasn't great with only Sutton winning and it was a losing night. The FA Cup means there are no Step 3 matches this weekend so the focus is on the National League's and I have 8 bets in the 3 divisions. It's a little more than I usually like, but there does seem some good bets and hopefully a profit to be had.
Barrow v Dagenham & Redbridge (National League)
I got Barrow wrong on Tuesday night and by all accounts they played well in the 2nd half and deserved to pick up at least a point. They have been performing well at home so far this season and Tim Flowers the Solihull manager admitted that Barrow were better than Solihull despite the fact they had beaten the home side 2-1. Dagenham may well have won their first game of the season on Tuesday night, but that did come against the worst side in the division in Braintree and this game is a much stiffer test for them. I think a shade of odds against (53/50) with Marathon is value about the home side and I would still be happy with the even money available with a few bookies as well.
Eastleigh v AFC Fylde (National League)
Eastleigh only managed 4 subs on Tuesday night against Maidenhead and one of those was the sub keeper such is their injury crisis at the moment. That is worrying at this stage of the season and they have managed just one win at home losing their other 4. Fylde were beaten by Salford on Tuesday night, their first loss of the season, and by all accounts Salford were really good. Fylde have drawn 3 of their 4 away games and that is a slight concern, but after a good performance at Ebbsfleet last week you would expect them to be more than up to winning this. Marathon's 38/25 is too big in my view and they should be nearer even money.
Harrogate v Havant & Waterlooville (National League)
I can't believe BT Sport chose to broadcast Havant v Aldershot on Wednesday night. Given there was no other football on they had a great chance to showcase the league and draw people in. Instead floating viewers were served up with a really poor game of football between two sides struggling for wins. Havant won 2-1, but they didn't deserve to win although Aldershot struggled to defend two set pieces and that was their downfall. Aldershot were the better side, but they were clearly lacking confidence in the final 3rd. Havant now travel to a Harrogate side who are top of the table after beating Gateshead on Tuesday night. They remain unbeaten as well and it is hard to see how Havant can beat them given what I saw on Wednesday night and the general form of the two sides. Evens is available with Skybet, Marathon and Betfred and I think it should really be nearer the 4/6 mark.
Ebbsfleet v Gateshead (National League live on BT Sport at 5.15pm)
Strangely Ebbsfleet's away form has been much better than their home form so far this term having won once and lost 3. They haven't had the easiest matches though and they have performed well in the games they have lost. It could be claimed that this is a tough game as Gateshead have started better than people were predicting before the season started, but after winning their first 3 games they have only one once in the following 6. That came last Saturday when beating mangerless Maidstone. They did push Harrogate close on Tuesday night with Harrogate scoring the winner late on, but they have been better at home and given I think Ebbsfleet's performances have been better than their points tally at home suggest, I think they can win the live game on Saturday. Marathon are 51/50 and I would have it around the 4/5 mark myself.
Dartford v Eastbourne (National League South)
I did not expect Eastbourne to be doing so well so far this season and it is a surprise for me to see them sitting in 3rd place in the table. Fair play to them though as the only game they have lost so far is against top of the table Woking so they deserve to be there on merit at this early stage. Key for them is the fact they have the 2nd best defence in the league having conceded just 6 times so far and 2 of those came in the 2-1 defeat to Woking. This probably won't be a game of many goals as they have only scored 9 times and Dartford have scored just 5 and conceded 9. The 7/2 on offer though with Bet365 and Marathon is huge on an away win. Dartford look a shadow of the side who nearly won the title last season and currently sit in 16th place 5 points behind their opponents on Saturday. I put Wealdstone up at a big price to beat them on their own patch a couple of weeks ago and they lost 3-0 that afternoon. Granted that is their only defeat at home so far, but how on earth can a team in 3rd after 8 games having lost just once be 7/2 against a team who are 5 points worst off and have only won 3 out of 8 games having lost 4 of them?
Gloucester City v Truro (National League South)
Speaking of mean defences and teams who don't score many in Gloucester we have another one I am going to back. They have scored just 6 and conceded 8, but that doesn't tell the full story as they have only conceded once in their last 4 games. I was at the game against Dulwich a couple of weeks ago and I was really impressed with the way City defended and on loan keeper Matt Yates looks a keeper destined for better things and he is arguably the best keeper in the league at the moment. At the other end scoring goals has been an issue and three of their 4 wins have been 1-0 so far. They did score 2 against Hungerford last week, but since that game City have re-signed Harry Williams who scored 10 goals in 16 appearances for the club spread over the last 3 seasons. He should add plenty to the forward line and with a mean defence they will be hard to beat. Truro have got a new manager from Taunton and he obviously did a great job to get them promoted last season, but he will surely need longer than a few days to sort a team out who have yet to win so far this season. Marathon's 123/100 looks a huge price about a home win in my opinion.
Torquay v Chippenham (National League South)
Torquay's 8 matches so far this season have seen just 8 goals! They have conceded 3 and scored 5 and their performances so far have been pretty average. As I wrote last week when opposing Chippenham they look capable on their day of beating anyone in the league and then they duly went and beat Concord 4-1. They have a form sequence of LWLWLWLW so on that they should lose on Saturday, but sequence will end at some point and they could be just the sort of side to take a big price about in matches this season as like I say on their day they can beat anyone in the league. They arguably have a better side than Torquay and I just don't see how they can be as big as 14/5 with Marathon and Bet365.
Darlington v AFC Telford (National League North)
Just the one bet in this league on Saturday, but I am really keen on Telford. Darlington have not had a good start to the season having won just once and losing 4 times. They have quite a few injuries at the moment although to be fair to them they did keep Alfreton down to just the 1 goal last week. Telford have surprised me so far this season in the same way Eastbourne have and they have yet to be beaten. They sit in 2nd place in the table and are 12 points in front of their hosts on Saturday. Telford should be favourites for this so to be getting 177/100 about an away win looks cracking value to me.
