Ffos Las 6.10 - Zebspear - win at 13/8 bog PP
5f nursery
lots of non runners here have left a field of 3 and surprisingly the Hannon runner is the outsider
I'm skipping over him and going for the current 2nd favourite who ran pretty well at Lingfield (turf) last time in a fast run race and makes his handicap debut today
the favourite has already run in 2 nurseries off a mark of 58 and was narrowly beaten then narrowly won, suggesting that the mark of 58 is about right.......now gone up 5lbs. She's a front runner and I think my selection should be able to track her and pounce late on

Ponty 2.50 - Chant - win at 5/1 bog coral

My selection is having his 2nd run of the season having run much better on debut than is finishing position.......he was up at the front until fading in the last furlong and hopefully should come on for the outing
Drops in class and down a couple of pounds since that last run. Appears to handle stiff tracks as he's won twice at Carlisle
PJ McDonald takes over from the claimer who reportedly didn't give him the best of rides last time
Saint Thomas is a veteran now but in good form and conditions are fine
Love Marmalade - appears to be on the downgrade but his mark is falling. Hasn't won for a long time and the suspicion is that he's always going to find something t beat him unless his mark falls a lot in one go
I like the look of Bogardus because he really should be made for this stiff 12F but hasn't proved yet that he gets the trip. .........back on his last winning mark.
Worried about the 3yo getting the WFA allowance........3 runs in maidens and into a handicap. Yard won this last year with a 3yo but he was a lot more experienced and this one doesn't appear to be that well handicapped to make up for the lack of race experience

2yo novice race
trying to sneak an EW steal here with a 6/1 ON favourite and only 6 runners, so 2 places but quarter odds.........I really fancy mine to finish 2nd and you never know the odds on favourite might do something stupid
The favourite, Queen Kindly, is a daughter of Frankel who won over CD on debut then finished 3rd at Royal Ascot. Even with a 7lb penalty her form looks way ahead of the others
But I do think the 2nd favourite, Angel Meadow, is vulnerable, She has a 7lb penalty for winning at 66/1 on debut......in itself that suggests it wasn't a very good race but that's been confirmed by all the ones that have run since and been well beaten
My selection has no penalty so gets the 7lb from the above. Her debut run was 3rd at Beverley.......the 2nd has come out and won easily since (carrying my cash !)......and the trainer's 2yo tend to improve for their first runs

true BH......but at least they're English trainers so you know something about their normal methods and quality of horses they have and you'll normally have a sales price and info about their relatives that have run here
Must say that I'm not at all keen on Ascot bribing these foreign owners to run their horses at the meeting.......bah humbug !

2yo novice race over 5F
The only winner in the field is Merry Banter who is currently favourite but it was a poor race that she won on her 4th attempt and I fancy taking her on
My selection finished 3rd here over 6f last time. I don't think he'll be inconvenienced by coming back in trip and is quite likely to grab the rail and make all. Staying a bit further could help him up the hill at the finish
He's behind a horse in the market, Bourbonisto, who finished 6L behind him in that last run but was thought unlucky as his rider was slow to take off the hood at the start and he lost a few lengths. I rate him the main danger but he might be the one that needs 6F and and slowness away for whatever reason could cost him today
