  1. Re: Flat Racing 23rd March Sat Sou 4.50 - Putin - win at 6/1 bog 6/1 bog wm hill Very poor race but even so it's still better than the races Putin wins and he'll need a career best in handicap terms to win this off 53, though he does have a useful claimer taking 5 off Process of elimation really - he's a CD winner and has been in OK form recently. He appears to run every few days and there's not a lot of pattern to his decent runs and his clunkers. Presumably that's why he's the outsider of the field But steps back up to a mile today after a winter sprinting and he might just get an easy lead if that's how they choose to ride him. With only one other course winner in the field, and only one horse (the fave) in any sort of form, it might be worth taking a chance on old Putin 'sticking his chest out' like his namesake............:unsure

  3. Re: Historical data Don't think there can be anywhere as this question pops up every few months and no one ever has an answer...........if there was somewhere that you could access past cards we'd all know about it because it would have been mentionned loads of times I did once start to download and save the All Weather cards from one of the sites (I think it was the Free Timeform site) thinking that I'd build up my own library but I rarely looked at them so I gave up

  4. Re: Black Caviar going for number 24, Friday 22nd, 10:45 am Live on ATR. Must admit that I love all the razzamatazz and obviously seeing such a great mare is a privilege............ But..........for the first time really today i wondered if it was much of a big deal, I mean she appears to keep beating the same (or similar level) half dozen horses by 4 or 5 lengths. It's not much of a racing spectacle There's talk of her coming over again for Ascot...............that would be worth watching !

  5. Re: BBOTD - Friday 22nd of March 4.00 Sedge - Walkabout Creek - win at 9/4 bog wm hill Handicap debut He won a novice race over this CD and doesn't look badly handicapped on that run, runnng off 121 having beaten horses rated 118 and 116 by 20 lengths plus. Acts on soft - remains to be seen if he can handle heavy Should have a good chance if he handles the going.

  6. Re: BBOTD 21st March Chep 3.15 - Rocknrollrambo - win at 4/1 bog bet365 Decent irish pointer who's ran over shorter trips to get a mark, though running like a throrough stayer Makes his handicap debut and steps to 3 miles Acts on heavy and won his maiden on an undulating track so hopefully will cope with the ups and downs of Chepstow

  7. Re: BBOTD Sunday 17th March 2013 Carl 3.00 - Kealigolane - win at 5/2 bog wm hill Three non runners here have changed the shape of the race and could play into the hands of Kealigolane, who won over this CD a couple of runs ago on heavy by making all, jumping wel and staying on well enough up the hill to repel a late run from the favourite that day More of the same today ! Todays favourite (at the moment) is Grey Gold who drops in class but looking at his record I'm not sure the stiff finish will suit him as he's done his best runs on sharp or flat tracks

  8. Re: BBOTD Thursday 14th Chelt 3.20 - Reve de Sivola - win at 6/1 bog PP Only CD winner in the field and won the grade one Long Walk and the main trial for today, the Cleeve hurdle this season In the absence of Big Bucks he looks to be the top staying hurdler around Not sure Oscar Whisky will stay so I'm happy to take him on

  9. Re: BBOTD Wednesday 13th March Chelt 2.40 - Boston Bob - win at 11/2 bog bet365 Has been replaced as fave by Unioniste but I'm not convinced by that one...........he's stepping up in class from handicaps and class 2/3 novice chases Boston Bob was fave for the Albert bartlett last year and finished 2nd, He's won both runs this year, arguably over shorter trips than his ideal and won at grade One level last time out Back up in trip today, he is the class horse here.................

  10. Re: BB0TD Tuesday 12th March 2013 - It's Time. Chelt 3.20 - Zarkandar - win at 7/2 bog bet365 Triumph Hurdle winner 2 years ago, has had his year against the 'grown ups' which most young jumps horses seem to need before stepping up to the next level And had has dult stepped up this season winning 3 grade 2 races beating several of todays rivals Looks the best of the younger brigade................

  11. Re: BBOTD > Monday 11th March 3.40 Plump - Petit Ecuyer - win at 3/1 bog betvictor Only 5 runners here and I'm taking on the current 2 market leaders with the third most fancied My horse has won twice at this track and ran well when returned here a couple of runs ago Slight worry is that he only ran last friday at Sandown and you've got to take it on trust that he's recovered from thatg, but this wasn't a bad run, travelled nicley until clouting one two out

  12. Re: The horsemeat scandal I've also really gone off 'processed meat' and cheap ready meal products in the last few months. I've started buying more expensive things that are recognisable, eg a pork chop or a fish My view is a romantic one...............I think mankind has marched from savagery to civilisation with the horse and the dog at his side as faithful workers and companions.............in return for their contribution I think we have a moral obligation not to eat them That's it.

  13. Re: BBOTD > Sunday 10th March Naas 2.40 - You Must Know Me - win at 4/1 bog bet365 Made an impressive start to his chasing career with a half length second to Boston Bob in a Beginners Race. Went off odds on favourite at Punchestown next time but was well beaten and reported lame He's had about 10 weeks to recover so hopefully will be fighting fit He's a front runner with plenty of stamina and this is a test today over 20 furlongs on soft ground so I'd like to see him making all at a decent clip. I think the favourite, Twinlight, might be susceptible on stamina, having apparently failed to get home over 17F on heavy last time. The second favourite, Dedigout, has been a bit disappointing the last twice, jumping poorly. I reckon if my chap had not gone lame and had won that Punchestown race he'd be odds on favourite today so 4/1 looks pretty good value

  14. Re: BBOTD SATURDAY 9TH march Sand 1.30 - Captain Cardington - win at 5/1 bog bet365 Lots of non runners have changed the shape of this race and at the moment there's only 7 runners My selection has won over this CD on heavy ground and makes his handicap debut today Difficult to say with these lightly raced juveniles as to which, if any, are well handicapped, so I'm going mainly on suitability of track, trip and going

  15.
