  1. Re: Problem on Post Site ?

Just seen this thread' date=' I have same problem too.[/quote'] Something else has now happened I have the Post site bookmarked and on my favourites bar............clicking on them the site opens But if I put Racing Post into google and get the usual links listed...........they don't work. I click on them and nothing happens That's just for the main site...........the links to the Betting Site and Bloodstock site work Since I posted last I've downloaded the most recent Java and I've also downloaded Google Chrome...........nothing works
  2. Re: Problem on Post Site ? Three weeks on and I still haven't got this sorted out..............my e-mails with the RP basically just produced a 'we don't recognise this as a problem' I'm just not getting any odds showing on the Racecards, on the Compare Odds or Latest Odds tabs For some reason they're not loading and I'm not techy savvy enough to know why............. Tried firefox - doesn't work in there either To be honest I know I can have oddschecker or the ATR site open............but it's driving me potty and putting me off studying the races.............. I've posted other threads on here to the effect that I don't see the full racecards on the Life site............that's still the case now even though I'm on a different laptop. I'm still not seeing the Odds on the Sporting Life racecards either. There's something about these racing sites that my computer is not able to load.............and I'm pee'd off about it...................:wall

  3. Re: Significant upgrading of races, over the next several months. Yeah, I do worry when they keep upgrading races to Grade 1 Although, to be fair, it doesn't matter as much over the jumps On the flat it really dilutes the races because having a Group One win is tremendously important for breeding. Hence we appear to have group one mile races in Europe every week from mid-season onwards and no half decent horses ever to need to run against each other - they can all take it in turns to win a group one.............

  4. Re: BBOTD tuesday 23rd july 7.45 bangor - French Ties - win at 12/1 bog botlesports Take a chance with one of the outsiders here - CD winner, has won off this mark and has won off a break before The front two in the market look a bit short with AP's mount looking an iffy jumper and Peachey moment not in much form having been PU or beaten double figure lengths on it's last 8 outings

  5. Re: BBOTD monday 22 july Ayr 2.00 - Longton - win at 6/4bog bet365 Going to take on the odds-on fave, Star Over the Sea - he's by Sea The Stars and out of Johnston's yard. They're going well and he's probably going to win races but he did spoil his chance last time with rearing in the stall as the gates opened and you'd want to see him racing on an even keel before backing him My selection is Longton - arguably he's got better form already than Johnston's horse (higher RPR) and has only run the once so is open to improvement. The RP noted that he looked in need of the run on debut. He's more speedily bred and might have too much toe if it turns into a small field crawl and sprint type race

  6. Re: BBOTD - Sunday 21st July Redc 4.40 - Malekat Jamal - win at 13/8 bog betvictor Drops in class today and back up to her last winning trip after dropping down to 7F last time Should be suited by todays trip and the ground has been in good form lately with a win at Windsor and that good run in a better race at Goodwood Should have the race to suit with a front runner, Visit Copenhagen, to take them along............and if they're not going fast enough you can't have a better front running jockey that Joe Fanning. I reckon he can sit in behind and take it up if the FR is dawdling

  7. Re: BBOTD > Saturday 20th of July Ripon 2.35 - Complicit - win at 9/4 bog wm hill I've been looking at 2yo races for a couple of weeks but I'm finding it hard to actually pick anything............I think I'll drop the 2yos !.............:unsure However I've got an angle on this maiden race at Ripon with Paul Cole's Complicit His only run to date has been in the Prix Yacowlef at Deauville - that's europe's only pattern race for unraced horses and is invariably contested by future group race performers Beaten just over 2 lengths in 5th and eased when beaten - today should be a lot easier company !

  8. Re: BBOTD - Friday 19th July Ponty 7.00 - Special meaning - win at 11/10 bog PP Typical Johnson improving 3yo stayer, has won 3 of last 4 Usual stable tactics - get out in front and make all. Small field should help repeat the trick She's won on tracks with uphill finishes so I'm not worried about the hill

  9. Re: BBOTD - Wednesday 17th July Sand 8.15 - Mount Tiger - win at 10/3 bog Stan james Quite a few lightly raced 3yo in this 10F handicap Several of them look promising but I'm going with one who was an impressive winner of an all weather maiden last time...........cruised along and readily strode clear to win by 3 lengths. The horses in 3rd and 4th were rated around 70 and he beat them by 6 and 12 lengths so a mark of 79 should be fine That was his first run for 7 months and he should come on a bit No easy race though with similar progressive types in opposition

  10. Re: BBOTD SATURDAY 13TH JULY Sals 8.05 - Sunny Future - win at 9/4 bog bet365 CD winner who usually goes well here and dropped back in trip and down in class since his last run..........back to the class/trip he won in 2 runs ago There's a couple of lightly raced 3yo up against him but none from the Johnson yard !............you have to worry about 3yo getting the weight allowance in staying races but they're both maidens and I'll stick with the provan older horse The clincher for me is Hughsey getting the ride..............my selecton can be a bit of a monkey as he likes to hang around at the back of the field and with only 4 runners you'd hope he'd be nearer the front if it turns into a craw and sprint.............hopefully Hughes will give him a god ride

  11. Re: BBOTD > Thursday 11th of July Epsom 8.25 - Hawiian Deam - ew at 12/1 bog bet365 Only 5 runners so need a first or second A couple of these lok like no hopers and there are doubts about the two market - one a maiden coming back in trip and one a tricky ride My horse has done OK in AW mdns and finished behind some decent types Had a nice break -

  12. Re: BBOTD - Wednesday 10th July Kemp 7.50 - Fosters road - win at 7/1 bog betvictor Has steadily been getting closer to the front for 5 successive races and was beaten under a length last time out. Usually runs in better races than this and both his wins this year have been in a higher grade Has won at the track, has won over this trip and is just a couple of pounds higher than his last winning mark I like Joe the Coat EW as well

  13. Re: BBOTD - Saturday 6th July Sand 3.50 - Declaration of war - win at 4/1 bet365 Al Kazeem has been in sparkling form this season but he did have a year off with pelvic injury so you have to wonder how many times he can run on firm ground before he starts to feel it........... Declaration of War looks a decent 2nd favourite - won the Queen Anne after disappointing in the Lockinge. Very highly regarded by the O'Brien camp. Should be suited by stepping up to 10 furlongs Should be a god pace on with Mukhadram front running..........hopefully they won't let him slow down in front and I can see the two mentioned above fighting it out from the two furlong pole The Fugue is terrific but she's only ever won against fillies Mars might be a group one horse but he's been beaten all runs this season.......fact is that he's only won an all weather maiden The ground has gone against Pastorius who might not be up to competing in top uropean company. The Ganay he won was a poor renewal

  14. Re: Problem on Post Site ? RP did reply to my e-mail but it was just the usual 'clear your cookies' stuff which didn't help I think I've sorted it.............it appears to be a compatibility problem with IE10 I added the RP site to my Compatibility View List under 'Tools'...........then you have to click on an icon up the top which looks like a ripped piece of paper As soon as I did that it started working OK again................

  15. Re: Problem on Post Site ? OK thanks guys..............I'll assume it's a problem with me then I had a problem with a site I use for work when trying to download an invoice...........apparently the site wasn't compatible with IE10 which is on my new laptop They had a note to that effect with instructions on how to get around it...........perhaps I'll try the same for the Post site

  16. Re: Problem on Post Site ? Still no latest odds showing on the RP racecards.................:unsure I know I can find them elsewhere but it just puts me off because my normal practice is to sort the horses into price order then start with the fave and work down...............
