  1. Re: BBOTD - Sunday 15/9/13 Curr 4.25 - Toormore - win at 13/8 bog bet365 Won the group 2 Vintage stakes at Goodwood and the horse he beat, Outstrip, won the G2 Champagne Stakes at Donny yesterday. he 3rd horse, Parbold was just touched off in the G2 Gimcrack at York That probably makes Toormore a pretty slid group one horse Today he's up against a horse who's already won a group one, Sudirman, who's the main market rival. I think the ground migh be turning against him as his trainer has said that he must have fast ground and it's turned to good to yielding after some rain today My horse won on good to soft Only 5 runners and O'Brien runs 2, it was 3 but one of his is a non runner...........he intended to run 3 which maybe suggests he's not sure if he has a good one ? I'm happy to go with Hannon and Hughes today

  2. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread

On Sunday' date=' top US horse, Wise Dan, competes at Woodbine alongside Trade Storm, in a race worth $1m. Does anyone share an interest in racing in North America?[/quote'] No.............too much of it I watch the Breeders Cup but that's it Too much racing to keep up with here without trying to follow other countries as well..........:loon
  3. Re: BBOTD - Saturday 14th September Ling 3.05 = Gold chain - win at Evens bog PP Couple of non runnershave made this one's task a lot easier today The remaining runners look pretty poor and the Hannon horse, currently second favourite, has been beaten an average of 19 lengths in 3 maidens to date..........being a Hannon-Hughes horse he may be being backed to much and making the Evens on my horse good value My horse finished 4 lengths behind a subsequent Listed winner on debut at Newbury then ran to a slightly lesser level on her 2nd start but finished 5th. had a bit of a break and yard now in good form By Authorised, so every chance she'll handle the soft ground and the best of her 2 runs to date was on good to soft first time out

  4. Re: Best Bet Of The Day > Friday September 13th Wolv 8.30 - Piccolo Express - ew at 12/1 bog wm hill Three times CD winner, including a win on the prevailing slow ground here at Wolves Has had a couple of runs back from a break and ran well last time finishing 2nd Has gone up 3lb and probably isn't well handicapped now as he's never won off this high a mark in a 47 race carreer and at age 7...............so he's not well handicapped ny any means But I think his liking for these conditions is probably worth a few pounds

  5. Re: BBOTD Thurs 12th Sept Wolv 7.30 - Kwanto - ew at 14/1 bog wm hill Pretty poor sprint handicap and my horse is a 12 race maiden Just noted a couple of things though...........firstly she ran her best race for a while last time out, beaten about 3L from a poor draw at southwell The track at Wolves is running slow and deep after track works..........it might suit horses who go well at Southwell Second the horse that finished behind in that racehas come out and won and is now favourite for Division 2 of tonight's race which comes up at 8 o'clock

  6. Re: BBOTD Wed 11th Sept Kemp 9.15 - Golden desert - ew at 10/1 bet365 Old timer who's gradually been running into form Although his last couple of wins have been on the AW he can now run off a lower rating on the polytrack than he's been running off on turf lately Lots of front runners in tonights race which should suit him as a hold up runner who runs on late..........hopefully they'll be coming back to him in the last furlong

  7. Re: BBotD Mon 9th September 2013

Brighton 2.30 - Elusive Gold - win at 6/1 bog wm hill Fillies handicap My horse is yet to win in handicap company but this race looks fairly poor and she's a lightly raced 3 year old who looks capable of winning a low grade handicap. Has run a couple of decent efforts at Kempton and ran OK last time at Warwick. Now Seb Saunders takes over from a 7lb claimer and the tongue-strap goes on for the first time (on the horse, not on Seb !) The current Fav, Saskia's Dream, usually runs over further and is a bit one paced Commandingpresence might get a soft lead but needs a career best in handicap terms on her 86th run, which is unlikely to happen Above The Stars looks the main danger
Non -runner.............:wall Another non runner as well has left just 5 and I'm a bit more tempted now by Commandingpresence who's task is suddenly a lot easier But I'll go with my original 'second best' which is........ Bri 2.30 - Above the stars - win at 11/4 bog PP Is well handicapped now as his last win in a handicap was off 2 lbs higher in May this year. Since then he's been running in sellers and on the all weather (has a poor record on the surface) Signs of a return to form last time with a close up 2nd in seller Has won on the track before

  9. Re: BBOTD Sun 8th sept Font 3.45 - Guards chapel - win at 4/1 bog wm hill Has been in good nick lately with a couple of decent runs on the flat sandwiching an impressive win here over a slightly shorter trip Won by 11 lengths that day and the second has come out and won twice since Gone up 11lbs in the ratings but is only 5 years old and lightly raced so might just be finding his feet as a jumper and could be an improver Josh Moore gets on well with him - 4 rides - 2 wins, a 2nd and a 3rd

  10. Re: BBOTD Sat 7th sept Hayd 5.00 - Chief barker - win at 11/8 bog bet365 Unbeaten Hannon-Hughes colt in a race that the stable have won twice in the four years it's been run - their previous winners went on to win at group 2 and group 1 level so they send a good one here The colt won his maiden and a nursery.........showing plenty of stamina and gets this mile trip really well

  11. Re: BBOTD Friday 6th sept Kemp 7.20 - Highland Acclaim - ew at 14/1 bog bet365 Mystique Rider should win this on form but he'll be a short price and the yard haven't had a winner recently and have never had a winner at Kempton. He's also drawn wide Take an EW chance on Balding's runner who's been gelded since his debut. That was a decent effort in an Ascot maiden and could well have improved through normal development as he's been off the track for nearly 4 months.

  12. Re: BBOTD Thurs 5th sept Kemp 7.40 - Grendisar - win at 4/1 bog wm hill The favourite here probably has the best chance of winning but doesn't look like an odds-on shot, which he currently is. Tajheez is a full 14lbs higher than his last winning mark and has failed to win in his last 3 handicaps, so it might just be that the handicapper has got him. He usually runs in better races and is a CD winner so has a lot going for him, but odds-on ? My selection also has a good course and AW record with wins here and at Lingfield. He's just 3 lbs higher than his last winning mark. His last run was a shocker, beaten 74 lengths, jockey reported that he was never gong and ambled home in his own time. He's had a 3 month break to get over that

  13. Re: BBOTD Wednesday 4th Bath 4.00 - Virtueux - win at 11/8 bog betvictor Won his first race for a long time last time out by achange of tactics - making the running with cheepieces applied The headgear is on again today and he should be able to dictate maters again in this small field Got a 6lb penalty but has won off higher marks in the past 2nd fav is Glenns Wobbly - he seems to fade in the final furlong no matter what trip they run him over

  14. Re: Racing Post online odds help It was me that posted the other thread I've managed to get the odds back by turning off my adblocker (I'm not at all techy but I think it was the adblocker preventing the odds from loading as it was also preventing me from loading documents as e-mail attachments. This only occurred once I went to Windows 8.........I had an adblocker on my previous Windows 7 machine with no problem) The Best Odds now show when I open a card When I go to Odds Comparison they don't show at first but do when Refreshing the page using the F5 button

  15. Re: BBOTD > Tuesday 3rd of September 5.15 Ling - Million Faces - win at 5/1 bog Boylesports Having her 2nd run of the season and was noted in the Post as looking like she needed a run on debut Lightly raced with just 5 career starts Last season she came on for her debut and won her second outing Todays race could be set up for her as there's not many runners but they all seem to want to front run except my selection............it could be fast and furious with my horse coming through at the finish

  16. Re: BBOTD Monday 2nd 4.10 Ham - Lindenhurst - win at 11/4 bog betvictor This horse appears to have got his act together this year as a 3yo Ran 7 times at 2 but never got closer than 7 lengths But stepping up in trip seems to have suited him as he's run a couple of good races in juvenile hurdles including a 13 length win at Bangor, returned to the flat last time he won very easily back in Ireland Gone up a stone for that win but he had fallen to a basement mark and should be capable of winning off todays mark in the 60s. Gets the WFA allowance in this all aged race.

  17. Re: BBOTD > SUNDAY 1st September Brighton 4.05 - Idle curiosity - win at 8/1 bog bet365 Poor sprint handicap where none of them are frequent winners My horse ran fairly well here over 6F last time, making the running until collared late on Drops back to 5F today for the first time since her racecourse debut and drawn in stall 1 I fancy they're going to try blasting away and using her stamina to maintain a gallop all the way to the line At 8/1 it's worth a chance that they'll succeed !
