All prices Bet365:
6.00 Wolverhampton - 1pt e/w El Hombre @ 8/1
Never run a bad race at this track, has run well the last twice including here two starts back. Is on a fair mark, decent draw and should get a good pace to run at over 5f here so lots to like with Venturous back up the weights and needing luck at the head of the market.
6.30 Wolverhampton - 2pts win Gabriel The One @ 4/1
The favourite is clearly thriving and should enjoy the extra yardage but hasn't beaten much in its races to date so I'll side with the consistent Gabriel The One who is 1-1 on the all-weather when bolting up off 1lb higher at Newcastle earlier in the year. Hasn't been seen to best effect around Chester on his most recent runs and down the weights and back on the all-weather looks to hold big hopes.
7.00 Wolverhampton - 1pt e/w Splash of Verve @ 10/1
More exposed than many of these but runs well here and will certainly handle conditions. For a modest type, it's never going to win when conditions aren't spot on and he's been campaigned over a mile a couple of times recently but his best form has come over 1m4f so it's a welcome return to this trip today. Should find this more up his street and is a big price at 10/1 given he's back in his comfort zone this evening.
7.30 Wolverhampton - 0.5pts e/w Epaneema @ 33/1
Bit of a punt in a weak race but this horse has been tried in all sorts of races since joining this yard - bottomless ground handicaps, hurdles and all-weather staying races but its best run came in Ireland when 2nd in a 1m4f novice race on good ground and is well down the weights since then. Hasn't shown a lot but it's plausible that soft ground doesn't suit and will chance improvement now facing something more like when showing its best form.
noticed your bets here is one i did ealier how close was/is this?

Mind you there will be a rule 4 of 15p as the second fav didn't go but still a good return and well spotted - he certainly looks one to follow on that sort of ground
my bet returned better than evens so no complaints 100 - 206.28

Does anyone else think the market at 7.25 @ Kempton is a bit uneven? Like Rock Eagle is a bit of an unknown but onto victory soghan and true destiny tie in with island brave lucky deal and cleonte?
Looked at this race last night and was intrigued because i backed now children ew at 250/1 last time out i notice its 100/1 in this, the king horse i respect because i also backed that last time out in same race as now children, i follow charlton blindly but true destiny has let me down for 1000's, Cleonte is interesting ex french at one time and a good gg 66/1 is ew material because is it 66/1 that balding has ironed it out? So my thinking is small stakes on R/Fc's and hope for a whopper.

For those who like a fav (which i very rarely do) 11:00am Chantilly tomorrow Fabre runs one called Midtown it is now 10/11 from 5/4. this animal didn't come off the bridal last time (first time out) winning by an easy 7l. I am forecasting great things next year for this Godolphin 2yo. Even suggesting it could turn up in our Guineas/Derby. Max bet for me this.
Can't believe i got 5/4 on midtown it went off and wins at 1/3. one for the notebooks horse this lads/lass's.

Quite interesting thread, Long shots v short odds nap, A separate yearly total prize is a good idea, personally i would increase the minimum selection requirement to 20 or 25 from the current 15. it would stop people from winning by not napping. the suggestion that people napping long shots "for luck" is valid in some cases but the proof is in the pudding, 10 quid on every one of my naps since i joined (4 months) would have netted you about £1000 i have been in profit for each of the last 4 months and if it wasn't for my 50/1 dead heating for 4th place on the last day of september i would have topped the table 2 out of the four months i have been on here, can anyone napping short prices say the same? @Villa Chris @The Equaliser i occasionally do nap a short one but only where i think its my only option. i detected a bit of snobbery on some of the comments, i put more work into my racing and selecting than people would have others believe. One thing everybody should know but some don't like to admit, is you cant make a profit backing favs that's for sure.
