I've never used PROFORM, seems very expensive. I would be very sceptical about some of the claims they make.

I always held the view that the higher the weight the better because it indicated a better class of horse. Strike rates back this up, for NH horses the strike rate for horses with a weight higher than 10st12 is 12.4%, for those lower or equal to 10st12 it is 8.7%.
However as always in horse racing it pays to go against the crowd, the lower weighted horses are actually more profitable, with an AE of 1.03.

I remember now why I only back in singles. My last 6 doubles have had a winner and a loser. if I had backed them as £10 singles I would have made a profit of £45 rather than a loss of £120.

Saturday has tended to be my most profitable day, although this will be influenced by more bookmakers offers being available on Saturdays.
My analysis of favourites shows that Saturday and Sunday are the most profitable days with an AE of 1.02.
Thursday is the worst day with an AE of 0.98.
