Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge

Bet 6 4.35 DONCASTER TABARET 12/1 LAD 1PT WIN Just hope the ground isn't too soft. Can win off this mark needs thing to drop right and hopefully the visor on for the first time will help. Drops back to 5f which shouldn't be a problem and money about for it today.
You're dishing some punishment out today Eddie - great stuff mate :clap:clap

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Ok here we go - double time Bet 8 Doncaster 5.45: Rosbay Last win came over C&D on soft ground from this mark so conditions today look ideal. Good jockey booking and big chance in this. Lingfield 6.30: Latin Lashes Big chance after eyecatching debut when 2nd after tardy start. Saddle slipped on that occasion so entitled to come on a great deal and think this one could upset the favourite tonight. Rosbay: 5/1 Latin Lashes: 2/1 both Laddies BOG 1pt win double

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge :cheers Charles:ok Tricky racing today small stakes for me. Bets 6-10 4.30 BATH ALPEN GLEN O.5 E/W 33/1 BET365 Dazzler booked for top weight and would have a squeak now dropped in Class and back up in trip for second run for new yard. 3.45 DUNDALK ARGANIL 10/1 1PT WIN PP Decent race this and very open take a chance on Ryan's who sends two over for this 2nd string who has won at the track. Claimer on which will help his cause. 3.45 PONTEFRACT SEA OF LEAVES O.5 E/W 14/1 VC BET Fallon goes well on Goldie's horses and he rides three at the meet for him all with decent chances. 5.15 PONTEFRACT BONUS BREESE 14/1 0.5 E/W CORAL Another open and tricky race interesting jockey booking and back on last winning mark.

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Bet 9 3.40 Pontefract: Angelzarke 1pt win @ 16/1 Coral BOG This one has yet to show the best of it's 2yo form from last season and is also to prove that 6f is it's trip (best form at 5f) but with first time blinkers applied today and as they are still persevering at 6f, then the horse is entitled to go very close at a decent price.

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Bet 10 3.00 Bath: Stamford Blue Was well backed LTO only to finish 2nd over 5f, getting going far too late. Up slightly in trip and from same mark with good apprentice booked, has to have claims. 3.30 Bath: Egmarey Ran well LTO from this mark over this trip. Trainer/jock have decent strike rate as partnership and think this one has every chance today with conditions to suit. Stamford Blue: 9/2 Egmarey: 4/1 1pt win double VC BOG

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Soundly thrashed thanks to some weekend specials Edward - well done mate :notworthy Anyhoo, onwards and upwards: Bet 1 3.30 Kempton: Cobo Bay 0.5pts e/w @ 40/1 Stan James BOG Disappointing LTO but ran is something was amiss when weakening away tamely over lat furlong. Had been running consistently well previously from higher marks than this and won a claimer on penultimate start at Carlisle with any amount in hand with a decent yardstick for that grade left miles behind. Has been running well from higher marks than this in handicap company and the handicapper has given the horse a chance IMO. Stable in form too.

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge BET 1 1.45 YORK OLDJOESAID 0.5 E/W 33/1 LADBROKES Four duck eggs at its name but has slipped to a very nice mark. Only run came here in May and ran well finishing 4th that was over 6f but all wins have came at today's trip. Trainer is in good form and job jockey Franny Norton booked for the steering and any rain is a plus. I think this has a really good e/w chance today and 33's is generous imo.

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Bet 2 1.45 York: Judge n Jury 0.5pts e/w @ 25/1 Bet365 BOG Think this horse has very decent claims in this contest at a tasty price. Ran competitively at start of season from marks as high as 99 and last win came from 98 in July last year. Has won in the past from 105 so today's mark of 95 is lowest horse has been since October 2008. Recent form doesn't exactly inspire confidence but if able to recapture anything close to best form would have a chance from this weight and with Joe Fanning aboard (has decent strike rate for this stable), is each way value IMO.

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Bet 2 York 4.05: Jaahiz 1pt win @ 8/1 Laddies BOG Hannon trained 2yos have to be respected and with this one's best form to date having been shown over C&D on penultimate start I think that the LTO effort over 5f in super sprint can be dismissed and 8/1 appears generous IMO.

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Cheers mate - racking up a string of seconds but would be good to see them first past the post for a change :wall Bet 4: 1.45 York: Sohcahtoa 0.5pts e/w @ 25/1 Bet365 BOG Has been tried over a variety of trips and best recent run appearred to come over 10f at Newmarket in May. Form of that race worked out quite well however this horse has disappointed since. Ran well enough LTO over 2m and I think the step back down to 12f could be a good move especially as now back down to lowest handicap mark since 2yo win on handicap debut. Big price at 25/1 IMO and no surprise to see the horse go close.

We seem to fancy a lot of the same horses these day's mate:loon Ok Bet 2 DESERT SEA 28/1 SJ 0.5 E/W Ran really well on only two runs in big handicaps this year and no reason why he wont be close at the death here and the shorter trip may be the ticket. This listed winner looks a real threat in this imo. Good Luck Spotty :tongue2:lol:ok

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Bet 5: York 1.45: Reckless Reward 1pt win @ 10/1 Bet365 BOG 2nd to Approve in the Norfolk Stakes at Ascot and with that form being franked not only yesterday by the winner but subsequently by horses further down the field you would have to say that this horse looks a little overpriced at current 10/1. Richard Hughes is on stable companion Cape to Rio, however in receipt of 5lbs from that horse I think Jimmy Fortune's mount could be the one to be on. Step up to 6f looks to hold no fear on breeding so my idea of the winner in this.

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Bet 6 2.50 York: Fravashi 1pt win @ 18/1 Bet365 BOG Bet365 have went big on this IMO as 18/1 is good value if horse can recapture a little of form shown earlier in year. Ran very well in Meydan to finish 2nd over 6f and think that the step back up to 7f on quick ground could prove ideal with last 3 wins coming at that trip. Stable in decent heart at the minute and think that Frankie may chosen the wrong horse to be with today.

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Bet 7 6.45 Wolves: Charlie Delta 0.5pts e/w @ 66/1 VC Bet Open race and think this one could prove overpriced at current 66/1 with VC Bet. Last win came over C&D in December from a mark only 2lbs higher than today. The horse has won from 10lbs higher on turf and is entitled to come on for recent disappointing turf run back from a break. Is on a nice enough mark and has each way claims for shrewd trainer IMO.

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Bet 8 4.10 Ripon: Mastership 1pt win @ 14/1 Will Hill BOG Keen on two at decent odds here today, Red Cape and Mastership but feel the latter may be best drawn today if the race is ran far side. Horse is entitled to come on for a below par return to action after a break and is now very well handicapped having won from 2lbs higher in July last year and ran a great race in Ayr Silver Cup in September from 5lbs higher. Ian Brennan claims another valuable 5lbs and with the threat of further rain not holding any fears for this horse I think it has a great chance in this today at decent odds.

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Bet 4&5 3.10 SANDOWN Hard race but i think Hannon's horse CUMULUS NIMBUS 14/1 E/W running home late lto and looks to have a fair bit more improvement to come from this horse IMO and Hughes takes over today. Price now gone so i'll go 1pt win 12/1 SJ:ok 3.45 SANDOWN PAVERSHOOZ WH 14/1 win bet ran well from poor draw last week and can pick up another race soon. Price gone 10/1 lad 1pt win:ok

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Bet 9 Sandown 3.45: Judge N Jury Has a nice track record (4-2-1) and ran a really good race on Tuesday at York. This easier and no surprise to see the horse go one better today. Sandown 2.05: Seta Highest rated of these and although will no doubt get a race from Decorative and Long Lashes, should be good enough to take this race. 1pt win double Judge n Jury: 6/1 Seta: 5/2 Both SportingBet Win double odds: 24.5/1

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge BET 7&8 . 2.50 CHESTER MOJAVE MOON 25/1 O.5 E/W SJ A bit of an awkward customer but good on a going day. Ground should suit and trainer and jock get there share of winners well worth a bet at the price IMO. 3.25 CHESTER REDFORD 14/1 0.5 E/W Nicholls trained runner and his son has picked.

Re: Charlie v Eddie £5 Weekly Challenge Bet 10 Sandown 3.10: Dansili Dancer 0.5pts e/w @ 18/1 Bet365 BOG Think this horse has an outstanding chance here. Dropped to 10f should be no problem given this course is quite a test and should be strong as an ox up the hill. Has a decent turn of foot too and won well for this pilot on the AW at Kempton in March from 4lbs higher. Has won from on the turf from higher too and is a C&D winner to boot - everything looks in place for a big run IMO and can see this one going very close.
