Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march )

Rep. of Ireland v Bulgaria (19:45GMT) 2.03 3.60 4.20
Bet: Rep. Of Ireland 2.05 @betsson Reason: Berbatov is injured and I think Ireland with coach Trapattoni is to good nowadays. Ireland is going to well now to go against them in any way so no X2 here.
Cyprus v Georgia (18:00GMT) 2.14 3.30 3.60
Bet: Cyprus 2.00 @bet365 Reason: Cyprus at home, not so smart to go against but they're worth backing. They could win by 2 goals also. Last time Cyprus played away to Georgia it was Cyprus who played the best.

thats truth, cyprus was the better side all the way, missed penalty and several clear chances to win, there is a revenge factor also here, our players consider this match as a world cup final...they cant forget what they suffered in georgia....i will come later for analysis and prediction :ok

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) Don't waste your time because the odds are going down if not yet. Ireland - Bulgaria Home win. All the way. Man City's striker Valeri Bojinov, who is in a really good form lately, although he's not scoring, looks like the only available striker for this WCQ. Man Utd's Berbatov is with injury, and Hertha BSC had not yet answered if they will allow Valeri Domovchisky to play. Their answer is expected today, but with or without him, it's the same situation. National coach Stanimir Stoilov is out of forwards and on the top of it, he included Radostin Kishishev, an old player (had not played for over a year), in the group. That's probably affecting the other's morale. Eh... 2.00 with several bookies. It's hard to go agains your national team, but betting has nothing to do with support. Good luck all. ;)

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march )

Korea DPR v UAE (06:30GMT) 1.91 2.30 3.45
Bet: Korea DPR -0.5 1.925 bet365 Reason: Do I need a reason for this? Korea must win this game and it's a fact when you look at the standings in their group. UAE have nothing to play for in this match and they have only got 1 point in the bottom of the qualifying group. Korea is second on 7 points and need a win here to keep their second place or even get to first place if their korean neighbours fail to win their next game. On third place we have Iran on 6 points. I hope you all understand how important this game is to North Korea. If they win they have a major chance of getting to the world cup.

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) I can't ignore this treble (bet365) of wc qualifying bets Cyprus 2.00, Ireland -0.5 1.975, Korea DPR -0.5 1.925. Total odds: 7.60 Stake: 10/10. Take it or leave it. To me it looks like a great opportunity to get some cash. Can't ignore this one either: Cyprus -1 4.60 bet365.

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) Spain home win against turkey should be one of surest bets at weekend, but odds are quite poor around 1,40. Spain, currently leading Group 5, have a four-point lead over second-placed Turkey. We will see them around 1,30 or even below @ saturday. Valencia stars Villa & Silva are recovering well and will probably play, Pool's Torres is on fire again, but Benitez insists that his stirker should be rested due to upcoming heavy schedule in domestic league and CL. Youngster Mata (Valencia) will probably replace injured Barca Star Iniesta. Fernando Llorente is available, even Guiza got a call up by Del Bosque instead of Raul, in-form Negredo is on standyby so spain's offense will probably do fine. Key defender Puyol (Barca) is suspended for this match, but he didn't play 3 matchers in row for Barca, so he wouldn't be 100% fit anyway. His Barca colleague, Gerard Pique, will be the favourite to cover for him. Fatih Terim is concerned about the injury or lack of fitness of several key players. Injured defenders Servet Cetin and Gokhan Zan didn't travel to spain, Gokhan Gonul, Gokhan Unal and Hamit Altintop are all doubtful due to lack of fitness. Doesn't matter which team is fielded by Del Bosque, spain can compensate each missing player quite better than injury-ravaged squad of turkey. We will probably see an open match with many goal oportunities on both sides but IMO by at the end spain will win comfortably, perhaps smth like 3:1 For me Spain -1,25 or over 2,5 goals are both good options, both with odds around 1,80. Will await futher team news to decide which bet will be more safe one. GL @all ;)

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) I really don't fancy our chances in Holland. McFadden out, and McManus is now doubtful for us at the back. I hate to say it, and although I won't be backing it myself, Holland look a banker in my eyes. I hope I am wrong in every way possible though!

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) Huntelaar will be the key forward for Netherlands without any doubt, I rate this guy higher than Van Persie. He shows red hot form in Madrid lately. As home win odds don't offer much value, I'm tempted to bet on Huntelaar to score any time. 10Bet offers generous 2,30

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) i'm not seeing value on anything except only small underdog bet on bosnia. it seem that game could go over as bosnian defense is very poor and will surelly concede goals. bosnian attack is pretty good overall with in form bundesliga striker dzeko and center forward misimovic. back from injury bajramovic will probably play some role in the game and lyon young talent pjanic could get a chance at some point. both teams to score is very likely. a draw 2-2 or 3-2 to either team is very possible.

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) I'll await Youseff's African analysis before final selections, but Cyprus dived out at me also at 1st glance, as did Switzerland at a poor Moldova. Berbatov misses the game in Dublin ( even though there is rumour he may play I cant see it ) Trappatoni an old hand at this level and 2.00 for Ireland is very very appealling. Finally a bit of light in football betting, getting away from the domestic lottery !! Holland to win to nil looks staggeringly big at 6/5 IMO

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) Israel - Greece Bet: Israel 2.50 bet365 Reason: Greece lost their last at home to Switzerland and Greece will have a hard time in Israel. They have many keyplayers in doubt. Amanatidis have been injured and not been playing for Frankfurt a long time. Angelos Basinas have made three appearances for Portsmouth while Theofanis Gekas have made none for Portsmouth. At the same time Israel have Yossi Benayoun scoring for Liverpool and Ben Sahar scoring for his team De Graafschaap in Holland. Enough to back Israel for me.

mate' date=' is this game being played in Israel do you know ?[/quote'] It pretty mutch depends on what happens around Gaza. Matches in Israel have been cancelled this year. I would still back Israel if the match would be played in some other place.

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) for me the Israel - Greece clash is jeopardy on 1X2 market but under 2,5 goal bets looks like a good bet. Greece will be satisfied with one point away from home and Israel will have problems to score against strong greece defense, which conceded only 2 goals in 4 matches. Odds around 1,60 don't offer real value but IMO good combo material.

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march )

recommend to play first 2 ones as 1X (cover the draw)' date=' add france away win and you'll have perhaps smth near "good combo" :ok[/quote'] You seem like a chicken-punter who don't dare to take on odds above 1.60. You know you really are destroying the good bets by saying you recommend 1X on Cyprus and Ireland. I call it dumb betting. When you get Irland 1.90 for straight win you take it at those odds and you don't get stupid and play chicken. It's your bets but keep it to yourself please because there might be some on this forum who don't think Ireland or Cyprus are 1X matches. Myself as an example!

It's not about being a "chicken-hunter" or being stupid, it's an open forum, everyone has his opinion and is free to give his advice so plz try and change your tongue, ok? it's all about stakes and confidence. You are confident about straight homewins, that's ok for me. If I wanted to stake only few bucks, I would probably play also the straight home wins, but for me the more safer option is 1X play, cos I see also a draw risk in both matches. All about money management ;)

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) What about POLAND away to northern ireland?? Big odds for a team who beat the Republic on their own patch, even though it was a friendly, still hard to do. Also beat wales in cardiff... Have no news on poland yet but N Ireland missing key players; Suspended: Kyle Lafferty (FWD), George mc cartney (DEF), steve davis (MID) Injured: Martin Patterson (FWD) , Pat Mc Court (mid) and have called in a 19 year old who has no senior experience(i dont think so anyway) Add to this the lack of playing time healy has and its not looking good for NI.. What you guys an gals think??

I was thinking about Poland as well. They're a stuffy team who do well in qualifiers. I don't know if Boruc will be playing but if he does, it'll be just like him to have a stormer after everything that's been said. Also, the players missing are key players who would have started, no doubt. The only think that worries me is Norn Iron's home record, which is excellent.

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) As far as I know P.Brozek (Wisla Krakow) is injured on polish side. That shouldn't be a big issue since Beenhakker has at least 3 good snipers to choose from: I.Jelen (Auxerre), R.Lewandowski (Lech Poznan) and M.Saganowski (Southampton). E.Smolarek (Bolton) can play forward as well. M.Komorowski (Legia Warsaw) and R.Murawski (Lech Poznan) had been replaced by 2 other Lech players but that shouldn't affect the first 11. What's interesting is that J.Blaszczykowski (Borussia Dortmund) is coming back after long injury, which may enhance the attack power of Poland. All in all seems like a valuable bet. EDIT: Calsa the NI home games doesn't seem so excellent to me. In reverse order: 19/11-08 lost 0-2 to Hungary (friendly) 15/10-08 won 4-0 with San Marino (Quali) 10/09-08 draw 0-0 with Czech R (Quali) 26/03-08 won 4-1 with Georgia (Quali) 06/02-08 lost 0-1 to Bulgaria (friendly) Seems solid to me but not excellent.

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) last time we played in Belfast we beat NI 3-0. thing is, Poland are a bit unpredictable at the moment. Last qualifier, 1 up till late in the game against Slovakia, yet still managed to blow it, ended up losing away to them 2-1. a good thing for those wanting to bet on Poland is that IMO North. Ireland tend to raise their game, esp. at home, only against top teams ie. Spain but against less respectable opposition they can struggle. still, for me it's a no bet.

Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) No one mentioned Portugal yet..Portugal to win 1.7 Sweden without Ibrahimovic and Willhelmsson out of the best shape..Lagerback assumed that a draw will be a good result if the match is balanced. I believe the match will be far from balanced...as usual, Portugal will dominate and create a lot of chances..Sweden´s main porpuse will be to avoid goals and keep their midfield always close to Majstorovic and Mellberg in the area. I just can´t imagine Elmander and the grandpa Larsson creating chances against Bruno Alves and Pepe.. The main problem for Portugal has been the finishing...Almeida (Bremen) needs 10 shots to score a goal, Ronaldo never plays his best in the national team, Danny is a newbie in the squad and definitely he is not a striker, but finnally someone had corage to call Edinho...last year this guy played in Setubal with Carvalhal but was never a first XI choice...however everytime he entered a match he scored...this year in AEK he has been scoring some important goals and he is definitely the guy that Portugal needs upfront. Win or die match for 4th placed in the last World Cup...1.7 for home win seems nice to me! Also fancy France 1.7...i can´t see another result then an away victory here. Lithuania shocked the world when they beat Romania away from home by 3-0 and then beat Austria at their homeground. There´s no way they can keep the second place in the group. tomorrow they´ll miss Danilevicius and Stankevicius..."only" their best players. France is getting better each match...Arsenal´s defense is there with Diaby, Clichy, Gallas and Sagna. Houarau has been scoring a lot of goals aswell as Gignac. with Ribery Benzema Henry upfront France can´t fail to sneak 3 points. Also Lithuania has probably the worst coach in the history of the portuguese football. He took the lead of Porto´s back in 2005 when Porto was drawn in points in the first place and he didn´t manage to win the championship only one year after Porto won the Champions. Then in the national U-21 team he couldn´t even pass the group phase in the European Championship that was played here in Portugal...in that very same year, just after the european, he played the Under-20 World Cup in the USA managing to get only 3 points against New Zealand and another bad story to tell. That´s why he traveled to Lithuania...to stay away from Portugal where he has a lot of bad memories. The other team i will bet is Hungary -0. They are second placed in the same group as Portugal and Denmark. They beat Albania 2-0 a few months ago and i think they won loose this one. Hungary has a lot of experienced players, otherwise Albania has only Hannover´s Altin Lala. Hungary has Martin Fulop, Gera, Hajnal, Pal Dardai, PSV´s Dzudzak.. I think they´ll win and keep dreaming about reaching the final stage of the World Cup.
