bowles10 Posted March 9, 2009 Share Posted March 9, 2009 RULES 100pts per day must be staked by each entrant A competition thread will be open each day for posting of bets 1-3 bets per day (so you can have either 1 bet, 2 bets or 3 max) win or ew singles accepted (all ew bets are 1/4 odds) win or ew doubles accepted (all ew bets are 1/4 odds) no trebles More than 1 horse can be selected from same race min bet 10pts max bet 100pts Bets must be in multiples of 5pt units (i.e 5, 10, 15 etc not 17, 27 etc) All bets must be posted at the same time in one post. All bets must be posted before time of first race each day. Totals will be worked out on profit only (same as BBOTD) Official results only, no enhanced places as some bookies may be doing. NR's can only be replaced by reserves which must be in the original post, there are no edits to posts or re-posts. Blair Boy Posted March 9, 2009 Share Posted March 9, 2009 Re: PL Cheltenham Tipster Competition - Day 1 Tuesday Selections here please 3.20 Binocular 50pts I'm really looking forward to this race, probably because I have already backed Binocular but it will be interesting to see how the race turns out and hoping all goes well that he wins I will also be interested to see how many lengths he wins by or he may be fighting it out for the finish. 3.20 Katchit 25pts e/w last years winner Katchit has not really been showing his best form of late but has a great record at this course of winning 5-6 and 1 2nd, he already been beaten by the market leader Binocular but there is nothing to say the form can't be reversed at what looks the be Katchit's course which makes Katchit very appealing for a place. Although Medermit has never run at Cheltenham I think he is worth chancing at the price off the back off some decent novice hurdle form. Katchit is, well, Katchit and Cheltenham should see him in a completely different light to Ascot, Wincanton and Kempton where he has been put in his place this season. His record at Cheltenham is amazing. I doubt he's good enough to beat Binocular but I'm hoping for a 20/1 double from the place aspect of this bet with both around 16/1 at the minute. I'msingintheblues gave weight and a beating to Calgary Bay recently but is practically double the price here despite the fact he has the luxury of running off level weights for this. The top rated hurdler has historically done well in this race and Christian Williams' mount is top rated for this. He has course winning form and has won on gd/soft and providing the conditions don't worsen I will probably have another tickle in the morning. just for future clarification, does an EW bet count as 1 or 2 bets, and can you do 5 pts EW or is the minimum 10 pt EW?
