Windsor 16/6/08

6.30 Dear Maurice is a course and distance winner and deservedly takes his place at the head of the market as Ryan Moore rides. However, it carries a 6 lb penalty so does it justify its short odds of 10/11? Unless it drifts I'm not playing this one. 7.30 Moore opts to ride the newcomer, Barnezet, over Like For This, the more experienced of the stable pair. 7/2. 9.00 Kyrie Eleison - been in and around the places of late, apprentice ditched in favour of Dane O'Neill today. Betting indicates this race is wide open so I'm having a little play on Richard Hannon's horse at 8/1.

Re: Windsor 16/6/08 7.30 Like For Like E/W - 10/3 @ Bet365 - b.o.g After two 3rds this could prove the ideal opportunity for Like For Like to open her account. She made slow starts over 6f and had too much to do, but should know more about it now and a decent break could see her take this. Barnezet E/W - 9/2 @ Boylesports - b.o.g. Interesting to see Ryan Moore taking the debutant here. Has a speedy pedigree and can run a race today. At 9/2 with odds guarnatee I will take a chance.

Re: Windsor 16/6/08 6.30 Dear Maurice, Willow Dancer and Bivoauc are horses that I've backed in the past and who I believed could be decent handicappers this year. Dear Maurice looks the more likely winner, with the penalty unlikely to stop him, there was plenty to like about the manner of his victory LTO. There will be more to come from Willow Dancer and Bivouach now they've got their head in front but may need to find easier tasks. Dear Maurice 85% of stake Willow Dancer 15% of stake 21 betfair plus combos with Bivouac if he runs (ground?).

Re: Windsor 16/6/08 my best bet of the day would be dear maurice 630 wind. unexposed race and so always a danger of something popping up and spoiling the party, but this fella has shown enough to suggest he can get a win this even and i doubt any of the others can improve, or show enough to match him.

Re: Windsor 16/6/08 8.00 Windsor 6f race here for these Class 4 handicappers. Just 11 go to post but there are some fancy prices available and I'm taking double figures on: Halsion Chancer (10/1 >William Hill) - Only has to take to turf to take this IMO. Very progressive sprinter on the AW with 6 wins from 10 starts. No show in 2 turf starts but last race was at Epsom, a track it clearly didn't handle, where the jockey eased the horse a lot. Add to that, the grade was Class 2 and off 82, there is every chance this easier track will see it go close now it is back in its rightful grade of Class 4 and gets in here off just 80. Jockey gets on really well with this horse too. Looks a really open race and at the price, I find it hard to ignore this horse. Great EW chance at 10's.

Re: Windsor 16/6/08 8.00 I also give Halsion Chancer a squeak here. I had a massive touch on him down at Lingfield in January and he is well in on most of his A/W form. If he can transform his ability from dirt to turf then he will surely win races this season. That however is a big if, his two turf runs to date have been 10th of 10 at Sandown and 10th of 12 at Epsom - was fancied both times. I backed Scarlett Oak on her previous two starts. was unlucky two runs ago when hanging her chance away. Ran solidly LTO when failing to get home over 7f. Definitely handicapped to win a small race. Dressed To Dance and Buy On The Red have chances on their C&D form and are at least solid. Scarlet Oak 30% of stake 17.5 betfair Halsion Chancer 30% of stake 11 betfair Dressed To Dance 20% of stake 12 betfair Buy On The Red 20of stake 14.5 betfair Plus 4 horse combos

Re: Windsor 16/6/08 9.00 Nags To Riches could be well handicapped if his run behind William Blake is to be taken literally. Lay off to contend with though. John Gosden's doesn't have many horses that are rated 67 despite running in two Newmarket maidends - especially when they cost 165 grand! Has showed signs of temperament but will surely improve now handicapping. I've been waiting for Closertobelieving since his run here a fortnight ago. I nearly backed him that night but was unsure about the drop to a mile. He'd ran in some decent maidens without being disgraced and I thought his mark of 70 was more than fair. He was a most unlucky loser on that handicap debut a fortnight ago - he missed the break but recovered to travel very well at halfway. He was repeatedly short of room for the final two or three furlongs and finished on the bridle beaten just 3l. I made him a good bet in a maiden last week but he was pulled out (ground was fast) - so the going would be my only worry tonight. Closertobelieving 75% of stake 5 betfair De Facto 20% of stake 8.2 betfair Nags To Riches 5% of stake 30 betfair

Re: Windsor 16/6/08 8.00 Kensington STD specialist, but a few unsuccessful outings on turf. however, Stephen Donohoe its regular STD jockey is onboard tonight for the first time in a while on turf. this partnership has won 2 of the last 3 outings, one of which was a discountable 10th. 0.5EW

Re: Windsor 16/6/08

Cheers mate - a pleasing night. Although I had it wrong earlier, it was only 3/3 after the 9.00 6/7 on the night though after the quick late bet was beaten a short head at Warwick. Plus 2 F/C's and a T/C! Now for Ascot......
Absolutely brilliant :clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy Will put you up on the rolling ticker shortly because that is tremendous.
