Re: Crouchie's Poker Thread The run was pretty ludicrous really, i was hitting big hands and running into bigger ones, just stopped now and i had pocket J's raise PF get re-raised all-in and i only called to confirm my suspisions - that you do get set up a lot on there - they turn over aces and i lose. The hand before i nearly called 8,6 o/s PF but decided against it - just as well! the flop came 4d 5s 7h, so i would have had a straight, it turned out that the chip leader on the table had 2 pairs - 7's and 4's so he would have called any of my raises and then the turn and river brought running spades so i would have lost the whole buy anyway! Tomorrow's another day!...

Re: Crouchie's Poker Thread Lol, yeah, I knew you didn't have a King and you know my game is tight and I believed you'd have figured me to lay down if I didn't have top pair, so I called. Only lost $10 but it so easily could have been $140 if it wasn't for that AK getting paid by a smaller ace.

Why did I leave or why did I make dosh or why did I play looser? Anyway, I left coz I was annoyed that I didn't win that pot because I felt I should have, and it was a pretty big pot. Didn't feel like I played it incorrectly either, which is always more annoying. Not too pissed as my buy-in was only $10 but annoyed all the same. So back to watching Friday Night Aussie Football and be back later.

Re: Crouchie's Poker Thread Yeah, i'm drifting away from the cash games atm mainly because the fish are in very short supply, not that these players are very good, but the people who give their money away are v rare now so i'm playing more MTT and STT atm. Makes sense if the profit margins are slowing down to start playing against the better players again which is what i'm thinking.

The one's who'll call with a middle pair or some crap, managed to hit their 5 outer and then continuing on, but who seemingly never get said middle pair when you have the nuts. Very annoying, particularly given the guy who 'cracked' my AK so obviously is a fish who can't lay down top pair crap kicker, as evidenced by the fact he lost all of this stack later on!

Just played 3 and all had numerous amounts of fish on who call with nothing or push with nothing :clap Played 3: $3 STT came 3rd got donked by a guy going all in nearly everytime i called with A5 he had J10 o/s he hit a 10. $5 STT got super donked in the first couple of hands. I had bullets, raised, got re-raised, i re-re-raised they pushed all in, i call. They turn over pocket 5's!! I had re-raised them twice and so early in the tourn they push with 5's. The flop came JJ5 and i'm donked out. $5 STT just watched a load of donks knock eachother out with my own double-ups a few times and end up winning the STT at a canter thanks to no bad beats this time! Don't think i'll be on cash for a while... Just won another $5 STT that's 3placings out of 4 and 2 out of 3 out right wins. :nana Played 2 more. Got donked out of 1st one when i was comfortably on course for the top 3, i re-raised with Q's to 1k, the chip leader called, the flop came i pushed all in with my 3k, he called with J10 flush draw and hit his flush. Totally donk play to play J10 with the big raise then call all that hoping for one card n/m. Next tourn came second :ok So 6 played - 4placings :dude Just won another $5 STT :lol Got tired, lost last the 3! n/m still well up :D Just got royally donked to make it 4 in a row, but it was a bit of a joke. Had A5 in SB, i forced BB all in with his last 800 he turns over Q4 and hits trip Q's on river when i had paired A on flop!. Later had my last 1k went all in with 44 v short stack they turn over 43 - dream scenario - but no, they hit a straight! Then with my last few chips someone hits a J on river when playing with crap again. That was a Royal Donking!! Played 2 more: came 2nd and 5th. Paid in: $63, won: $111 OMG! I keep getting donked! I raise PF 3 times blind with KK get called by one, flop comes xxQ, i move all-in he calls straight away and turns over AK, the river comes an A and he wins leaving me with 600. My main gripe with it is he then went shouting the odds that he called because he "Had a good hand" A 10minute argument ensues whereby he fails to grasp the fact he moved his last 1500 chips with precisely ace high and he calls it a 'good hand' How the F is ace high good enough to call 1300 chips?!?! COMPLETE **** :wall:wall:wall:wall:wall:wall:wall AK pre-flop is a 'good hand' but Ace high post flop with nothing is an average at best hand, ace high faced with an all-in raise is at best a shit hand. :sad This is some sort of sick joke.
