Re: Slapdash systems 2006 Kitski 3.10 Hereford @1.55 for place is available at 9/2 with the bookies at the moment and 5/1 with betfair. My calculations come out at place market (100/1.55) X 1.9= 122% win market (100/6) x 5.5 = 92% advantage to Punter = 7% With only 8 runners I will wait till just before the off before having a punt if 8 runners remain and hope the price holds up.

Good choice especially for E-W double (need another horse:D) but Win price @7 with Betfair makes it disputable. I am waiting too. With such a strong favourite I am not affraid of missing Early price and I'll wait till last moment.

Re: Slapdash systems 2006 4.10 Wolverhampton Scroll (11/2 Ladbrokes) 10 points EW. Each way system. There's an odds on favourite, and we're getting 2.10 for the place, compared to a lay price of 1.79 on Betfair. The Betfair win price is 6.80, which is just about OK, a bit higher than the price we're getting. Some other bookies are as low as 9/2, so I'll take the price.

Re: Slapdash systems 2006 2.15 Wetherby Pontiff (9/2 Sporting Odds) 10 points EW. Each way system. An odds on favourite, and we're getting 1.90 for the place, compared to a lay price of 1.58 on Betfair. The win price on Betfair is 6.00, a bit higher than we're getting, but the difference in place prices is enough to compensate.

Re: Slapdash systems 2006 4.20 Carlisle Harbour Breeze (6/1 Sporting Odds) 10 points EW. Each way system. The favourite is about evens, and the second favourite is around 11/4. We're getting 2.20 for the place, compared to a lay price of 1.88 on Betfair. The Betfair win price of 6.40 is also lower than we're getting.

Re: Slapdash systems 2006 2.50 Kelso Russian Sky (SP) 10 points EW. Each way system. Short priced first and second favourites. We'd get 2.40 for the place at the best early price of 7/1, compared to a lay price of 2.12 on Betfair. The Betfair win price is the same as the best early price. As I usually do in these races with two short priced runners if there's no obvious reason not to, I'll take SP.

Re: Slapdash systems 2006 Harbour Breeze won, but I wish I'd taken SP! The other two lost, making a 32 point profit. Starting Bank: 1000 Current Bank: 1481.17 Total Staked: 2060 W/P/L: 16/29/58 Profit/Loss: +481.17 (Win +297.33, Place +183.84) Yield: +23.36%

Re: Slapdash systems 2006 4.40 Warwick Lucky Luk (14/1 William Hill) 10 points EW. Each way system. The favourite is about even money. We're getting 3.80 for the place, compared to a lay price of 3.15 on Betfair, and the Betfair win price of 13.5 is also less than we're getting. Most bookies have much lower prices for this, so I'll take the 14/1.

Re: Slapdash systems 2006 The favourite has been withdrawn, cutting this down to seven runners and only two places. I think there'll be a 50p rule 4 deduction, cutting the 14/1 on Lucky Luk to 7/1. Still, that doesn't look a bad price compared to the current best available 5/1.

Two more non-runners! I think the total rule 4 is now 65p, leaving me with a price of 5.90. Still not bad compared to the best price now available of 5.00.

Re: Slapdash systems 2006 1.30 Lingfield Miss Patricia (4/1 Sporting Odds) 10 points EW. Each way system. There's an odds on favourite, and we're getting 1.80 for the place, compared to a lay price of 1.55 on Betfair. The Betfair win price is 5.30, a bit higher than we're getting. Bet365 have just cut this to 7/2, so I'll take the early price at SportingOdds.
