ThunderDan9
OK, I'm going with Pietreczko at 3,50... it' the same odds he had in the SF of the last ET... where he won 7-6 against MVG (at the same venue as tonight), then he went on to win that ET tournament, then beating Ross Smith here in the first round... betting on the home dog at such odds is a bet I have to take, and I won't regret it even if MVG happens to easily win this time. Fader
Michael Smith has been really quite rubbish since that Worlds win. Yeah, first to 10 probably plays into MVGs hands but it's worth a punt on Pietreczko.

Rock didn’t turn up tonight and with Van Veen I wasn’t sure if his doubling would be that great on the big stage. He looked really good though and calm. 5pts Van Veen to beat Gurney 4/5 bet365 Very good call shame I didn't follow you on it! (although I do have an outright on Van Veen). Gian played very well aside from a lean spell in the middle of the match. His finishing was excellent, on this form he'll be hard stopped. Fader
Would be such a great match to see Van Veen against Pietreczko. Fingers crossed he can perform tonight
Fader
meh, unfortunately, Pikachu scoring isn't there so far a minute later he hits a 140, 180 and an 80 checkout lol he needs an out of sorts MVG tonight really and MVG looks up for it
Fader
Such a shame MVG was in such good form. Anything below a 100 average and I think Pikachu wins it. 105 average from MVG ThunderDan9 and amity
amity
Yeh MVG was hitting 140s for fun. Ricardo just too inconsistent tonight unfortunately. And MVG could have won by more if he hadn't gone for that fancy D19 D19 finish! 😆 He's coming to the boil at just the right time is Van Gerwen. Fader
Humphries v MVG. Winner plays Price in the final is, I suppose, the most likely outcome and what was expected from the start. The latter rounds we go the more likely the better player wins, I suppose. On a personal note, I'll be hoping for Dobez vs Humphries now. amity
ThunderDan9
Well... that's... that's an unexepected pool of semi-finalists... And Noppert-Price was one of the weirdest matches I have ever seen... 0-7, then 10-1... Fader
amity
What a shame Van Veen couldn't hold it together for the whole match, after being 5-1 up and comfortably the better player til that point. Presumably he got nervous as his scoring and finishing went right down after that and it was just a matter of time as to when Wade would overhaul him. Fader
yeah, Wade making the final kind of shows the quality level of this event, this year. Wright was 25/1 pre tournament, which looks huge now. However, a weird event. vikki37, amity and ThunderDan9
