Missed out by just half a length last year before turning out again at the meeting. On a lower rating this time and has a chance. Alanya won the ladies derby at the curragh and boasts some decent french form. This is just the second run in Ireland for Thomas Gibney. Not bad saying it consisted of four of the horses I picked for the Goodwood comp and my selection method was to try and pick horses whose initial letters spelt out “no chance”!
