Valiant Thor Posted April 30, 2020 Share Posted April 30, 2020 (edited) Morning all...... down to 29.10 profit on the week Looking back on all the bets since Monday, Ive had(from an all be it small sample)...... bets 34 12 winners ( 35% sr which is acceptable) 3.59 average winning odds (5/2 ish again is acceptable) Staked 415.43 Returned 444.53 profit 29.10 P.O.T 7% So in effect I should be beating the book by around 26% (not the 7% which is the case atm) The reason Ive found for this is due to having quite a few 2nds & 3rds when selecting horses in these overseas races I decided to try win/place betting (not really my bag but can work) so as to be a bit conservative and save my betting bank, but as my selections tend to be more like Mark Johnston's horses (either win or fall out the back of the telly) all Ive been doing is slowly eroding the profit away when they place and not getting the full bang for my buck when they win.
