how is footballxg in comparison to footystats concercing xg data? they have very different numbers in their xg data.

what makes understat best?

i am looking for the most reliable source for xg data. understat has very few leagues, footballxg has a bit more and footystats a lot more. i am wondering about each's site accuracy (who has the more precise model), since they dont publish the formula they use for producing their xg numbers

from my own calculations, i can definetely rate footballxg is better than footystats in this aspect.

footystats seem to have overreacting measure system in their xg data that overinterpertates their xg numbers.

i have yet to do the comparison between footballxg and understat though

google is your friend when it comes to knowning new stuff

owning that stuff and transforming them into a context where they can produce predictions is another thing though.

requires collecting odd data along to usual stats, combining them with that analytic stats to produce somekind of a result and a prediction vs market's predictions as that is being encapsulated in the dynamic odds enviroment that describes an event.

nothing is easy in betting and progressively it will only get harder as games and probabilities surrounding them get more and more disected by the market

I remembered reading this article by KP in the RP (!!) where he states that "FiveThirtyEight’s expected goals stats are the best I have seen".

that almost goes without saying, why bother for something expected, when it affects minimally your market? obviously, xg, rating systems etc have more to with goal and side markets

footystats, cost arounnd 10 euros per month,quite good site,im using it for the small leagues of UK and Germany
