Copperfacejack 6/4 bet365

C/D winner which is important around here, often frustrating sort who has more second places than me but recently has been a much more reliable type. Again was a runner up last time but that was back after a lay off, over an extended trip and I though ran well at the weights. No excuses here so really should get back to winning ways with Mr Johnson booked as well!!

Kempton 3.35

two atr tracker horses running in this:

CHELTENAM DE VAIGE @ 11/4

runner up on both starts for new trainer back end of last year, going down by 1/2l at Plumpton(winner received 13lb) and then would have won at Huntingdon but for mistake at the last(winner received 14lb) Trainer/jockey in form and has ground to suit(was pulled out few weeks back due to soft going)

CELMA DES BOIS @ 9/1

never jumped the last day but caught the eye staying on close home into 3rd behind a pair of 100 rated rivals.Been dropped a pound for that to 86 and right down at foot of the weights here on 10st2.

Have added Zoltan Varga and done combination forecasts/tricasts.

Catterick 5.10
Merry Banter
Well handicapped but needs to be as she hasnt won for 597 days. Has a 13% strike rate but on good going this increases to 40%. Has form figures of 312 over 5f at Catterick and is drawn in stall 1. 9/10 winners of this race have been drawn 5 or lower and all these winners have been under 10/1. Merry Banter is currently 5/1 (RP forecast is at 10/1 though)
Should run a good race and it's interesting to note that the trainer puts up Catterick's top jockey in Paul Mulrennan instead of the apprentice that rode her last time.
5/1

Windsor 6.20
Taking on the likely favourite Silent Echo and Little Palaver with Cartographer who is well handicapped
and one of just few won have won on the ground (g/s) and over the distance. Silent echo has done neither. Sitting in stall four is a plus at Windsor over 6f on g/s or soft ground. Hopefully Harry and Meghan will be on to pay for their honeymoon.
8/1

Windsor 7.50
Andok hasnt won since his 2yo days so is over due. Last of five on his seasonal debut should keep his price
at around the 10/1 mark but his form late last year gives him a chance and he also won't mind if the ground dries up a little. Richard Fahey has a good strike rate here and is in good form.
9/1

Towcester 6.30
Nikki Steel
Backed him lto when he should've won but a mistake at the last cost him the race. Consolation in this race as his rating
has not gone up. 7/4 but hope of a drift in the market

5.10 Catterick

Captain Lars looks interesting back on turf now following an absolutely prolific AW campaign. Since joining Archie Watson in February this year, he has racked up 5 wins in 12 runs. His last run on 3rd May he produced another victory in Claiming company so still clearly in good heart. His last run in a handicap was in a Class 2 at Lingfield off 84, only beaten 2 lengths by Tomily (rated 104 on the AW). Switched back to turf today Captain Lars has the luxury of racing off 72 - 12lbs lower than his last handicap run. Looks decent value at 8/1 with Bet365.
