7th yesterday

Amenon 13.50 Perth 1 Pt Win @ 11\10 (bog)

Placed all 4 starts since joining this yard, beaten only a neck by a less exposed rival at Wincanton last month. A reproduction of that performance would make him the one to beat.

3rd & 1st @ 11\8 yesterday

Shaped as if better for the run after 10 months off when third in 8-runner handicap at this course (13.3f) 14 days ago, headed over 1f out after looming up home turn. He's on a handy mark on the pick of his 3-y-o form and needs taking seriously.

Smart hurdler at best but without a win since 2019. Second of 4 in novice chase (7/4) at Thurles (22f, good to soft) 34 days ago. Does have a tendency to make the odd mistake but a bold bid is expected here.

Magisterial 15.51 Leicester 1 Pt Win @ 9\4 (bog)

Frankel colt from a great family and confirmed debut promise when off the mark in an 8.2f novice at Haydock in October. Will stay 1¼m and open to further improvement.

Concert Hall 16.15 Navan 1 Pt Win @ 9\4 (bog)

Useful filly. Two wins from 6 runs last year. 4 lengths sixth of 9 to Inspiral in Fillies' Mile (17/2) at Newmarket (8f, good to soft). Off 6 months but fitnes no issue given yard and she's a big form player.

Update Year 6

image.png.a86a8d5798b6c4f6ed00ad19a5973184.png

Shock horror things have changed this year with Irish picks getting off to a flyer. The UK Strike Rate is terrible at the moment. The one year the UK ended with a loss the SR was 36.5% and the average overall for the UK is 38.7%, so need a good run soon enough to get this 28.13 % rising.

PU & 1st @ 11\8 yesterday

King of Time 16.50 Newmarket 1 Pt Win @ 5\4 (bog)

€195,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park gelding. Half-brother to useful bumper winner/smart hurdler Eskylane. Wears tongue strap. Of obvious interest given connections.

Lake Shore Drive  18.20 Sedgefield 1 Pt Win @ 2\1 (bog)

Capitalised on a much reduced mark when seeing off 17 rivals at Exeter (23f) in a first-time visor last month. Forged clear after the last and he's a major player off 7 lb higher if the headgear works as well a second time.

Caldwell Diamond 20.30 Ballinrobe 1 pt Win @ 6\5 (bog)

Thrice-raced maiden under NH rules. Second of 10 in bumper at Kilbeggan (15.1f, good, 4/1) 12 days ago. Sets the standard.

American Pharoah filly who made an impressive start in 15-runner C&D maiden (11/10, good to soft) 21 days ago. Could be smart and leading claims.

Update Year 6

image.png.704e37f23c234a4f4aeb1fdadefdd751.png

Not pretty reading at the moment - both sides have Strike Rates well lower than average. Ireland still at a turnaround level, GB just starting to sneak out to the border line of no return. :hope
