Spanish duel in the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals we have and first leg is at "San Mames" in Bilbao. This won't be the first Spanish tie for Athletic as they eliminated Valencia of Gary Neville in the last round while Sevilla comes after a win against Basel.
Both sides had poor weekend and their slips were combined with an away victory of Villarreal, so thus they're now on 9 points behind "The Yellow Submarine" in La Liga and their only hope to achieve Champions League football next season remains via Europa League, like Sevilla did last year again.
With an opportunity for third trophy in a row, Unai Emery's men are heading to The Basque Country after a surprising home defeat against another Basque club - 1:2 vs Real Sociedad. That was Sevilla's first home defeat after 17 successive wins at their "Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán”.
Athletic Bilbao had a home failure as well when they failed to win over Granada (1:1), but the good news from that game are that Iñaki Williams made his first appearance after end of February, but however, Sabin Merino pulled a hamstring injury. He's not the only missing name which Ernesto Valverde has - Raúl García is suspended, while most of you probably heard that season has ended for Aymeric Laporte.
I'm backing the same fact as in the previous round - Sevilla remains without a victory away from home this season, if we exclude their Copa del Rey matches which were against Segunda Division teams and one of them was against Real Betis. In all other matches Sevilla have 11 draws and 10 defeats, with only 1 draw in 5 European outings this season.
Athletic Bilbao surely realize how good chance they have to earn a good lead from their home game and they know how difficult it will be in Sevilla. That's why I believe that Athletic must use the poor away form of Sevilla and they can claim to take advantage of the situation - home win for "The Lions" from Bilbao.

Pick: Athletic Bilbao
Odd: 2.20 @ bet365
Units: (5/10)

Possible squads:

Athletic: Herrerín, Balenziaga, San José, Etxeita, De Marcos, Rico, Beñat, Lekue, Eraso, Susaeta, Aduriz. (4-2-3-1)

Sevilla: Soria, Escudero, Kolodziejczak, Rami, Coke, N'Zonzi, Krychowiak, Krohn-Dehli, Banega, Reyes, Gameiro. (4-2-3-1)

Can we see Liverpool grabbing an away goal this evening? Personally, I'm going for Origi. Firmino is my usual pick for Liverpool this season, but his fitness is questionable going into this game (he's travelled with the team, but I'm not sure if he'll start or not)

I believe that Klopp's presence in Liverpool is actually their biggest ace before that game. He created that defense, he knows how to break it. So yes, BTS looks like reliable bet here, especially when we consider Liverpool are mostly focused in the UEL.

That's what I've gone for man. Cheers for the response! :)

SHAKHTAR DONETSK VS SEVILLA TIPS & PREDICTIONS

Sevilla come into this game in slightly patchy form. Prior to their 2-0 derby win against Real Betis on Sunday, they'd only won 1 of their previous 7 matches. Crucially that was a 2-1 win in Bilbao in the 1st Leg of their UEFA League Quarter-Final with Athletic and even though they lost 2-1 at home in the return, they progressed on penalties and are still on course for what would be an incredible 3rd successive Europa League triumph. Their away from has been awful this season though and they are yet to win on the road in the league and hadn't won any of their European away games either until that win at San Mames.

Shakhtar continue to play every game away from Donetsk due to the troubles in Eastern Ukraine and they have been beaten 4 times at home in their adopted home in L'viv this season and struggled in a tough Champions League group which included PSG and Real Madrid. However they have looked very assured in this competition comfortably seeing off Schalke, Anderlecht and Sporting Braga to reach this stage, winning 5 of the 6 legs and drawing the other. They've only lost 1 of their last 14 home games in this competition but have only managed draws in their last two domestic matches to fall further behind Dynamo Kiev in the title race.

This game has the potential for goals. Sevilla will be hungry for an away goal and both teams have scored in 6 of their last 7 matches in all competitions. Shakhtar will see this as their best chance of winning the tie so will be positive and look to take a healthy advantage to the 2nd leg given the disparity between Sevilla's home and away from. The Spaniards have conceded in 21 of their 28 away matches this season and it's hard to see them shutting a lively Shakhtar attack out for 90 minutes so consider backing both teams to score at 8/11.

Villarreal's goalless draw at home to Real Sociedad on Sunday extended their winless streak to three matches, following on from a disappointing defeat to Rayo Vallecano and an expected loss at the Bernebau.

This means they are without a win since their visit to Prague in the Europa League quarter finals. However, they certainly showed their worth in Europe in that clash as they beat Sparta Prague 4-2 away from home, taking their aggregate victory to 6-3.

They will need a pick up a couple more La Liga results if they want to maintain their standing in the table. The 20 point gap between them and 3rd placed Real Madrid is obviously out of the question, but with just four points between them and 5th placed Celta Vigo they can't afford to remain winless for the remainder of the season.

Liverpool's Europa League quarter final was a little closer than Villarreal's. They clashed with Jurgen Klopp's former club Borussia Dortmund, and after a respectable 1-1 draw in Dortmund all hell broke loose at Anfield.

Dortmund started off at a breakneck speed as they scored two goals within the first ten minutes to leave Liverpool needing three goals to qualify for the semi finals. It looked an impossible task against the emphatic Germans, but Divock Origi gave them hope shortly after half-time before Marco Reus snatched it away again ten minutes later.  They entered the final 25 minutes needing three goals without return, and even a famous European night at Anfield couldn't boost morale much in the stands. Phillipe Coutinho notched to make it 3-2, with Mamadhou Sakho drawing level ten minutes later. Fellow centre back Dejan Lovren got a famous goal in injury time to send Liverpool through.

This ridiculous comeback was the start of a good run of form for Liverpool, but their four match winning streak ended on Saturday as Newcastle earned a 2-2 draw at Anfield.

Liverpool are in excellent scoring form at the moment. They have notched 15 goals in their last five outings in all competitions, whilst Villarreal have managed two goals in four of their last five home matches.

I'm expecting both sides to find the net at least once on Thursday. Liverpool haven't failed to score since a tie with Augsburg back in February, while Villarreal have found the net in eight of their last ten home matches. This makes o d d s of 1/1 for Both Teams
