Re: FA Cup > January 23rd - 25th Friday TV preview: 4pts Cambridge vs Man Utd - Over 3 goals 1.79 Unibet I’m sure Cambridge are going to give this a real go even if it means they take a beating. That is probably the way to go in fairness because you wouldn’t expect them to be able to contain this United attack but we’ve seen all season that you can exploit them defensively and one thing Cambridge do manage to do is attack in numbers and with pace. With all that in mind I fancy we’ll see a few goals here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/cambridge-vs-man-utd-betting-fourth-round-can-begin-with-a-number-of-goals

Re: FA Cup > January 23rd - 25th Saturday TV previews: 4pts Blackburn vs Swansea - Both teams to score 3/4 BetVictor Two out of form sides meet here but Blackburn should take plenty of belief into this match with them. Swansea’s once strong defence hasn’t kept a clean sheet in their last nine and Blackburn do have goals in them. Blackburn don’t keep a lot of clean sheets either and Swansea do at least have plenty of pace up top to open sides up so both teams to score looks the way to go here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/blackburn-vs-swansea-betting-both-sides-can-find-the-net-in-saturday-s-opener 3pts Liverpool to win by 1 goal 3/1 Ladbrokes With having nothing to lose Bolton can provide tricky opposition for Liverpool, especially if the Reds decide to rest a few for the second leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final, but in the end I would expect Liverpool to find enough to come through this match although I don’t see them running away with it. Rather than chance any handicaps taking Liverpool to win by the one goal could provide best value. Re: FA Cup > January 23rd - 25th Thought i would finally put up a post. But with know team news yet on the Preston v Sheffield United game it's hard to put a bet on. With Prestons home record an with Sheffield United after playing last night against Spurs it doesn't give them much time to have a rest with this game only a few days away. Also they play spurs again on Wednesday night. I'm thinking they have a chance off getting to the final. An with the squad being light I could see them resting players against Preston. It could be a great chance for Preston to get threw to the next round. Preston home win 11/10 local bookmaker

Re: FA Cup > January 23rd - 25th I know i've been constantly tipping UTD to concede but i think the fairy tale for Cambridge is ending here.UTD will have too much for them no matter what starting eleven Van Gaal fileds.I think Falcao and Shaw might start,as well as RVP which will be enough to see off the home side.United's defence have been critices these days and they really need a clean sheet in order to calm down.Cambridge will be looking at this game as an oppotunity to be on TV but nothing more.Yeovil gave the 'Red Devils'a hard time but they decided the game with 2 late goals.I hope Di Maria starts today because UTD really need his speed and creativity.I doubt this game to be a blown out but i have no doubt the favourite will go through and score at least one before the HT.So my bets are as follows:UTD\UTD Ht\FT @ 1.5 with high stakes;UTD to win & under 3.5 @ evens and a sporting punt on 0:2 Correct Score @ 6 all with bet365.GL!

Re: FA Cup > January 23rd - 25th Sunday TV previews: 3pts Bristol City to beat West Ham 3/1 Bet365 I’m not altogether convinced that West Ham will have this all their own way. Bristol City are a perfectly competent side who have nothing to lose here so they can throw everything at the Hammers. If West Ham aren’t up for this for whatever reason they could easily be turned over against a side who can be physical when they need to be. Given the form they are in Bristol City could be worth a go here. I’m not sure it is in Arsene Wenger’s make up to be organised and hard to beat against inferior opposition. On the other side Brighton are on the rise and they have nothing to lose so you would imagine they will send men forward in search of an upset so that should set up an open game where over 2.5 goals are scored. Re: FA Cup > January 23rd - 25th Cambridge vs Manchester United – Both Teams To Score @ 2.20 Marathonbet This is a knockout game for the 4th round of the FA Cup between Cambridge United and Manchester United. Of course, visitors are the favorites to win and progress. Any other result would be a massive surprise. But have in mind that hosts wait the chance to play against ManU in order to show some skills and gain psychology. It is a team of League Two, three levels below Manchester United. The team of Louis Van Gaal didn’t concede a goal at its 3/5 last away matches for all competitions and all of these five matches have combined with Under 2.5. Visitors will play with many changes tonight, so I count on the enthusiasm of Cambridge in order to score a goal.

Re: FA Cup > January 23rd - 25th The results this round seem very, very dubious Cardiff - Reading HT/FT 1/2 Middlesboro beat Man City Tottenham - Leicester HT/FT 1/2 Southampton - Crystal Palace 2-3 (all goals scored in the first half) Man United fail to beat Cambridge And the best so far: Chelsea Bradford HT 2-1 FT 2-4 All of these strange results come at once. The magic of the FA Cup, or results determined not on the football field.

yep I quite agree, clearly the players at chelsea and manchester city arent making enough that they have to make a few quid on the side by throwing an FA Cup game as your post implies not so subtley stop letting your pocket speak for you. everybody lost this week and it happens move on

Re: FA Cup > January 23rd - 25th 4pts Rochdale vs Stoke - Both teams to score 1.88 Unibet Stoke are fancied to win this match but for some reason it appears Mark Hughes is going to rotate his side here which could annoy me like you wouldn’t believe were I a Stoke fan. The rotation worked in the previous round but we shouldn’t forget that Wrexham took the lead against them so that suggests Stoke are vulnerable here. Rochdale are likely to have a go in front of a full house on a big night for the club so the chances of both sides scoring look fairly high to me. Re: FA Cup > January 23rd - 25th All these teams losing has just brought the cup that much closer to Arsenal and their expectations of retaining the trophy shot up over night. --Bristol played in midweek where Arsenal didn't --Arsenal need this cup run more than Brighton who are only a few points above the relegation zone in League 1 --Arsene is getting players back and seeing some form at the same time --Arsenal won't win the PL but 4th and another FA Cup can be seen as a successful season to build on. --They believe they are very capable of beating both Liverpool and Man U in 90 mins. Let's hope Wenger doesn't do anything stupid with the selections... Photo-2.png

Re: FA Cup > January 23rd - 25th Sunday 25th Jan 16.00 Brighton v Arsenal Brighton score well on recent shots on target figures compared with Arsenal. I think they look too long at odds of over 7.0. Although a division lower, I don't think they should be priced at those odds at home. Brighton +1AH 2.14 Marathon Stake: 3 points

Re: FA Cup > January 23rd - 26th FA Cup: Rochdale -Stoke City I see this as largely similar to yesterday's Bristol City- West Ham United game, the EPL team will be very motivated as they look comfortable in the league, with no relegation issues and this is a good opportunity to win a major trophy. Dale are not quite as good as Bristol City , but not far off and are not your typical League 1 side, they play very atractive, creative football under Keith Hill and will be looking to outplay the Potters on the ground. City themselves are very far removed from the team of 2-3 years ago and look to play the right way, we have two teams who are quite similar, Dale are a "Mini- Me" version of the Premier League side, but do not do it quite so well and as we often discuss, are not quite as fit as their top flight counterparts. That is more true now than in the past, in general terms, teams are fitter the higher up the ladder you go, although we can still see the odd shock, like on Saturday. I expect an away win, but want a little more than -1 ball 2.17. Hosts have scored 69% of home league goals before the break and also scored the only goal of the game early ( 12 mins) here against Nottingham Forest in the previous round. Dale have conceded a L1 high 11 goals in the last 15 minutes of all games and I see City taking charge of this after maybe riding an early onslaught and to eventually win by a goal or two. 1.5 units Stoke City -0.75 ball as soon as the quote reaches 2.10 as long as they are not already leading and we are playing 11 v 11.
