Re: Vanarama Conference 6th September Barnet to win against Alfreton with a handicap of -1 looks like a good offering at odds of 51/50 at 888 Sport. And SkyBet offer 5/4 for Barnet to win to nil. Just for reference, Barnet are presently top of the league with Alfreton rock bottom. The away team have lost all three of their games on their travels thus far, conceding twelve in the process and scoring none in reply. The hosts, meanwhile, have kept two out of three clean sheets at home so far, and scored at a rate of over two a game. I imagine Barnet can win this with some ease and comfort: perhaps two or three nil.

Re: Vanarama Conference 6th September Grimsby should have no problems to see off Welling side.Grimsby have scored 14 in 3 games!!! when nobody expected them to.They are back at home after they were defeated by Aldershot. Now they will be double motivated to back on the winning track and the opponent is more than convenient.Welling are terrible on the road concedeing 9 in 3.I think it's an obvious bet and i will take them in a double with Barnet. 1\1 HT\FT on both.Bet365 offers 3.85 for the double.

Re: Vanarama Conference 6th September Barnet v Alfreton I am naturally pleased with the start one of my ante-post bets Barnet have made to the season and a bit embarrassed by the fact I put Alfreton up to finish in the top half given how hopeless they have been so far this season. They can’t defend to save their lives at the moment and given Barnet have been scoring for fun, whilst at the same time only conceding one goal it is hard to see how this well be anything but an easy home win. Even money is available about the -1 handicap, but I am going to be bolder and just tip up the -2 which is 13/5 with Paddy Power as I can see Barnet getting at least three. Halifax v Aldershot Both sides will be very pleased with their starts to the season, especially the home side who were unfortunate to drop their first points of the season on Saturday. Grimsby may have been down to ten men, but even so it was a cracking effort to beat Grimsby last weekend and I think the bookies have under-estimated Aldershot’s chances here. I don’t think Halifax will stay in title contention and can see these two teams finishing around the same position in the league, which makes BetVictor’s 18/5 worth an interest. Treble I must admit some of the trebles I have put up this season have been woeful, but this one looks pretty solid. I have already mentioned Barnet and Gloucester above and they are obviously going straight in the treble. The other team is Grimsby who host Welling. Granted Welling got a good draw against Forest Green last weekend, but they have conceded three in each of their three away games scoring just one in the process. I certainly can’t see Grimsby conceding to Alfreton and given they have started scoring they should get the one needed to win at the very least. The treble pays around 2.2/1 with bwin and BetVictor.

Re: Vanarama Conference 6th September This is an on the hop preview so sorry if it is not structured and the grammar is appalling and its written like a hyperactive 5 year old but I wanted to get a detailed preview submitted in a rush! Dover I think are a slightly better side than Telford and have a better squad. Ignoring the match against Woking which was simply a bad day at the office, (I watched the match and Dover had the ball in the net 3 times (2 disallowed goals) and two penalties turned down). Woking are a good side and where due to give a team a thrashing at home. Dover have played better teams than Telford and set up well away from home. Dovers defence has been the issue + muscle in midfield but with the signings of Tom Bonner from Cambridge and Connor Essam from Crawley they have strengthened considerably as well as adding Solomon Taiwo from Luton on loan for a to toughen up a skilful but weak midfield physically. Dover have also signed Ricky Miller from Luton on loan who was last seasons Conference North top goal scorer with 28 goals for Boston and Luton have high hopes for him but he may not start as he has had an injury. I have seen (Stefan Payne who scored 38 goals for Hornchurch last season) twice this season and he looks sharp and hungry for goals. Nathan Elder had the ball in the back of the net twice (Both disallowed against Woking) once against Eastleigh and had chances to score against Kidderminster in the last game Dover played at home, he is due some more goals. Dover now have a better defence and strengthened midfield and will see this trip to Telford as a chance for three points. This season, Dover have lost 1-0 at home to a good side in Halifax, lost 3-0 away at Braintree, drew 1-1 away at a strong Grimsby side, beat a strong Eastleigh side (Dover having 10 men most of the match) 2-1. Lost 6-1 away at Woking but showed attacking intent but shoddy defending (Hence the 2 new league defender signings) and 0-1 at home to Kidderminster. After Kidderminster Taiwo, Essam and Miller signed on. Tom Bonner played in the Kidderminster game and was a great addition. Telford at home conceded have 3 goals to Southport (3-3) 2 goals to Aldershot (0-2) and three goals to Macclesfield (2-3) while losing away to Bristol Rovers (1-0) and Dartford last week (2-1) Dover have Sean Raggett suspended in defence who may not have started the match anyway with the new signings who will play. Ricky Modeste is a big miss for them and his absence will be felt. Telford have Godfrey Poku suspended who I feel is a big miss for them and Mike Grogan and Charlie Barnett injured but they have signed Josh O'Keefe from Kidderminster on loan. Phenix is the dangerman for Telford. Im sure Telford will see this as a winnable game but with Dovers now stronger defence and Telfords leaky defence I hope that Dover set themselves up in a game for wily old fox Chris Kinnear to take the three points back to the Kent coast. I think the odds on Dover are too long for this one and the new signings can improve the side enough to win this match. It may be tight but Dover can edge it. To me Dover at 23/10 for the win and 8/11 Double Chance with Bet 365 are worth a dabble, just don't put them in your main accumulators, im not taking the blame!

Re: Vanarama Conference 6th September I've taken the three bets I shortlisted above. Dover, is well reasoned above. 3,4 with Pin. Macclesfield 2.88 with Pin. Purely a form pick, don't think Chester deserve to be favourites even if they are showing improvement. Lincoln, not a bad side and if they can keep 11 on the field they'll give Woking a game. 3.8 with Pin.

Re: Vanarama Conference 6th September Taken over 2.5 goals in Eastleigh-Southport, where the away side nearly always have a go on their travels. Reminds me of the 3-1 FT when Southport visited Halifax...big favorite who can score in bunches at home, away side who don't always defend well and are always on their front foot. A lot of cliches, but 1.83 is a decent price at 5dimes.
