Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 Wolves - Colchester / Workington - North Ferriby League 1 England / Conference North Tuesday 25/3 20:45 Prediction: Double: Wolves + North Ferriby Odds: 1,95 Stake: 5/10 units Bookmaker: Bwin Solid double. Wolves at one the road to promotion, strong at home. Colchester nothing special, weak away and they are up fr a tough afternoon away to Wolves. Workington bottom of Conference North ,horrendous form, injuries to key players at home to North Ferriby placed 2nd with good form, a team that has scored more than double the goals Workington has scored. Solid double in our eyes.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 I like Bath at Havant tomorrow night. Whilst Bath's run of 3 wins have admittedly come against Chelmsford, Dorchester & Maidenhead, they did draw with Bromley & Ebbsfleet prior to them, and they will face a Havant team having their 10th match in 25 days. 2/1 available at BetVictor looks generous, I'd make them slight faves on a 9/5 - 12/5 - 13/10 book Sent from my GT-I9300 using PL Forum

The funny thing is the busy run of games hasn't really stopped them from a decent run of form. Not saying Bath won't win, but teams with these busy schedules don't seem to be struggling as much as you would expect this season. Both teams bang in the play-off hunt as well and the game looks too close to call for me.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 Monday TV preview: 4pts Halifax vs Alfreton - Under 2.5 goals 6/5 BetVictor When you look at this game on the face of it you’d think there has to be goals but only one of Alfreton’s last four away games have seen more than 2.5 goals and that was at Luton when they were in their rampant mood. Even then it needed a massive error from the keeper to bring a third goal. In that game Alfreton showed no intent to play a game of football, they set out purely to spoil the game. Richard Money said similar after their recent game at Cambridge and having not conceded in three of their last four on the road you’d have to say Alfreton pull off those tactics pretty well. I would expect similar tactics here with Halifax’s home form demanding respect so I’ll chance under 2.5 goals here. Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 Not loads for this session but I've taken Oxford City away at Leamington - a best now of 10/3 but still takeable. Leam's squad are stuttering to the end of the season and they've only one win in 13 since New Year's Day. They are a better side waiting to get out, I think, but they are misfiring and don't look particularly bothered at the moment. Oxford City rarely do anything away, and were soundly beaten by Telford on Saturday, but performances have been a touch better away with some new bodies coming into the squad, and they are overpriced for this one. I also like BG's shout on Gloucester at Histon - the home side are very inexperienced at the moment, and though they did well to get a point against Leamington, and had moments away at Telford, Gloucester look to have too much an edge of experience. 27/20 is best priced now; my own price is 11/10.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 Halifax is a difficult place to go, and they have proven themselfs to be a tough nut to crack at home this season. However, can help to feel Alfreton look's quite big today? Are we up for a surprise?

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 One spread trade I like tonight: a buy of Godfrey Poku's player goal minutes at 3 with Spreadex. He's hardly prolific, though he has been operating with some success across Alfreton's midfield and he's been getting forward too and having the odd punt at goal. There's very little downside to the trade and there's a potential scenario where he's getting forward later in the game if Alfreton are chasing a result. I have to say I'm not fully trusting of either defence.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 Halifax - Alfreton. Conference National For ordinary citizens this match one of those "dark forest", but for the Conference is one of the most anticipated events not knowingly BT Sport will broadcast the meeting live. After Saturday's matches Halifax climbed to 10th place in the table, only 3 points off the playoffs. Team before this meeting there is a series of 3 victories in a row, but in general, Halifax 2nd best attack with 71 league goals pocketed. And Lee Gregory is the second top scorer with 24 scored. Halifax also plays very powerfully in his field , winning 13 of 18 home games this season and suffered just one defeat. Alfreton , in turn, goes to 2nd place and also has a series of 3 victories in a row, that is, will match the two contenders for the playoffs , and in the Conference of the games are rarely without goals scored, and more for the team in good gaming forms. Average home games Halifax clogged 3.61 goals, and Over (2.5) played 12 of the 18 meetings. Away Alfreton hammered 2.75 goals, and O (2.5) played 13 out of 20 meetings. Regarding the composition , then for the hosts out of the game forward Ryan Toulson (16 games , 1 goal), which has long been injured and this season no longer play. But, as we have noted above , in the team Lee Gregory (27 games , 24 goals) , who scored 10 goals in the last 8 meetings. As for the guests , then there are out of the game defenders Darren Kempson (6 games), Chris Westwood (21 games , 2 goals), Michael Wylde (4 games) and midfielder John McGrath (22 games , 1 goal). 02.11.13 Alfreton - Halifax 3:0 (2:0) First-round match took one wicket , but today waiting for a more equal game , but goals are expecting no less than in last November. Over 2,75 Goals at 1.89 Sbobet

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 A speculative play on tonight's game is both teams to have a player sent off tonight at 50/1 with Paddys. They let me have 83p on but some of you might get more. Red cards are much more likely in live games in the Conference they are up around 60% so seems daft not to chuck a few pence in my case at it. The 4/1 on there being a red card in the game is obviously worth taking as well.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 As for our game tomorrow I will more than likely be backing us, but one slight word of caution is we looked a bit leggy on Saturday and Stalybridge probably should have got something from the game. As long as I feel better I should be at the game tomorrow and hoping for better than the dross we served up when we played them at their place last year.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27

They could be interesting against Luton on Saturday.
That's interesting. I was watching that quite encouraged about Saturday if I'm honest. Not seen a side with so much space between defence and midfield for a long time. If we can get the ball to the likes of Cullen, Pelly or Rooney in those areas I'd be very confident of some goals. Might be high scoring like the game down here but certainly not a game I'm fearing as much as I was when I was judging it purely on their home statistics.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 Histon v Gloucester Although like I say above I am slightly worried we looked a bit leggy on Saturday and Charlie Griffin came off because he was tired, I still expect us to have too much for Histon. The youngsters are showing plenty of fight, but I would expect our players to put up more of a test than a Leamington side who didn't even manage a shot until an hour into the game. Amazingly we could have around 50 fans going to the game tonight so I would fully expect the players to want to put on a performance and Griffin really is on fire at the moment. Billericay v Maidstone Three Ryman Prem games appeal. Maidstone are in dreadful form at the moment and their only win in their last six came against a just as ropey Dulwich. They have lost their other five and with Billericay in decent enough form at the moment they are worth backing. Hampton & Richmond v East Thurrock Hampton are another side who have lost 5 and won just one of their last six and this time the win came against awful Bury. East Thurrock have scored 9 in their last two games putting 3 past Maidstone and then on Saturday a staggering 6 past Hendon. If they continue that sort of form they can pick up another three points in their fight against relegation. Margate v Met Police Terry Brown didn't quite have the instant impact on Margate that I thought he would, but he seems to be getting there as they look towards next season. Signing Jefferson Louis from Hendon seems to have had a big effect and he scored two in an impressive victory against Lowestoft on Saturday. That followed a victory over Billericay and I think they can continue the run against Met Police.

Obviously will wait and see what happens tonight, but I would be happier to oppose than be with you at the moment.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 I'm not so sure that was the case really. We could've had 4 or 5 before we scored but for the keeper making a few saves and a couple of blocks and chances falling to people like Henry and Griffiths etc etc. I always thought the goal was coming and while it was fortunate when it did come it was no surprise more followed. I think people are beginning to expect maybe a bit too much of us. Sometimes it is hard to break a side down when they have no intent but to slow the game down and spoil the tempo etc etc but eventually in the 90 minutes more often than not we'll manage it. One thing is for sure on the evidence of tonight Halifax aren't going to be too tough to break down. We'll create chances it is just whether we take them. And of course keeping them out at the other end but if it turns into a shootout I'd fancy our chances :ok

I was at the Margate match on Saturday and they scored three fantastic goals, two my Jefferson Louise - in saying that, Lowestoft were very poor and rarely troubled Margate, who by their own supporters admission, have an iffy defence. The Met are a strange one - I've seen them line-up with 5 across the back - if they do, then goals could be at a premium. If the Met score first, then they could well shut-up shop.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 Braintree - Nuneaton Town On Thursday, Braintree is going to have to play their 6th game in 15 days. Isn't there a value in the away win in these curcumstances? I'm asking because I have no idea what football is like at this level, and how much of a factor the dense schedule is.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 Thursday TV previews: 3pts Southport to beat Forest Green 16/5 Bet365 Forest Green are in great form but Southport’s record against the top sides in this division at Haig Avenue can’t be a co-incidence so something is going to have to give in this one. Both sides really need the points but Southport is a tough place to go at the best of times let alone this stage of the season. Forest Green just look a little short to me here so at a value price Southport are the call here. I wouldn't want to back a team purely based on the amount of games they have played. Doesn't seem to be affecting teams that much. Team news could be interesting as Braintrees manager has said he would play kids at some point but this is a big game with both teams aiming at the playoffs. I wouldn't be betting on the game at this stage. Sent from my GT-I8190N using PL Forum

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27

On the evidence of Tuesdays game addpea are histon worth opposing until the end of the season?
I think they will pick up more points as they try hard and if they play a team like Leamington who can't be bothered then they have the capability of beating them. We had that little bit more quality than them though and that made the difference.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Mar 24-27 Just one spread trade on the live match tonight so far - a buy of Yamen Osawe's player goal minutes at 8 with Sporting. He drives the left-hand side of Southport's attacking play, and is doing it with plenty of threat at the moment; he perhaps isn't the calmest finisher in the squad but he has a reasonably healthy scoring record and he likes to get involved up front (more so than right winger John O'Sullivan, who is 6 to buy). Should they be chasing the game he could very likely find himself up front; there's even an outside chance he might start there. It's a tricky call tonight, but I think Kevhat is right to see value in Southport: even the most imaginative FGR fan must admit the teams are much closer together than the prices suggest. The key missing player for me tonight is Marcus Kelly, who has been making FGR tick in recent weeks. They have plenty of cover in this area but no one who can probe, find space and keep the engine running as well as he can.
