Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th Dinamo Zagreb v PSV Well I placed this bet yesterday a couple of hours before Dinamo sacked their coach! :lol Ivanković has overseen some pretty terrible performances in the league and Europa League, sporting director Zoran Mamić has taken over the team until an appointment can be made. This match will be played without any Zagreb fans in the stadium after racist chanting, not sure how much difference that will make as the attendances have been pretty poor for a while. I've not been watching PSV as much this season but I'm well aware of the squad transformation that took place over the summer, in short the side is now young and quite inexperienced, for this game they will be missing Karim Rekik and usual starters Park Ji-Sung, Georginio Wijnaldum, gk Jeroen Zoet and Bakkali. In contrast Narsingh comes back into the squad for the first time in nearly a year after a serious knee injury and may get some minutes off the bench. Their squad depth is not what it was but looking at it they will be able to cover these missings, we might see Jozefzoon get a start in place of Bakkali. It will be interesting to see how Dinamo approach the game under the new coach, their confidence will probably be pretty fragile as their performances have been bad for a long time now. Midfielder Said Husejinović did his knee ligaments in the match at the weekend and will be out for 6 months, I read about Sammir's contract dispute but I see he started at the weekend so guess this has been resolved. PSV's defence has improved from the shambolic state it was in last year, they lost to Groningen at the weekend despite having most of the play from the small amount of the match I watched, and were punished on the counter, the Groningen coach admitted they were lucky after the game. I hope Zagreb play with a bit more confidence under the new manager and try and take the game to PSV because I don't think the Zagreb defence is very strong and PSV should certainly be able to cause some damage on the counter, they still have good players like Maher, Toivonen and Locadia. The injuries might put some people off but the only new injury is Bakkali and from what I've read on the PSV forums his form has dropped off lately after his swift emergence, and they are hoping Narsingh's return to fitness might take some of the pressure off him, I struggle to see a Zagreb win however the game pans out the 'new coach factor' is a worry but he only has a day and a half with the team so doesn't have any time to work on anything, I think a tight PSV is the most likely result so I'm happy to play with some draw cover too. PSV -0.25AH - 1.84 - pinnacle - 10 Points (best price 1.89 betvictor)

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th Swansea v Kuban Krasnodar I also like Swansea tomorrow but I don't think it's a play that needs to be made prior to kick-off. They are playing Kuban' Krasnodar who have lost both their games so far to St Gallen 2-0 and Valencia 0-2, replaced coach Dorinel Munteanu with BATE Borisov boss Viktor Goncharenko last week but he didn't enjoy a good start as they lost 3-1 to Dinamo Moscow at the weekend having two players sent off. Swansea enjoyed a good 4-0 win over Sunderland at the weekend and a win in this game will virtually qualify them for the next stage, Laudrup has named strong sides for all their qualifiers so far and I expect him to do the same again, Shelvey was rested at the weekend and will come straight back in, Davies is out for 4 weeks but they have plenty of cover in his position. Kuban have had a wretched campaign so far and I can see them coming to Swansea and playing pretty deep with just Cisse or Balde up front and pretty much a standard 4-5-1. Worth noting that both of their 2-0 losses were 0-0 at HT and again I can see Swansea struggling to break them down. The best -1.0AH price so far is 1.8 at 10bet, I'm willing to wait for the in-play markets to rise to at least evens and then have a play depending on how the match is going, this is obviously a slightly risky tactic but it's usual for Russian sides to be difficult to break down and Swansea rarely blow teams away at home so I think it's a calculated risk.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th I am agree with you HastGill1. I follow Croatian league and this is the weakest Dinamo in last 10 years. Coach is sacked, everyone is against their president and players are playing very poor specially their best player Sammir whos picture are in almost every tabloid showing him partying and drinking. New coach is Zoran Mamic ( brother of president) who is also said that team play worst as he know. PSV as you said with couple misses but still with decent team: Tyton, Bertrams, Van Leer; Zanka, Bruma, Schaars, Toivonen, Maher, Matavz, Locadia, Arias, Jozefzoon, Willems, Narsingh, Van Ooijen, Depay, Brenet, Hiljemark, Tamata and Hendrix. I will go with straight PSV win @ 2.05 at local bookies.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th I watched kuban v motherwell a few months back (august 8th) and kuban were woeful they could barely beat a motherwell b team and if they are playing with the same players, they will lose badly imo,you may think a game on august 8th has little relevance but i cant stress enough how bad they were, this was the team-belenov, xandao, angel dealbert, kozlov, tsoraev, tlisov, kabore, sosnin, bugaev, marcos urena, ibrahima balde,subs-zhavnerchik,and cisse who we all know is decent.if that same team turns up tomorrow then i cant see anything other than an easy swansea win.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th Paulinho, Kyle Walker and Andros Townsend have been left in London for Spurs, not injured just rested, no big deal Villas-Boas has done similar in previous away games in Europe..Don't really know anything about Sheriff, know they normally punch above their weight in Europe considering they are representing Moldova. Spurs odds are too low to consider a bet (imo), they obviously will want to win but a draw would be no problem at all they are going to qualify regardless. Lennon is likely to start as he steps up his return from injury, imagine he will be keen to make an impression as Townsend has taken his position and seems to have come from nowhere to suddenly become England's latest saviour :lol..

I still think Kuban will frustrate them though, my gut instinct says it's the wrong decision to play this.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th Its really do or die here for Legia Warsaw in turkey after losing the opening 2 games. And I think they will die. Trabzbonspor look very backable at 1.83. Turkish league is a tough league and certainly a level above the Polish league. i see a comfortable home win here

man i wont be so sure about this because odds are just too low, " new" coach is not new becasue he was coach for 2 games already this season after krno jurcic was sacked, he is dinamos sports director and he was on dinamos bench for last 5 season and before that he played for dinamo for 2 seasons , he knows all the players and all squad well, sammirs contract is still a problem like it was for last 6 months he is good player but not in a form from last year... everyone in zagreb are maxing their bet with psv win but this team at maksimir can show alot and psv isnt just that good for my money i will rather try a small bet on dinamo or bts in my sistem because u never know how will " new" coach make his debut, just another fact he isnt really menager there is 3 of them and this is likely be a very interesting match to watch

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th GENK –RAPID Belgian Genk are in top form, both in their national championship and in Euroleague.Today they have a great chance to settle the issue of getting through the group after only three rounds, which will then enable them to turn their attention to the championship and further advance in ranking there. Rapid Vienna, a team with lots of ups and downs this season, are in their way. They are in constant trouble this season, conceding naive goals and getting injuries of their main players. Those details might be a big strength for Genk, who are unforgiving in their own stadium lately, and Rapid will hardly be an exception. The home team will surely be in the offensive mood, trying to quickly score and break through the solid bunker of the Vienna team. Should they manage to succeed, they will have a much easier job in the rest of the game. Genk are technically a better team than Rapid, all their midfielders and forwards are individually strong on the offense, while with Burgstaller and the long injured Alar missing for Rapid the only creative force remaining is 34-year-old captain Hofmann. That would not suffice to parry Genk even in a home game, let alone away. This match smells like Genk dominating, with Rapid trying to defend and score from fast counterattacks. However, with all the weaknesses the Vienna team defense have displayed this year, the home team have a much better chance of achieving their goals and reaching a third consecutive victory that will verify their superiority in this group. Bet: 1 Odds: 1.74 (Marathon)

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th Wigan will be without midfielder Shaun Maloney for the Europa League Group D game with Russian side Rubin Kazan. The Scotland international will be out for a further three months after being told he needs hip surgery. Defender Stephen Crainey could return after four games out with a neck injury, while striker Grant Holt is in line to make his European debut after a recovering from a knee injury. Rubin are top of the group with six points, with Wigan second. The Latics, on four points, are three clear of third-placed Zulte Waregem. Goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi and defenders Ivan Ramis and Gary Caldwell are not registered for the Europa League.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th Red Bull Salzburg - Standard Liege Not only do FC Salzburg have to cope without Stefan Hierländer for up to four months after the midfielder's knee surgery, but Jonatan Soriano is set for a spell on the sidelines. FC Salzburg have been deprived of midfielder Stefan Hierländer for four months as well as in-form striker Jonatan Soriano who is struggling with an ankle injury. Former Austrian youth international Hierländer went under the knife earlier today in an attempt to solve a recurring knee problem. The 22-year-old, whose absence will stretch into the new year, will be joined on the sidelines by Soriano after the Spaniard damaged ligaments in his right ankle during training on Tuesday.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th Also regarding Fiorentina, they're on a back of a 4-2 win against Juve having been 0-2 down. I think Montella and the club are taking the competition seriously this year, I seem to remember the last time they were in the competition they got to the Semi Finals.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th Swansea getting way too short now. Best to just hope for it to be nil-all about 25 mins in where hopefully i can get $1.70 or something and multi it with say Arsenal or a rugby game or whatever. Being 11 hours in front of the UK it's not ideal for me and it'll be back to bed if swansea happen to get 1 or 2 up before i get a chance to lay.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th

Dinamo Zagreb v PSV Well I placed this bet yesterday a couple of hours before Dinamo sacked their coach!
Don't completely agree with you when you are stating that the PSV squad is not that strong in depth. In midfield for example they have several options with Schaars, Hiljemark, Wijnaldum, Toivonen, Maher and Park. Park and Wijnaldum will be out like you stated, but still they have 6 midfielders which are of a similar level. Upfront is the same story, Depay will play on the left while in the center either Matavz of Locadia will play. Also two players of a similar level. On the right it will be Jozefzoon or Narsingh who are both of a similar level as Bakkali. Not necessarily the same type of players, but the squad isn't weakened. In goal it will be Polish international Tyton who is also not that much worse than Jeroen Zoet. In the center of the defense, Henrikx will play instead of Rekik. Rekik is better but Henrikx is doing pretty well as a centerback. Edit: About this game: I think it's difficult because the stadium will be empty and stuff is happening at the Zagrebs side with the replacement of the coach.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th Anzhi v Tromso 17.00 Home 1.77 Away 6.0 Both sides struggling domestically and in Europe. This feels a bit like an unders game with possible value on unders or Tromso. I don't like backing unders or overs goals, but both sides seem to struggle to score and the unders odds are higher than they should be for me ... Under 2.5 1.78 BetVictor

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th Trabzonspor vs Legia Warsaw Trabzonspor looks like a clear favourite on paper. Florent Malouda alone earns more than the whole Legia's 11. Legia won only against one team this season in Europe - the New Saints. If Apollon can beat them away, Trabzon employing the likes of Bosingwa, Malouda, Zokora and Mierzejewski will defeat them at home with ease. Legia's players simply don't have the technical / mental skills and the efficiency, not to mention physical endurance, of their counterparts. Legia will be missing their best midfielder and second goalscorer, Radović (injured + sick) and their even more indispensable player - goalkeeper Dusan Kuciak, who has saved them repeatedly this season. They lost at least a goal in the last 8 matches (11 total) and that trend will surely continue today in light of Kuciak's absence. The only missing player for Trabzon is Colman (4/0). Trabzon is aiming at 3 points and the fist place in the group here - and assuming Lazio defeats Apollon that will create a nice cushion of 4 points over the 3rd place for those two teams. I cannot see any other result than a home win. Trabzonspor -0.5 AH 1.77 @ Ladbrokes / Win 1.75 @ PaddyPower and @ Coral Trabzonspor -1 AH 2.15 @ Bet365 Good luck!

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday October 24th Group A Valencia v St Gallen 20.05 Home 1.57 Away 8.0 Apparently St Gallen were a bit unfortunate to lose 1-0 at Swansea in their last game, missing a penalty and a good break-away chance. St Gallen look too long here at 8.0 St Gallen +0.5 2.68 Pinnacle
