Darran
Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet Prem Apr 1 Nuneaton v Newport It is 1 win in the last 6 for Newport and they have failed to score against Gateshead and Newport in their last two games. They have had a pretty hetic schedule of late and given they aren't firing on the pitch anyway, I think it is worth taking a chance with a Nuneaton side who are giving themselves a real chance of beating the drop. I tipped them up against Grimsby a couple of weeks ago and mentioned then that they have been hard to beat at home all season so happy to take William Hills 21/10 about the home win. Stockport v Grimsby Grimsby are another team who have forgotten how to win a football game and having been favourites to win the title a few weeks ago they now find themselves in a real battle with Forest Green Rovers to remain in the final play-off place. Ian Bogie has got some improvement out of Stockport since he took over and they beat Newport last week so Grimsby wont hold any fears. BetVictor are 11/5 and I am more than happy to take that about a team who are a playing a side who have forgotten how to win. I am also going with a treble which pays 2.3/1 with Stan James. Forest Green host an already relegated AFC Telford and they should win without too many issues. Mansfield keep sneaking the wins and with Gateshead tough schedule catching up with them they should get another win on there way to the Blue Square Premier title. Finally in the Blue Square South Eastleigh should rack up another home win against Dorchester.
bromsgrovegreen
Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet Prem Apr 1 mansfield minus 1 for me against gateshead and also minus2 small stake around evens for minus 1 and 3-1 minus 2 same thoughts as addpea, mansfield much fresher, bigger squad, gateshead played last tues, thurs and sat whereas mansfield were resting on thursday night
Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet Prem Apr 1 Not much on the spreads for me today, but I've bought Barrow supremacy at 0.2 (Sporting). Hyde are on a brilliant run but they are up against a side that is defending well, if not always taking their chances. My thinking is that the downside is limited, but there is some upside potential if Barrow do manage to convert some of the chances they are creating, and that Hyde always allow the opposition a hatful. I've also bought Sean Marks' goal minutes at 21 with Sporting. No idea if he's playing today but if he starts he'll be rested and he'll certainly get chances against an Ebbsfleet side who were limp against FGR and who are having to digest the latest goings-on from their dysfunctional owners. Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet Prem Apr 1, 3-4 No joy on the spreads for me, with a small loss on Barrow - they only managed 8 shots on target today - and a 21pt loss on Marks' goal minutes. It's certainly BromsgroveGreen's day today, though, with a cracking couple of calls on the Mansfield handicaps.
bromsgrovegreen
Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet Prem Apr 1, 3-4 any thoughts on barrow at evens to beat ebbsfleet on wednesday evening ships and addpea? i dont normally like backing barrow for obvious reasons but with ebbsfleet almost certainly doomed and factoring in the midweek trek plus barrow desperately needing the points i am very tempted with the home win,the game will be inrunning at bet365 so maybe thats another option to consider

Totally agree with you and think evens is a pretty good price actually. I don't think the long journey has been factored into the price and given the tough schedule of late the last thing the players need is sitting on a coach for hours. Barrow are certainly showing more fight at the moment and like you say it looks like Ebbsfleet are down. Think Braintree are worth backing as well. Southport continue to lose despite showing some promise against Kidderminster the other week and bar a 3-0 defeat by Lincoln Braintree are playing well at the moment. They are playing much better but have an inability to take their chances which may cost them come the season end, though this is a must-win and they have the tools to do that. They should really have beaten ten-man Hyde on Saturday but they lacked the finishing power to take their chances. However, Hyde are in decent nick, and Ebbsfleet certainly aren't. They are travelling with a reasonably strong side, but part of their problem is the goings-on off the field - payments to players have been interrupted this month. It wouldn't be at all surprising to see them starting next season a step lower with a -10 against their name.
Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet Prem Apr 1, 3-4 I've bought Shaun Whalley's player goal minutes at 12 with Sporting. It's a little contrarian as he has been off the boil in recent weeks, but he remains a class player and he started on Monday up front. This probably isn't his best position, especially as Southport have gone very direct in recent weeks (to no discernible effect), but Braintree once again have a few defensive issues to sort out and I think he'll get a chance or two. allthethings
Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet Prem Apr 1, 3-4 Fleet to draw is 3.71...perfect for me, inflated by the "must win" nature of the game. Also taking the over 2.75 @ 2.06 (5dimes).
Darran
Apparently the Barrow game is going to kick off at 9.30 as ebbsfleet have not got there. They left at 11! Sent from my GT-I8190N using PL Forum
Darran
Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet Prem Apr 1, 3-4 That is poor from Barrow tonight that game had a home win written all over given the length of journey. Braintree threw in another one of their ropey efforts as well. Also Macclesfield have sacked Steve King which is bizarre. What exactly did they expect from him? Play-offs were always going to be tough and he got them to the 3rd round of the FA Cup. In my view he has done a pretty good job.

bartonbank
Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet Prem Apr 1, 3-4 I think Wrexham are favs because they are at home which is probably just about right. As a Wrexham fan I don't think it is! We were doing ok whilst we were firing in goals from all over the place as it covered up the fact that, apart from Danny Wright, we have no one who is going to get a load of goals. He then stops scoring, as do the rest of the team. Including the FA Trophy final we have only scored 1 goal in the last four games, and that was a penalty. Morrell signed Adebola on loan and, with him, Ormerod and Morrell himself, have 3 strikers in their mid or late 30's. Ormerod was never prolific, Adebola is as mobile as Stephen Hawking with a flat battery, and Morrell spends an awful lot of his time on the floor claiming free kicks that are never given. Since the FAT final he has started Cieslewicz after his barnstorming sub appearance then, but he has shown why he was being left out of the starting 11 in the first place by being inconsistent and appearing, at times on the pitch, uninterested. To be fair to him the pitch is a pudding at the moment though. The sad fact is that we have had forwards in the reserves who have been scoring for fun yet Morrell won't give them the chance. After the final the championship was in our own hands. Now it is pretty much out of sight and I hope he gives a couple of the youngsters a run out (lads called Rushton, Colbeck and Reid). If the starting XI has Wright with any two from Adebola, Morrell and Ormerod then I despair and would recommend a bet on Mansfield as, at the very least, they should be at the same odds as us. Darran
Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet Prem Apr 1, 3-4 I don't think Mansfield have been playing that well though, mainly been sneaking victories against the leser teams. hazarder
Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet Prem Apr 1, 3-4 As i said long time ago, Mansfield had a huge winning streak and had a game against Wrexham which was postponed luckily after they collected 9 wins in a trot. I expect Mansfield to drop points today. Large numbers. If they lose today, Kiddy will be on fire in Saturday.
