Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th Czech Republic-Bulgaria BTS I am tired of writing the same text again and again.BTS against Italy and Denmark and vs Armenia the guests had 2-3 good chances to score between 80th and 90th minutes.Svetoslav Dyakov and Gargorov will be back in our squad. We will play the same way we do it so far.I didn't see any change in our game plan against Italy,Armenia and vs Denmark till the red card.Home side drew in their first match in Copenhagen then lost a friendly game vs Finland and a home win against the weakest side in our group Malta which scored in Prague and now they will host us. I just can't see them sitting back and waiting. They will attack for sure. And we will concede for sure...Then we have to score and we will do it just how we do it so far.Malta can score so can we.I said BTS and a draw against Denmark i will say the same here.BTS and draw.gl

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th Even a team as mediocre as Ireland should be able to win away to the Faroes but I can see them making hard work of it. The team is playing terrible these days, the team sheet looks bang average now that the veterans are either retired/injured(Keane, Dunne, Duff/Given retired etc). I can certainly see the Faroes frustrating Ireland for spells, couldnt see Ireland winning by more than one or two max. Have to look at prices for different markets there.

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th My picks= Germany to beat Sweden Russia to beat Azerbaijan Spain to beat France Israel to beat Luxembourg 2.16 @ bet365 all these teams are players at home and in very good form, i cant see anything other than home wins. Swden struggled againt the Faroe Islands whereas Germany hammered Ireland away from home. Spain beat Belarus 4-0 and always up their game against 'tough' opposition, I don't think France (the team that lost at home to Japan in their last game) will cause much of a problem in Madrid. Russia have impressed so far in their wins against Northern Ireland, Israel and Portugal with the ability to score goals and keep clean sheets i can't imagine Azerbaijan getting anything in Moscow. Israel play Luxembourg again after already winning 6-0 away from home, it should be much of the same in Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th Found a couple of bets i'd like to share early with you guys. Belgium v Scotland [email protected] Betfair This is a no brainer and great odds for a home win. Belgium will steam roll the Scots. Belg are in such good form and will be too technical for the Scots. Belgium have some really good players now and are starting to creep up the Fifa Rankings chart. Faroe Islands v ROI LAY ROI 1.23 Not made my mind up quite yet on this one but I'm heading towards laying ROI in this match. Can't see ROI competing with Teams as good as F.Islands. I ca'nt see ROI coming away from here with 3 points in this match. Croatia v Wales 1 @ 1.36 I fancy Croatia to pinch all 3 points in this matchup. Wales pulled off a well deserved Win over the Scots but I feel they will come up short against a team as good as Croatia. Bale is a great player but he cant beat Croatia on his own. ROmania v Netherlands 2 @1.65 Fancy the Dutch to spank a poor Romanian side. The Dutch are capable of beating all the best Teams in the world, so anything other than 3 points would be viewed as a major blow.

as Mustafa said in the previous thread Faroe Islands play a decent football at home.It was hard for the Swedish team to win against them but succeed to scre 2 goals and win 1:2.I dont think it is a good idea to bet on Ireland especially when they are in such a form...and odds of 1.23 are you kidding...?Maybe +1AH for Faroe islands Same thing about Croatia.1.36 for a home win Wales managed to beat Scotland at jome by 2 late goals by Gale.I think Scotland most probably will win but i dont want to bet on 1.35 Romania won in Tukrey and now host Netherlands.Bucurest is an tough place to play at and it will be a tight game for sure.I think a draw will suit both teams here.Gl anywhere

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th I think England @ 2.00 look a very backable price. I'm not one to overhype England, they are still far from Top 6 material in my eyes and quite a few youngsters are being put in, and have to learn quickly. However, England will have a strong team out against Poland and as bad as England are in the finals of tournaments, their qualifying record is generally outstanding. I would have expected England to be around 1.60 for this match. It won't be easy, but I'd be surprised if they don't take the 3pts. 2.00 is only available at Skybet and Stan James now, backed in everywhere else.

Romania are no great shakes, and I doubt very much if Holland will see a draw as acceptable. Turkey were absolutely shocking against Romania - I've never seen a Turkey side play as bad as that. Romania are a tight unit, but they are still very average too.

When England played at home against Ukraine they were priced at 1.60. Do you honestly think that Poland is that bad and England should get the same price against them taking into account that they're playing away? I can agree that 2.00 looks very tempting, but anything below 1.80 sounds very risky, regardless of whether it would've been a surprise or not for the English to lose any points. Cheers, Mark

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th completely agree on England, already wrote a few words on that in the last thread yesterday Poland didnt surprise, they played the same tame football as always. I would say we are on the same level as Moldova. Now bookies offer some more options for the game, and I will be having England HT/FT @3.25 7 pts betfair England to score 3 or more @4.50 5pts England to score 4 or more @13 1 pt bet365 England straight win @2.10 20pts, taken a few days ago

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th Russia - Azerbaijan I very rare bet on matches involving our teams, but we are playing not so bad at the moment. We managed a 1-1 draw against Israel at home, and played well against Portugal and held them for like an hour. Our team is unpredictable and they can play a decent game one day, but then can screw up and lose by 4-5 goals. So, it is up to you whether you follow my bet or not. Russia will only want 3 points here and for some reason when teams from the former Soviet Union play against each other we rarely note the difference in the class and I can't remember when was the last time a team like Russia or Ukraine beat a team from a former Soviet Union by a big margin. Most recently Ukraine drew away 0-0 against Moldova. Last time we played Russia, we lost 0-2 in Moscow and drew 1-1 in Baku (but that was when Russia did not need a win). So, I think that Russia will be just after 3 points and will not attack after scoring 1 or 2 goals. Under 2.5 Goals @ 2.60 (2 units) Bet365

I'm hoping our performance against San Marino will enthuse many into laying England, so that hopefully our odds rise. I'm in agreement that we are a decent bet at evens. I'd have us at 1.80'ish personally because of the away factor. Poland have had a smattering of talent for a number of years now and always seem to fall short. We weren't at the races on Friday but I'd expect many of our more established stars to take to the field against Poland, and a much more professional performance should be expected. I'd take us all day long at evens.

Hi Mark, Of course I do because that's what I posted. ;) Ukraine are a better team than Poland, regardless of their shock draw with Moldova. I wouldn't be putting my house, car and rabbit on England, but I am quietly confident they will come away with a win.

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th Russia v Azerbaijan Not really seen anything that stands out to me in the market about Russia, although I fancy them to win this comfortably they could just settle for something like a 2-0 scoreline. I will look out for the odds on Kerzhakov to score 1st or anytime when they become available, the strikers scored 3 in his last 2 for Russia and looks a big part of Capellos plans, he leads the attac well and i expect alot of chances to fall his way here. Israel v Luxembourg Israel-3 Handicap @ 15/8 Paddypower This games a real mismatch and Israel should come out really easy winners here. They played eachother Friday night and Israel travelled to Luxembourg and still managed to net 6 goals, the last time these 2 played in Israel the home team managed to put 7 past them so this shows just how much Israel love playing these 'minnows' of International football. Luxembourg are poor away from home, despite the draw to Northern Ireland this definately doesn't deter me as in my opinion, Northern Ireland are a really poor team aswel and Israel have more about them so should knock a few in here. Croatia v Wales Croatia-1 Handicap @ Evens Paddypower Wales have been extremely poor under Coleman and I really don't rate them, under Gary Speed i thought they might of had something going but since Coleman took over they have just been a one man team. If you took Bale out of this Wales team who would be able to step up? In fairness, the squad is still young and full of potential with Ramsey, Allen and a few others still young and growing year by year but at this moment I just can't see Wales competing with teams like Croatia. Croatia have proved time and time again they have enough to mix it with big boys and alot of this comes through the mini magician in the midfield, Luka Modric. Croatia really impressed me in the euros and maybe should have even knocked out the eventual champions Spain if some things could have gone there way, the home team should have far too much for the Wales youngsters here and if they can keep Bale at bay (and hope he doesn't start diving) then it should be an easy 3 points here. San Marino v Moldova Moldova-2 Handicap @ 2/1 Paddypower Moldova HT/FT @ 8/11 Paddypower Having watched San Marino against England and some other highlights, I really cannot get my head around them. They sit back and don't even try to score, fair enough the players are less talented than the bigger countries, but even when you see FA cup clashes between premiership and non league the non league side gives it a go and try get forward when they can. It seems to me that San Marino only train defensively, they seem to think the game of Football is played in one half instead of two, I'm surprised at half time they even know they have to switch halves as there probably too focused on defending that goal than anything else! I have to take Moldova at this price, the point they managed to nick off Ukraine last night will only boost confidence and I fancy Moldova to get a few here, despite defending for most of the game against Ukraine they did have a couple of decent chances to grab all 3 points so if they can create chances against Ukraine, I'm sure they can do it in this training match on Tuesday. Germany v Sweden Germany -1 Handicap @ 5/6 Paddypower Germany generally are strong in qualifying, but I feel this price is definately to big on the handicap. Sweden were lucky not be on the end of an upset against the Faroes and if they let the germans in the same way the let the Faroes they could be in for a hiding here. With the german players all on top form at the moment and confidence flowing throughout the team, this qualifying campaign will be Germanys chance to show just why they should be considered contenders for the World cup in Brazil. The germans were ruthless in front of goal against a weak Ireland team but with anyone capable of grabbing a goal, I feel if Sweden let Germany in to score one it could lead to 3 or 4 and theres no chance Sweden will be able to contend with that on German soil. Might be back with some more once i've had a look through the markets properly.

Bare in mind the Poland game yesterday was a friendly though and England do tend to make things hard for themselves at the best of times. We struggled to get the draw with Ukraine at home and in Poland this could be a really tough game for England. Poland are a strong unit and if Lewandowski even gets a sniff he'll take his chances. Poland will be eager to get stuck in here after seeing the England performance they will know if San Marino can keep us at bay for 30 odd minutes, then they can definately keep us out for the whole 90. Not going near this one I think England will probably just edge it but Having watched England my whole life and being disappointed most of the time I won't be surprised if we manage to throw the points away here.

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th San Marino is an 11 man defence. Poland have to come out and attack, don't make the mistake of thinking because it took us 30 mins to score, that Poland will get any confidence from that, because it's a completely different scenario. I think you're putting to much emotion into the bet and not thinking with your head. ;) I've said it before and I'll say it again, England are garbage in finals (until the mentality and technical ability improves), but remain world class in qualifiers.

Poland will be eager to get stuck in here after seeing the England performance they will know if San Marino can keep us at bay for 30 odd minutes' date=' then they can definately keep us out for the whole 90. Not going near this one I think England will probably just edge it but Having watched England my whole life and being disappointed most of the time I won't be surprised if we manage to throw the points away here.[/quote'] In recent years, when have England ever failed to deliver in qualifying? Poland are drivel, normally home advantage in a major championships is a major advantage to a side, like South Korea in the world cup.. Poland were awful against Greece, got a lucky draw against Russia and lost to the Czech's, and England have only lost 2 of their last 20 away World Cup qualifying games. Comfortable 2-0 win for England.

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th

Hi Mark, I wouldn't be putting my house, car and rabbit on England, but I am quietly confident they will come away with a win.
:D I'm not saying they won't but 1.60 sounds a bit low on an away win for a team as unpredictable as England. Poland have won only once with England and that was 1973, they have lost 10 times and drawn 6 and I do think that England will most probably take the full tally, but I wouldn't take anything lower than 1.80. That's naturally my own opinion. Cheers Paul, Mark

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th Poland has very good defence, so there is no way they can lose so badly. I think that England won't score more that one. For Russia game I think that AH +1.5 for Azerbaijan at 2.15 would be nice choice since it will be really tough game for home side.

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th

San Marino is an 11 man defence.

But Poland do have a very strong home record and they were only beaten by a strong Croatia team at the euros, they will be keen to get stuck back in to qualifying as they only played a load of friendlies for the last 2 years. England have had problems against teams like Montenegro and Ukraine and I think Poland play alot like these two, with the transitional period England are going through at the moment and with the loss of Terry I just think it could be a really tough game in Poland, especially missing Parker in my opinion hes key in the England set up. We'll see what happens though good luck with the bets I do hope England come in for any backers! :ok

They had Greece, Czech Republic and Russia, a dream group in comparison to the others.

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th

I think England @ 2.00 look a very backable price.
I think its alittle too early to decide on this one. It all depends on who's playing for England. England have a few injuries, Terry has retired and we are trying to blend in youth right now. I believe England will field a different team to what played against San Marino so I'm going to wait nearer kick off or In Play might be the best option. I do have a fairly good feeling that England will come away with a win, but its a risky bet imo. I don't think Poland are complete walkovers and England willl need to be on good form.

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th You cannot include friendlies in your thoughts - you will lose a LOT of money if you do. Go back to World Cup qualifying campaign of last time and they conceded 14 goals in 10 matches - still a good defence? It was arguably a weak group too. You can't make arguments up out of thin air or weak stats.

Re: WC > European Qualifiers - October 16th

From last 15 matches 8 clean sheets. I doubt that England will have qualities to trash this defence.
Ireland have kept 13 clean sheets in their last 24 matches. Yet Germany hit us for 6 last night. That is a completely irrelevant statistic. Poland's 8 clean sheets have been against South Africa, Moldova, Andorra, Slovakia, Latvia, Portugal, Bosnia, Belarus. Apart from Portugal, the rest of those sides are pretty rubbish.
