Aidymac
Re: BBOTD Wednesday 9th of May *Ile De Re - Chester 2:35* Backed this horse when it last ran when it was Ian Williams. It is now with Donals McCain which is a great stable to be with, and they might just have the horse fit and ready on debut. Won twice over hurdles this season, so should be sharp enough for the flat, and won't lack in stamina on softer going. Runs off 93, only 2 pounds higher than when winning on the flat at Ascot last year. E/W squeak. *0.5 Points e/w @ 14/1 Betfred BOG* Cracking ride Jim Crowley.. :nana

south_eastern_ram
Re: BBOTD Wednesday 9th of May 4.00 Southwell - Fair Passion - 11/2 Boylesports Shortened up a bit today but think this one is a seriously big price in a very weak affair. Gorgeous Goblin is a very short price, ran ok lto but her last win was in a very weak race. Bouncy Bouncy is the biggest threat but first time out on this surface and has got to improve again. Everything else in the race looks very week. Fair Passion has some decent form to his name, her last all weather start at Wolverhampton she was beaten a shoulder off effectively todays mark in a much stronger race than this, that form has been franked quite well. Her last start here at Southwell was off 2lbs higher in a far stronger race and she was only beaten just over 3 lengths. She travelled well lto on turf but the ground was probably too quick and all her form is on the all weather. She's not the easiest to catch right and she needs a race run to suit, but the weakness of the oppositions makes her a very big price imo. anth699
Re: BBOTD Wednesday 9th of May its easy enough checking prices if anybodys selection wins after the event as long as they state the bookmaker, may save a bit grief, shuubat was 11/2 @pp at 08.59,changed to 5/1 @ 09.06 so simple sorry for butting in but seems silly arguing and possibly causing problems on a very good competition. ps,was still 11/2 elsewhere. Thanks Anth, we know how to check the prices alright, the problem is people take a price and then write their reasoning for the selection, visit the bookie and have a bet, have a cuppa tea, take the kids to school and then post it on here?:lol
Julius Caesar
Re: BBOTD Wednesday 9th of May Toffee Tart 9:00 33-1 e/w (SJ) Definitely not without ability as showed last year and clearly needed the run - badly - first time out this year. Think he'll run a lot better tonight on his first run over 7F.
