Re: Apat Season 6 Live Tour - Next Event Alea Glasgow, 13-14 Oct Thanks all for the support. :D I played a short stack game for 2 days, never really getting above average stack and nursing 10-20 BB most of the time. Started day 2 with second least chips of 27 and just under 10 BB so obviously very happy to cash and make the final table. Found the right spots to push, won my races and got the luck when I was behind. It's easy when it all goes right! I could easily have got away from the last hand and possibly laddered up more places, but I had our 4 hour drive home in the back of my mind and had decided it was either time to make my exit and get home before midnight, or double up and make the late night worthwhile. Met Jolly and Divits for the first time :D although not much time to talk. Sat with Eck for a while and relieved him of some chips! As usual in the APAT events, it's a friendly atmosphere and good standard of play. :ok The Alea is a nice casino with excellent dealers but plagued by terrible lighting! It's well located there with the Ibis (Etap) and plenty of eateries on site as well as bowling, bingo and cinema alternatives for early bust outs! Despite the long journey we'd go again (and possibly book an extra night!) if APAT play another tourney there.

Re: Apat Season 6 Live Tour - Next Event World Amateur Champs, DTD, 28th Mar-1st Apr Back from the poker fest. Went out about 100th/202 in the 6max. Enjoyed my time sat next to Ian from APAT forum who I had been battling against in the recent Monday league. Out with nut flush to a turn and river FH! I made an early exit from the HORSE in 38th/40, although I did at least make a whole circuit. Structure felt a bit steep, 6000 chips with game changing every 8 hands and 30 mins levels, antes from the start in the stud games. Half my stack gone by the time we finished Razz! Very enjoyable nonetheless and played in good spirit whilst we all figured out how it worked! Went out holding aces in Omaha, of course. :eyes Main event 1b yesterday, got off to a good start earlyish on, up about 5k leading out the betting holding 33 with A on flop and turn, hit my 3 on the river to beat AK. :$ Downhill for the rest of the day and managed my small stack for several hours surviving a couple of all ins uncalled, a couple of double ups including a desperation SB v BB shove with 37o beating A2 with a straight on the river! Got moved tables just before the final break and picked up QQ straight away. Shoved (about 10 BB) over the top of a raise to my immediate right, big think to my immediate left eventually folded JJ and the original raiser called with KK. First card out was J, and no help to my queens, so I would have been gone whichever way the betting had turned out. 49th/212 (with about 30 left of 239 from 1a). By the end, 64 total went through to day 2, all cashing. Well done to the APAT team for a really well run weekend, not easy with DTD full to capacity. :clap
