avongirl
Re: Apat Season 6 William Hill English Amateur Championship 7/8th April GCasino Cove Thanks everyone. Back in time to reg for the APAT online league and back to reality when my QQ gets done by 55! Pretty happy with my play over the weekend. Spent most of yesterday around 8-10k (starting stack is 15k) with a couple of double ups along the way ended on 28k to come back today to blinds of 1.5/3k. 1st hand I got KK, got my chips in against another all in, to find he had the other 2 Kings! As usual I've already forgotten most of my other hands, but took the blinds a few times and had big pots with AA and KK. Played steady for a while but lost a lot with the Ac10c v AK, (I'd opened with 3x raise so felt moreorless committed when the BB who was new to the table shoved) then once safely in the money but short again I called with 77 against AQ who hit 2 aces, to finish 17th of 165 (I think). Debs Quasar and Andy Duncan were out just after me. Left Andy and Brian playing the omaha. :hope Really enjoyed the tables I played on, most of the APAT regulars are good company, and it was great to finally spend time with Debbie, as well as meeting Fidel properly (so different in real life to on-line!) I love GCasino Coventry!
Quasar
Re: Apat Season 6 William Hill English Amateur Championship 7/8th April GCasino Cove Well I've just arrived home so after reading Helen's update I thought I'd do one too. I went out in 15th when my AJ was called by two players. One had 10 8 and the other mucked his cards at the end so remain a mystery. Needless to say the 10 8 won. I have no complaints though as I also had my share of good luck over the past two days. That's poker for you. Was playing short stacked most of the afternoon and evening yesterday but was just starting to chip up nicely today until I made a silly error and then had to shove with AJ and lost. I always enjoy the APAT games. The people are lovely and friendly and when I started I only knew one person. Quite a few APAT's later and I've met some really fab people. When I sat down at my table yesterday I had a quick look round and spotted Helen and Duncan on my table. I spent quite a bit of time with Helen this weekend and it was totally lovely. I also want to thank you Helen for going to look for my "lost cardigan" when I was still playing today. Half an hour later poor Helen arrives back after looking in the ladies toilets, asking at reception and behind the bar but no luck - my cardigan had gone. I was really gutted until Helen looks at the floor behind me and says "is that it?" Oops sorry about that but thanks for looking :o) xxx Also forgot to say I met Andy today too. Nice to meet you Andy :o)
runadrum
Re: Apat Season 6 William Hill English Amateur Championship 7/8th April GCasino Cove As Debs mentions, Helen and I started at the same table (first time ever - had to happen sometime) but a few seats apart - 5 and 10. I was steady away until I lost more chips than I should with AdJd after a missed flop chasing a straight or a miracle flush - to discover oppo had two of the kings I needed ! Exit hand also AJ, but hit AQJ flop this time - only to walk into KT. Good results from the girls and from Andy in both the 'mixed tournament' events (although unlucky with the PLO bubble) :clap
Quasar
Re: Apat Season 6 William Hill English Amateur Championship 7/8th April GCasino Cove I've just realised Fidel is FunkyB. We shared tables for quite a while over the weekend. I seemed to have a hand every time it was his BB and he thought I was "at it" so eventually showed him a couple of hands to prove otherwise. Nice to play against you Fidel. If I was going to pick on someone at the table it wouldn't have been you. You play a very solid game so I think there are easier targets lol :)

I went out in my usual 97th with black aces v 7c8c. 2 clubs on flop kept him calling. Second spade on turn so only hope when club on river was that he wanted spades, but not to be.
