Varese is in 12th place with a 3-3-3 record overall (including 2 consecutive away wins) and a 1-1-2 home record. Padova is 2nd with a 6-2-1 record and a 2-2-1 away record. The guests are playing better overall but the hosts have good confidence after the 2 consecutive away wins. The H2H massively recommends the draw. Varese's H2H record against Padova in the last 25 matches overall is 3-15-7. At home, Varese's H2H against Padova is 1-8-3 including 5 of the last 6 matches. Sampdoria have had a fairly hit and miss season thus far but they started to feel the pressure after losing at home to promotion rivals Torino. Sampdoria seem to have a relegation hangover when playing at home and have only won once, drawing three and losing to Torino. Away they have fared slighly better with a record of W2 D2 L0. Atzori is boosted by the fact that captain Palombo, goal keeper Romero, defender Gastaldello and midfielders Obiang and Foggia have shaken off fitness issues and all will be in Sampdoria's squad to face Ascoli. I believe only Padalino will be missing from the first team for Samp. Whether they all start the game is a different matter but they are some of Sampdoria's most important players and their inclusion will be more than welcome. Ascoli, currently Serie B's lowest ranked club have a multitude of problems both on and off the field. They will be missing defenders Ciofani and Andelkovic plus midfielder Ilari for the game against Samp. Castori has admitted that many of his players are not in great condition so far this season and a home game against the wounded animal of Sampdoria isn't exactly what the doctor ordered right now. To summarise there is real pressure on Sampdoria to get the win here which will pose the most significant element of risk for the bet. Atzori has been unlucky rather than poor as a coach and I am backing him to turn Sampdoria's fortunes here with a group of footballers that have a lot of quality and a bit to prove against a struggling Ascoli side. I am 3-0 so far betting only corners, staked : 13, net profit: +10.56 Sometimes it requires a bit of luck, I got twice at limit lost on two games : one bet over 9.5 = FT 9 corners, other bet Under 10.5 = FT 11 corners - Russian Premier League. Wont give up... teams with 4-3-2-1 will get many corners, of course it depends if score early goal (s) and then sit back and play lazy... :wall :lol I still believe I can go very far with this type of bet on the Italian Serie B. FT: Ascoli 1-2 Sampdoria, It's often a game of fine margins for us punters and Foggia scores deep in injury time to get the victory for Samp here. I'm hoping this will be the psychological boost Atzori and his players need to kick on and move up the table. I think Sampdoria are only 3pts off the automatic places now after Padova got clonked at Varese last night. They are winning 5.5, on average, themselves. Pescara average 12.8 corners in their away games - winning 6.2 themselves. Now I make this line one or two short and it's worth a decent sized bet.
