Re: Tennis - 18-24 April

Have taken the -2.5 games line on Garcia-Lopez @4/5 after the first game of the match. I don't particularly rate Istomin on any surface but clay is by far his worst' date=' while GGL can get his serve working for him with a partizan crowd behind him. I wasn't willing to take the -4.5 earlier in the day nor the -3.5 at the start of the match, but I'll take -2.5 all day long.[/quote'] 2 wins from 2 for me today - neither did it with much style though and I think it'll be second round exits, whoever they play.

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April

Just the one more for me then today over in Stuggart. Kristina Barrois vs Lucie Safarova- Over 20.5 games- 10/11 Bet365- (4/10)
LOSS Not sure what happened in the first set but Safarova killed the bet that's for sure. Had a couple of chances in the second to take it to a third set but alas.

:lol No sooner in saying that I've taken a further two. Lots of different bets around today, should be an interesting day. Kevin Anderson vs Pablo Cuevas- Cuevas -3.5 handicap- 8/11 Bet365- (5/10) Fabio Fognini vs Simone Vagnozzi- Over 21.5 games- 5/6 Bet365- (4/10)
LOSS VOID Stupid Fognini retiring. That one if it had come through would have near enough broke me even. As it is a small loss.

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April Got some revision and stuff to do tomorrow so only taking one on. Alize Cornet vs Andrea Hlavakova- Cornet -4.5 handicap- 4/5 Bet365- (5/10) Don't back Cornet alot of the time but feel tomorrow she should be fine. Hlavakova has only one win in her last 8 matches and it's not like she's played world beaters in that time. Azarenka aside, losses against Watson, Chan and Paszek have led to her confidence being ripped to shreads which was evident when she couldn't close out her last match against Zahlavova Strycova a couple of weeks back in Charleston. Cornet last year showed what a handy player she can be on clay. She made a couple of WTA semi finals, including here in Fes, meaning she'll have some points to defend. Granted her last couple of matches haven't been entirely encouraging but due to her opponent's lack of form, I'd fancy Cornet to have too much for her tomorrow and the (4.5) handicap looks attainable for the youngster.

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April

Thomaz Bellucci @ 1.781 with Pinnacle 6pts LOSS Pablo Cuevas -3.5 games @ 1.833 with Pinnacle 5pts LOSS Juan Monaco -4 games AH @ 2.00 with Pinnacle 4pts WIN Tobias Kamke @ 2.35 with Pinnacle 3pts LOSS Over 22 games AH @ 1.909 with Pinnacle 3pts WIN
2/5 doesn't look that bad but to be honest it was a poor day, culminating in a -7.1pts deficit. Could and probably should have been worse. Monaco almost went 5-1 down in the first set and Ramirez Hidalgo was a double break up in the second set. Small mercies indeed. Paid the price for taking too many unreliable players today, will learn. Tomorrow will hopefully bring better. Final word to Czech and Psycho, great shouts on Barrois :ok

Cuevas - Anderson 1 @1,45:eyes Monaco - Dimitrov 1 @1,31:ok Monty - Gabba 1 @1,25:ok Granollers - Brands 1 @1,40:ok GGL - Istomin 1 @1,48:ok @4,9 and I will mix in doubles and triples :clap @Atko mentioned almost everything about Monaco and Cuevas, and I completely agree... real clay-court players against not so good players who doesn't like clay a lot... monty is top10 on clay for me, gabba had some good matches in miami, but i don't respect him so much on clay. albert should go in next round without troubles. granollers lost on the begining of the season on clay for him, but he had so hard matchup with almugro, but he likes this surface. brands has many lost matches in a row in last 2 months,he is playing verry bad and clay isn't his favourite. denis is awfull at clay, i did't know how he steal set from gasquet. and guillermo is ok, well serve, so hard FH, local boy :lol i think he will skip denis
good day, nice profit, but it could be perfect if pablo was normal :@

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April Only WTA for me today again. Will have some more selections once all lines are available for Stuttgart... WTA Fes 1) Anastasia Pivovarova vs Fatima El Allami. Under 17.5 games. 1.80 @ Bet365 (6/10) Would have prefered handicap here even on seven games as I believe it will be 6-0 or 6-1 in one of the sets for sure. Odds on handicaps though are awful, so having unders. Can't see a bigger scoreline than 6-3, 6-2 which would do for unders in this match. Pivovarova actually plays her best tennis on clay, tall girl with killer backhand. The main reason for this bet is going against El Allami who is a local player, gets a WC every year in this tournament and gets hammered. She managed to win just one game against Kerber last year, retired against Morigami in 2009 and won just one game against Pavlyuchenkova in 2008. Amateur player, not much experience etc. Should be comfortable win even for player like Pivovarova. 2) Jill Craybas +6.5 AH vs Dinara Safina. 1.86 @ Pinnacle (5/10) Jill Craybas is very old, 36 to be precise here. No world beater anymore but can give a decent performance in the first round here or there, especially on clay where she has got more time to think about it. Safina has beaten her all five times they have played and has been made huge favorite here. Can't agree on 6.5 games. Not for Safina and not today. Craybas despite being very old can still play and like I said, clay has got some advantages for here. Safina has never covered this big handicap against Craybas in all of their five matches and I don't hink it will happen today either. With her service problems and usual double faults Craybas can expect some free points and games as well. Overs a very good option as well @ 17.5 games but odds are lower than on handicap so favoring that. 3) Aravane Rezai to beat Arantxa Rus. 1.80 @ Pinnacle (6/10) Making an exception rule for Rezai inr today's match. She is in my list for well known reasons but today she will win, that is my gut feeling. Rezai has been without a coach this year, now she's finally got one and Alexia Dechaumet-Balleret, former coach of Amelie Mauresmo, will work with her until the French Open. There's also a new fitnees coach for Rezai, so that is very important. She definitely won't want to disappoint them in her first tournament. Besides she's a number one seed here and asked for a WC. Rus is one-dimensional player who plays better in fast conditions where she can benefit from her serve and forehand. Rezai when in mood can be unplayable and her allround game is way too better than for Rus. Being Rus rated a little above evens can't see Rezai throwing this one away, so backing her to win @ 1.80. She's a better player and needs to impress new coaching staff, besided new coaches normally bring an emotional lift. She badly needed one. WTA Stuttgart 1) Alexandra Dulgheru vs Daniela Hantuchova. Over 20.5 games. 1.85 @ Nordicbet (5/10) Dulgheru probably should win this as Hantuchoca will be in terrible mood after her awful performances in Fed Cup over the weekend. She lost to both Ivanovic and Jankovic. Dulgheru of course also better player on clay but loves to play long matches and overs. No surprises if we look at their H2H. One match played, on clay in Warsaw 2009 (Dulgheru won this tournament last two years), the Romanian won in three sets and I think it could be the same outcome here.

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April One more from Stuttgart. Zuzana Kucova +5.5 vs Anna Chakvetadze. 1.80 @ local Both played qualies here, that's three matches. Kucova lucky loser after going out to Paszek. The main reason for this bet is that Chakvetadze will be more tired of the two. She played nearly three hours yesterday to get past Maria Koryttseva. The thing with Chakvetadze is that when she is tired, she can be really bad and looking at this handicap it is huge in current circumstances.

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April

And Anna retires again :$ I must say that at 6-1 5-7 4-4 in the decider this is suspicious and Anna should be investigated
It's not suspicious. She very often dies on the court after a tough match in the previous day. But retiring one game from finish is lame. Had my bet won at 4-4 :sad

She should have retired in the second set if she was feeling bad. Waiting till it was clear she will lose is bad sport, kinda Gasquetish

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April All the hallmarks of Andreas Seppi in Miami a few weeks ago. Feel your pain Psycho, really frustrating when the bet is won and then someone retires. Not fair on the punter. Hopefully you'll benefit from the same scenario down the line.

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April Away from diagnosis murder in the forum lol, watching the Pivovarova match against the local WC, she is a laughing stock. No way she should have been broken by Allami. Any decent player would have creamed her 6-0 6-0. Really bad.

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April

Seems like she fainted.
Well, she does this quite often, doesn't she? Last time I remember she fainted in Dubai in week #7 2011 against Wozniacki - I watched that and it looked horrible. Today I did not follow any live stream for this event (IMO there were none available), but on the scoreboard it was smthing like 4-4 and breakpoint on Anna's serve in the decider, and then she retires. If she really fainted, then it's an excuse, but otherwise ... Can u imagine that amount of sweat with +5.5 on Kucova and 1st set 6-1 for Anna :cry And all that in vain :wall

Any decent player would have creamed her 6-0 6-0. Really bad.[/quote'] This El Allami actually had some good shots. But more importantly, she was suffering big pain (cramps supposedly) in last game or two at the end of the 2nd set, yet she decided to go through the tie-break and deliberately doublefaulted last couple of points as she clearly was not in state to last the decider. What a difference to that cow Chakvetadze !!!

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April Not the first time she's fainted this season, she's been admitted to the hospital regarding this apparently she has been diagnosed with "vasovagal syncope" it is defined as temporary loss of consciousness, associated with a fall in blood pressure. Can't really blame her when the illness is out of her control.

Aravane Rezai to beat Arantxa Rus. 1.80 @ Pinnacle (6/10) WIN Alexandra Dulgheru vs Daniela Hantuchova. Over 20.5 games. 1.85 @ Nordicbet (5/10) WIN Zuzana Kucova +5.5 vs Anna Chakvetadze. 1.80 @ local VOID Anastasia Pivovarova vs Fatima El Allami. Under 17.5 games. 1.80 @ Bet365 (6/10) LOSS Jill Craybas +6.5 AH vs Dinara Safina. 1.86 @ Pinnacle (5/10) LOSS
Massive effort from Rezai to turn it around after being couple games away from the exit. Speaking of effort there wasn't one from Craybas. Really can't understand what's the point to travel all the way to place like Morocco and then not playing.

I know this is no good to you now, and I expect you probably know anyway, but it may be worth mentioning for those that don't - under Bet365's rules that bet would've been settled as a winner.

Sport Tennis
Event Victoria Azarenka - Julia Georges
Selection Julia Georges
Strength 10/10
Date 20/04/2011
Bookmaker/Price Bwin @ 4.75
Reasoning Julia Georges will play tommorow against Victoria Azarenka and I think that she will win. Georges is a professional tennis player from Germany. The tournament is in Stuttgard in Germany so I see many chances for her. Julia Georges has won one WTA singles title (Bad Gastein, Austria, clay) and three doubles titles as of September 2010. She can play fantastic on clay. She defeated Krajicek today: 1st Serve Percentage 59% (23/39) 1st Serve Points Won 96% (22/23) 2nd Serve Points Won 63% (10/16) Her first serve looks fantastic. In my opinion she feels great on this surface. Victoria Azarenka is top player, she won two tournaments in this year so I think that she feels tired. Odd is very good!

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April 3 early selections for me from the lines that are available right now. WTA Stuttgart 1) Francesca Schiavone to beat Agnieszka Radwanska. 1.90 @ Pinnacle (6/10) Schiavone has lost only one match against Radwanska in five meetings and that was recently in Miami. The Italian has never played well in Miami and was very poor in that match making error atfer error. It will be completely different ball game on clay which perfectly suits Schiavone's game and I expect her to get a win. Radwanska can't play attacking tennis, but Schiavone will and that will be the difference in this match. ATP Barcelona 2) Simon Greul to beat Milos Raonic. 3.20 @ Bwin (5/10) Worth a shot for sure. Simon Greul is a typical clay courter whilst Raonic has not played that much on this surface and beating poor Stepanek in the opening round is no big deal. Interesting thing here is that Greul beat Raonic on hard earlier this season. It was in Johannesburg on a very slow hard surface and having seen that match I can say that Raonic was struggling big time against the German player and los 6-7, 6-4. He did not break him in the whole match, going 0/7 whilst was broken once himself and had six break points against him. Ir should be another good chance for Greul now un clay and odds are wrong here. 3) Mischa Zverev to beat Juan Carlos Ferrero. 3.73 @ Pinnacle (3/10) Zverev in poor form but I believe that this is bet that can work out for one very good reason. Ferrero without match practise this year and played his first match since US Open yesterday and beat Malisse who really is not a clay specialist. Zverev a lucky looser and gets a chances to play only because Murray can't go because of the elbow injury he suffered in Monte Carlo semifinal. Ferrero might find it tough to play two matches in as many days and there's one very interesting stat to back up my claim. Zverev has beaten Ferrero all three times they played. It was in Bangkok on indoor hard in 2006, via retirement in Wimbledon 2008 (Zverev was leading by 2-0) and most importantly he beat him also on clay which happened in Roma Masters qualies in 2009. The result was 6-7(7) 6-4 7-5.

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April Going for two. Good luck everyone. (4/10) S.Stosur (-3.5) to bt. D.Hantuchova @ 1.80 at Bet365 Hantuchova should have been out already, but Dulgheru lost the match thanks to her poor serve. That s not going to happen with Stosur, who has been to the finals in Stuttgart last year and will look to reach that hurdle again. Better player and fatigue from the Fed Cup might catch up with Hantuchova. (4/10) K.Nishikori (-4) to bt. R.Machado @ 2.00 at Pinnacle Kei should have done the job yesterday, but Riba retired. Nevertheless, still fancy Kei to do well. He is the more talented of the two and Machado has been losing to the likes of Ramirez-Hidalgo by big margins, so I do not see him challenging Nishikori today.

I have huge respect for your opinions psycho but do you not think that it's maybe dangerous to oppose Raonic tomorrow? He has, understandably, not found it easy on clay but he seems to be improving with every game. I think he was better than his 6-1, 6-3 defeat to Ferrer last week suggested. He wasn't completely outplayed by the 2nd best clay courter in the world and should come on for that. Immediately after Jo'burg Greul had a good run in Meknes but had to withdraw in the semis. He whipped Ivo Klec in the quarters of that tournament then lost to the Slovak a few weeks later. That was just one of a number of disappointing results for the German. Do you not think there's a chance that Raonic will do something similar? Interesting betting fact about Greul this year. He's only managed to win 3 times in 2011 when not a favourite, against Raonic in Jo'burg, Daniel Brands in Sydney and against Jan Hajek this week (was v. slight dog). I'd personally rather be against Greul than with him just trying to figure out the best way to be on Raonic - 4/9 stan james is the best there is at the moment...

Re: Tennis - 18-24 April yaroslava shvedova minus 3.5 games against pivovarova 10-11 bet365. 2 points shvedova finally seems to be recovering from her injury problems and subsequent loss of form since the start of the season...back in early months she didn't look like she could win a match but she seems to have turned a corner over the last month or so and she is now back on her favourite surface of clay! she really has a big game, can hit huge of both wings and almost like soderling benefits from that extra second and higher bounce she gets on clay to set up that booming forehand which admittedly misfires at times but is a real weapon when going well! she got to the french open quarter-final last year and will be hungry to do well on the clay court season as she has points to defend and will be eager to find form again! the fact that she beat the hugely promising begu today so comfortably bodes well! pivovarova on the other hand is a player i like...she's been very reliable for me in the early rounds of grand slam qualifying the last year or so! her favourite surface is definately clay too and she benefited from a nice draw to make last years french open 3rd round after qualifying! yet she is ordinary enough, very one-dimensional player with no real plan b! she's got excellent temperment in the way that she doesnt give up and plays the big points very well against players of similar ability in tight matches...her court coverage is impressive too...she'll definately win more close matches then she will lose...but when someone is too good for her she tends to have no answer....i've seen her on the end of several real hammerings against players a level above her and with power capable of blowing her off the court! she also laboured to beat a poor enough wild card from morroco today (who was actually very funnny too watch ...seeing her bounce around the place even when the match was over).... Shevdova is class above and 3.5 isn't really that big a handicap at 10-11 ...if she wins the match...she'lll do ity comfortably and i think it's a good valueprice.
