Tomorrow's matches :
10am:
Ding Vs Davis
Greene Vs Craigie
Gould Vs Stevens
Wakelin Vs Doherty
2.30pm:
Lilley Vs Maflin
Yupeng Vs Murphy
Saengkham Vs Jak Jones
Day Vs Clarke
7pm:
Jamie Jones Vs Pinches
Holt Vs Astley
Maddocks Vs Carty
Selby Vs Muir
Not the nicest card tomorrow. There isn't much that screams out to me. I think it's worth chucking a couple of points at Mark Davis to beat Ding but it's more because we haven't seen Ding for so long. That makes me think that he will either have been constantly practicing or perhaps not. Either way he will surely be alittle rusty and Davis has won his last 2 with a couple of 50+ breaks in both of those matches. Probably worth a punt.
In the afternoon matches, I would normally be taking Yupeng to beat Murphy there but Murphy is playing really well at the moment and despite Yupeng being a nice price, I just can't see him beat Shaun. I will take a punt on Jamie Clarke to beat Ryan Day though. Jimmy White should have beaten Day and was in and amongst the balls 4-3 up but nerves get to Jimmy today just asmuch as they used to and he threw it away. Clarke looked really good in the beating of Bond, with 1 century and 3 70+ breaks. Day is there for the taking.
accy to come, when the 2.30pm matches go onto Paddy.
2pts M. Davis to beat D. Junhui 5/2 paddypower
4pts J. Clarke to beat R. Day 7/4 paddypower

Brandon Nakashima to beat (-1.5 sets) Henri Laaksonen in-play at 2.40 with Betsafe
My last dimes on Betsafe goes in on this bet. No idea why I even place this bet, doesn't feel good.

The bookies sure aren't giving away anything. I was looking to back Brooksby again, but 1.40 isn't something I'd be interested in honestly. He's better than Davidovich Fokina at the moment and his form is immense, but those odds are crazy.

Veronica Kudermetova to beat Simona Halep at 2.80 with Betsafe
I'm not surprised to see Halep priced so low but this is one test Halep won't pass. Some reasons: Kudermetova is having her best season, she's like a rocket when serving. It's gonna be very hard for Halep to find any rythm and she might even struggle to keep the pace with Kudermetova.

I know Brooksby can put up a real fight to Sinner in an eventual final between them and I think Harris didn't look so convincing the other day when he beat Bergs so I'm pretty convinced not mutch can stop Sinner from reaching the final. In the case that Sinner reaches final I think he wins after a good fight.

If you're just waiting on Sinner and the other leg is won, then you can type your stake and the odds of the double plus the lay odds for Sinner to win into an arb calculator. That will tell you the amount to lay Sinner for to guarantee an even profit whether he wins or loses

@CzechPunter Sinner is basically making no mistakes just like Brooksby and Nakashima but Sinner won't face any of them until the final.
I should wait till sunday before making cash-out then if I feel like not taking the risk that he doesn't win Antwerpen.

four-leaf reacted to Torque in Tennis Forum Usage and Etiquette
After reading about yet another spat between users on this part of the forum, and as a long-term poster here of more than ten years, I thought I'd put forward some thoughts about how to improve the atmosphere on these threads which it seems to me has been going downhill for some time. These thoughts mainly take the form of how I believe a forum like this should operate. Some may agree with me, others may not and that's fine as long as disagreements are handled in the right way - and that's one of the things I'll be discussing later.
Firstly, as far as I'm concerned the purpose of the Tennis Forum is to share picks and information to try to help other users to come to an opinion about what they might choose to bet on, whilst bearing in mind that we all bet at our own risk. If anybody chooses to follow any picks put forward by other users then they need to accept that losing is not only possible but inevitable, even if the pick is well reasoned and deemed to contain value in terms of a price that implies a lower chance of a result occurring than is actually the case, and even if the price is short.
What this forum shouldn't be about, but increasingly seems to be, is arguing about picks to the point of personal attacks and boasting about wins as well as demeaning anyone who puts up a losing pick. I'm not interested in vaunting tipping superiority or belittling others and I'm not interested in gloating or the goading which also seems to be becoming a regular occurrence, nor am I interested in winning an argument or trying to convince others that I'm right and they're wrong.
There seems to be more and more aggressive and confrontational content here, which is sad to see. It should be simple and straightforward to run a friendly forum and all that's required to make that happen is for users to be respectful of each other. If somebody puts up a pick or some thoughts about a match or tournament, by all means other users can disagree or offer a different perspective and that's conducive to a healthy conversation which should lead to more informed betting choices. What's not acceptable though is to respond to what someone has posted with derogatory remarks, either about what they've posted or the poster themselves.
As for critiquing a pick after the result is known - another increasingly common sight - that can be a useful exercise in terms of bets going forward, but in terms of the simplistic view that a winning bet is a good bet and a losing bet is a bad one there's no merit in it at all. What counts is the long-term. If you place bets with a better chance of winning than the odds suggest, eventually you will get ahead. It can take some time though and that's down to the variance associated with probability, and probability and the assessment of probability is what betting is in its most distilled form and that's why you can lose lots of bets in a row and look as though you don't know what you're talking about. Conversely, it's possible to win many bets in a row without having any idea what you're doing.
Finally, despite all the gloom of the above, there are plenty of users of this forum who post respectfully and have good information and insights to share. It's my hope that by starting this conversation, the forum can return to being the friendly and helpful place that it's historically been. There will always be the occasional troll or misjudged post and that's to be expected, but recently the atmosphere in here has turned pervasively toxic and it would be good to arrest that. Nobody should feel like if they post a losing pick that they're going to get abuse for it, or that they'll get shouted down for voicing an opinion. That's not the way this forum should be.

Agree just stop it. I don't want to read stuff like that when I'm looking for serious discussions.

Why does Dan Galan drop a set to this guy? Is it because he's played far to few matches on clay recent 6 months? Can he beat Gerald Melzer in Bogota tonight despite a such all out bad performance? Perchicot has a career high of 409 achieved this season.

Hi Czech,
Are you sure? I red on one betting portal that Botic has better serve and that this is 50/50 match... I looked Opelka in IW and that was bad play so Brooksby win against Opelka wasn't surprise in Antwerpen

M. Cilic to beat T.Paul at 1.90
I don't like M.Cilic and his tennis, specially his crazy and unreliable head.
But he won this tournament two times, he said after win against Dzumhur that he feels very good here.
He fired 22 aces in first match which means that his serve works very well.
I don't know about T.Paul tennis but as every American player, he probably likes much more outdoor then indoor enviroment.
He beat Ymer in first round but that was something like big choke from Ymer because serious player cannot loose 5:1...
Cilic @ 1.90

Jenson Brooksby to beat Botic Van De Zandschulp at 1.52 with Pinnacle
Botic looked average in the first match, Brooksby is having a good tournament. I'll be repeating my bet from yesterday! Really liked how he dealt with Opelka.

Tough looking games! Can't say anything jumps out at me.
Fulham looked much better against QPR and Cardiff have been massively out of form...heavy defeat looks inevitable and there will be worse 1/2 shots! Wonder if McCarthy will be sacked with a bad loss?
Tempted by a couple of bigger prices but I don't think I will pull the trigger on them. Hull have been worth opposing this season and Peterborough might just be able to get the win but not quite enough in the price. Swansea looked good last time and I think WBA are very workmanlike so 3/1 for the home win looks decent. But think I will just stick with a single on Fulham.

Can't think of any reason he won't go for this title.
Edit: Sorry forgot to check for higher price, Jannik Sinner at 4.20 with Betfair

Ok, so Badosa won first set, now it's time for Vika to show her steelnerves.

Vika to beat (-1.5 sets) Paula Badosa at 2.80 with Unibet
Here's what I've found written elsewhere:
Badosa has played brilliantly in this tournament, defeating two Grand Slam champions en route to the final - Angelique Kerber and Barbora Krejcikova. She will look to produce another upset and take down another Slam winner in Vika on Sunday.
The Belarusian is the more experienced of the two players and has triumphed at Indian Wells twice before. That may just give her the edge in this contest and help her emerge victorious for the third time in the California desert.
And well I'm going for this bet big time as I saw how bad Badosa and Jabeur played against eachother while there where literally no mistakes from Vika when she beat Ostapenko in the third set to reach the final.
