Rafael Nadal/Guillermo Garcia-Lopez under 16.5 games at 2.25 with local bookie
Good price on a likely outcome. I don't think GG-Lopez will have mutch to ask for her. Rafa is flying as usual and at Rafas backyard Pista Rafa Nadal it's gonna be highly unlikely that Rafa conceedes more than 4 games.

Feliciano Lopez to beat Martin Klizan at 2.30 with bet365
Suddenly Martin with his irregular form becomes fav to beat Feli because he beat Nole. I don't buy that!

Belarus to beat Slovakia at 1.41 with Marathonbet
I reckon that Belarus aren't 1.20 because Schmiedlova won a title recently. The SVK team isn't good, however, no really good players, while Belarus have two very good and one decent. Home conditions as well.

Andreas Seppi to beat Kei Nishikori at 4.00 with bet365
Pulling the trigger on this now since I feel like it's gonna be a big opportunity for Andreas to win this one. They've never met on clay and this is a match Kei can lose on his own if he isn't focused on the task at hand. They have 2 wins each and Andreas have beaten Kei on grass while losing on hardcourt which is Keis best surface while grass is kind of Andreas best. For me Kei isn't back just yet, he hasn't proven anything in his comeback so far. Should take some time for Kei to play well enough for a decent streak in a masters or grand slam. Winning two matches is already a good performance by Kei.

David Goffin to beat Roberto Bautista Agut at 2.06 with Pinnaclesports
David has the edge over RBA these days. He's being more solid in bigger tournaments hence why his ranking is higher and he always have had a bigger playing ability so it explains why he goes further in the bigger tournaments. Now we get evens on David to win this, can anyone explain why he is not fav.
Grigor Dimitrov to beat (-1.5 sets) Philipp Kohlschreiber at 2.79 with Pinnaclesports
Just saying that Philipp usually does his best when he is the underdog but he lost in Madrid to Grigor in straight sets last season and I can see the same thing happening again. It's ofcourse going to be tight with at least one tie-breaker just like last season but Grigor just is the better player in most aspects of the game so therefore he has the ability to take this in straight sets again.
Dominic Thiem to beat Novak Djokovic at 2.28 with Pinnaclesports
Dom should have a tough match ahead of him but if he raises his level when it matters the most it should be him winning this again. Nole isn't there with his game anymore and this feels like it's as far as he goes.

Ofcourse Slovakia switched nomination of player and put Josef Kovalik on the court instead. Mirza won anyway and I'm convinced he would have beaten Norbert Gombos also.

Yes I noticed that Ahouda also beat him in that same DC tie. Anyway odds on Nikoloz have gone up since I posted Lamine to win and the odds on a player ranked below top 600 as low as 2.50 just says he still has got a good chance to beat Nikoloz again. Lightning often strikes down on the same place in tennis and this might be a prime example of that. Another is Laura Siegemunds two wins over Simona Halep in Stuttgart. She twice defeated Simona in straight sets once in 2016 and in 2017.

Lamine Ouahab to beat Nikoloz Basilashvili at 2.75 with bet365
Basilashvili has no form to speak of and just because he beat Matteo Berrettini doesn't make him favourite in this one in my eyes. Lamine just recently in Davis cup beat Nikoloz in Marrakech in straight sets. Lamine has a history in playing in Morocco while Nikoloz has never played in Morocco before this week. This could be a straight sets win for Lamine since it was the result when they last met in Marrakech in DC this season. Lamine looks very good for an upset here so clear upset on the cards for me at least.

Pablo Andujar (-1.5 sets) to beat Ilya Ivashka at 2.37 with bet365
What an opportunity to get this great price on a straight sets win for Pablo here. He's without a question in great form again and seems to have come back for real winning his first challenger title in years playing some great tennis. Ilya lost to Pedro Martinez in the qualies yesterday and who's he? Well nobody as good as Pablo at least and this should be a walk in the park for Pablo. Ilya got himself the lucky loser spot after Victor Troickis withdrawal and Pablo comes into the maindraw via protected ranking.

Sorely tempted by some sort of plus on Ahouda against Ramos. Young home player who scored a shock win at this tournament last year over Marcel Granollers, against Ramos who didn't exactly pull up any trees during the South American clay court swing and who might not be all that motivated in what is a minor tournament compared to the bigger clay court tournaments in Italy and Spain that follow in the next few weeks.
+7.5 games for Ahouda at 2.10 and Ahouda to win a set at 8.50 both at Betfair Sportsbook look worth chancing to me. I'd even consider a small stake on Ahouda to win if I could get at least 30 on the exchanges.

Ah, alright, I'm going to go for this one actually.
Fabio Fognini to beat Lucas Pouille at 1.79 with Marathonbet
    1) Fognini is the better clay court player of the two. 2) I don't trust Pouille under pressure and the near-choke against Seppi only confirmed that assessment.

@CzechPunter I suggest we have a thread about our preseason bets. Would be really great to have I think since we have some bets running. And I'm really interested in knowing if anyone has some preseason bets running like you and me.
For me Naomi Osaka to be the year end highest ranked asian player looks good. Ajla Tomljanovic is on the right track. Sloane Stephens is also on the right track. Cedric Marcel-Stebe is injured and I think he will drop in the rankings soon. He hasn't played since january in Australian open and looks set to be dropping in the rankings until at least september.
Corentin Moutet defenitely looks vulnerable and his form isn't as great as it was at the end of last season. Lucas Pouille to be the year end highest ranked french player looks ok now. He's ranked 11 atm and looks set to continue his rise. What else did you have running @CzechPunter?

Mirza Basic to beat Norbert Gombos at 2.37 with bet365
Mirzas best surface is supposed to be hard and Norberts best clay and they play on clay in Slovakia so I'm going against those factors that speaks in favor of Norbert because I don't think Nobert has any form at all atm and hasn't had any the last few months either. So Mirza to win this for me and this could also be a live rubber depending on how it goes in the doubles match and the other singles rubber.

Naomi Osaka to beat Julia Goerges at 1.53 with bet365
Naomi in her current form wins this 8 out of 10 times. She played very well yesterday against Laura Siegemund and got the win in straight sets in the end. Laura challenged Naomi quite a lot but Naomi showed composure to win in straight sets. I believe she will win in straight sets again. It's 1-0 for Naomi in the head-to-head against Julia after she beat her in Cincinnati qualies 2016 6-4 6-4. The surface works well for Naomis serve and she will be hard to break for Julia. Big serves will come flying again from Naomi to get her out of trouble.

Magda Linette to beat Claire Liu at 1.86 with Marathonbet
Linette needs to start winning somewhere and I don't see why it shouldn't be here against a player of Liu's caliber. Importantly, she has played in Charleston before, so she shouldn't be too unfamiliar with the conditions. Liu doesn't have the Collins/Anisimova level of talent imo.
Heather Watson to beat Taylor Townsend at 1.76 with Unibet
Same arguments as for the Boulter-Townsend match. Watson is capable of defending well, so she should have the upper hand every single time the rally gets long, which should be more often than not given the conditions. It's not even that surprising that Townsend has a 1-3 record in Charleston.

Carol Zhao to beat Naomi Broady at 2.37 with Bet365
This is for tomorrow actually. I just don't know why this isn't 50/50 at the very least, Broady has been arguably less impressive than Zhao so far in this season and I just don't rate her all that much either. She can be pretty decent, but she doesn't have the potential for top 100 anymore imo, while Zhao does. Not a terribly great argument for a bet, but it's the odds that dictate the play here.

Before the final, Zverev made 10 aces against Carreno-Busta and 8 aces against Coric in 2 sets.
Isner is no better returner than those and sometimes (like 40-0 games) lets it go even the serve is not that intense. We can see 3 sets in this match-up, so  I think Zverev over 8,5 aces is valuable.

Sascha Zverev/John Isner over 2.5 sets at 2.37 with bet365
John can serve bot again and take this the distance. Sascha is playing great right now but previous matches between them have gone the distance and I think it will do so again. They've met 3 times and Sascha has won all meetings but like two times last season I think this goes the distance. They met in Miami last season and it finished with 3 tie-breaks so mutch of the same to follow will probably be on the cards.
