Here are the odds for this weekend's non-league matches coming up. The hectic schedule of the FA Cup and FA Trophy is put on hold briefly so league action can take priority. Let's hear some of your tips guys! Keep this profitable season going!

Blimey wanting £600 on a Bostik Prem game in shop is going to raise flags straight away. They know if someone is wanting a bet like that on that that person is going to know way more than them.

A very good weekend with the two 2.5pt bets winning in the FA Cup and Met Police winning for the Non-League selections. This weekend however I am only going to put one bet up. I can't remember ever doing this before when there has been a full fixture list, but it looks a really tough set of fixtures. Fylde, Hartlepool and Woking all look a bit bigger than they should be in the National League, but at the same time it wasn't enough to make me want to put them up. The last thing I want to do is force bets for the sake of it as that does no one any good, so it will be just the one for me on Saturday.
Bognor Regis v Hampton & Richmond
I opposed Bognor on the opening day of the season because they'd had a bit of a nightmare summer. They surprised me by winning 3-2 and given what they have done since I can feel hard done by because they have only won once in the league since then. Indeed their last win was on August 15th and they have picked up just 4 points in their last 12 matches. That is obviously relegation form and they certainly look at the very least like they will be in a relegation battle this season. On the other hand Hampton have been in superb form and are unbeaten in 12 league matches now. Their last defeat came on August 26th and after drawing 6 on the bounce they have finally discovered again how to win matches as they have won their last 4. They have drawn half of their away games and that is a slight worry, but otherwise everything points to an away win. Marathon are clear top price at 119/100.

Thanks to Stourbridge's easy win on Tuesday night we made nice little profit to keep things ticking over. Obviously with the FA Cup we have a reduced fixture list in the leagues, but I like the look of 3 bets.
    Leamington v Boston
Boston are not in a good shape on the field at the moment as they continue to look for a new manager. They have only collected 1 point in their last 7 league games and they have just 1 point from their 8 away league games conceding 20 goals in the process. That is a pretty sorry state of affairs and it makes improving Leamington an attractive betting proposition. Leamington had an awful start to the season, but they have turned it around and they are now unbeaten in 7 league games. Having lost their first 5 home games of the season, they are now unbeaten in 3 and Marathon's 23/20 about them winning this looks very attractive.
    Stalybridge v Mickleover
Stalybridge have only picked up 1 away point all season, but their home form is a very different matter. In the league they have won 5 of their last 7 and after drawing at Prescot in the FA Trophy on Saturday they then thumped them 5-0 at home in the replay. That really does tell us they are two very different sides at home and away. Mickleover are solid enough and are unbeaten in 4 in the league although they did lose in the FA Trophy last Saturday. I just think though that at home Stalybridge will have too much for them and BetVictor's 31/20 appeals.
    Lowestoft v Met Police
Big changes are happening at Lowestoft with the long standing chairman having left recently and then the manager who had been their 18 years also deciding to leave. It is fair to say they are in a state of flux at the moment. They lost their last league game 6-2 and then lost 3-0 to Worthing in the FA Trophy and Worthing have yet to win in the league this season. Now Met Police are looking potential play-off contenders as they are unbeaten in their last 8 games. The slight worry is they have actually only won once away in the league all season and they have drawn their last 3 including at Worthing. Usually that would be enough to put me off, but given the issues at Lowestoft at the moment, it looks a cracking opportunity for them to get 3 points on the road and they really do look overpriced at 7/4 with BetVictor. This would be a 4 point tip if it wasn't for their away form so I am halving the stakes.
    Leamington 2pts @ 23/20 with Marathon
    Stalybridge 1pt @ 31/20 with BetVictor
    Met Police 2pts @ 7/4 with BetVictor

Right I have already written this once and forgot to press the submit reply button so I am going to have to write it again!
    Poole v Concord
I was tempted to oppose Poole on Saturday when they played my team Gloucester as we had been much improved against Welling the weak before. In the end I wanted to wait to see if we could carry on in that vain and Poole were unbeaten in 3. As it turned out we won 3-0 and it was very much a deserved victory. Poole have only picked up 2 points at home all season and I just can't understand how they can be odds on against any side in the league, bar Whitehawk, so Concord look a great value play. Now Concord have also only picked up 2 points on their travels, but there have been signs that they are improving. They have drawn their last 4 league games and they included the 2 away draws so far. On Saturday they drew at Oxford City and the City keeper won the man of the match of the award which tells you all you need to know about how well Concord played. They also were the better side in two FA Cup games against Woking who only won in extra time and didn't deserve to. It all points to the fact Concord are very much overpriced at 3/1 with Marathon.
    Sutton Coldfield v Stourbridge
Sutton Coldfield are bottom of the table. They have only one win in their last ten league games and have had some hefty defeats in that spell conceding a massive 30 goals. Saturday saw them lose 3-0 to Stamford in the FA Trophy who play in the league below and they managed to get two goalkeepers sent off! Stourbridge have lost their last two league games and have been disappointing in both. Their away form has been very good though winning 5 and losing just once and they had a very good FA Trophy win against Basford who have yet to lose in their league. This looks a great gamefor Stourbridge to get back to winning ways in the league and Marathon's 11/8 makes plenty of appeal.
    Concord 1pt @ 3/1 with Marathon
    Stourbridge 2.5pts @ 11/8 with Marathon

Well, there's some Halloween non-league action coming up in midweek. Not every team is playing but there's enough games to keep us interested on Tuesday and Wednesday. What do you guys think heading into these matches?

Thankfully Chester got an injury time winner (especially given how they blew a 2 goal lead) which meant Tuesday wasn't a total blank. With only BetVictor having priced up the FA Trophy I am leaving that alone so that leaves me with just the 3 National Leagues to look at and it looks a very hard set of fixtures with little value around in my point of view. I have come up with 3 bets.
Barrow v Aldershot My initial thinking of this game was to back Aldershot, but when I had a closer look I actually think the draw looks the better bet. I have written plenty about Barrow recently so there is no need to go over it again and obviously they lost to Chester on Tuesday night. The interesting thing to note though is they have only lost once at home all season, when Maidstone beat them 1-0 a month ago. They have drawn 5 of their 8 home games and granted they have come against some of the lesser or out of form sides in the division, I think it still stands up that Barrow is a very hard place to go to. Aldershot have only won once in their last 6 games, against Tranmere last weekend, and have drawn 4 and lost 1. Now to be fair they have had to play Macclesfield, Dagenham and Sutton in that run of matches so they have had a tough set of fixtures, but away from home they have drawn the same amount as they have won, 3, and lost twice. With all things considered I just think the draw offers the best value at 12/5 with Bet365.   Wrexham v Leyton Orient I am rather surprised that Steve Davies is still in a job given their shocking run of form continued on Tuesday night when they lost 2-0 to Gateshead. They were poor by all accounts and the fans booed the performance and were calling for Davies to be sacked. That makes it just 2 points in their last 9 games now and going to Wrexham on the back of that has to be one of the last fixtures they would want right now. Wrexham finally lost in the league again on Tuesday night. That loss at Fylde was their first in the league since August 19th and maybe they just struggle against Fylde because they had beaten them in the FA Cup a couple of weeks ago. It was Wrexham's worse performance of the season and I struggle to see them perform so badly in two games running. Since losing to Macclesfield in their first home game of the season they are unbeaten at home having conceded just 4 times. As I often point out about them they don't score many (just 8 at home), but given Orient's defence is so generous at the moment Wrexham should have enough chances to score at least one which will hopefully be enough. A home win is 5/4 with Bet365/William Hill and BetVictor among others.   Blyth Spartans v Darlington I have tipped Blyth up twice lately and both times they have lost after taking the lead. Both games were away though and I think they have a much better chance at home. They have won 4 and lost 3 at home and in the 4 games they have won they have scored 17 goals. Their last 3 home games have all been victories and that defeat to Brackley was just their 3rd in their last 10 games. Tommy Wright got his Darlington managerial career off to a good start when they beat Bradford 2-1 last Saturday. I do get the feeling that a very early own goal set the pattern of the game though and it was just their 2nd win in their last 10 league matches. I want to see more from Darlington before being certain they have turned the corner and hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky in backing Blyth. The home win is 13/10 with Marathon.   Barrow v Aldershot 1pt draw @ 12/5 with Bet365 Wrexham 2.5pts @ 5/4 with Bet365/William Hill/BetVictor Blyth Spartans 1pt @ 13/10 with Marathon

Tuesday was a good night with Bishops Stortford landing the 3pt tip and Billericay landing the late tip I put up. I have 6 bets for Saturday, but as I am sure you are aware the weather forecast for Saturday is pretty horrid and not exactly conditions that are good for playing football in. Because of that I am going to stick to minimum stakes although all bets are over 2/1 so any two winners should see us in profit.   Dagenham & Redbridge v Wrexham
Both theses sides got knocked out of the FA Cup with Dagenham having to play a replay against Leyton Orient on Tuesday night. Dagenham's form does concern me a little, they seem to be playing well enough, but are struggling to turn those into victories. Wrexham as we know have been doing superbly well at the back, but struggling to score goals at the other end. Now at home Dagenham have scored 18 in 7 league games and have won 5 of them so they are hard to beat at home, but Wrexham are unbeaten in 10 league games now and I really do think they look a play-off side at the very least. I don't think there is a great deal between these two sides and I just can't understand how Wrexham can be priced up at 71/20 with Marathon, granted its not quite the error in price that they were for the Tranmere match, but it is still an error.   Hartlepool v Sutton I don't get the prices for this game either. How on earth can Hartlepool be outsiders for it? They are in superb form and confidence is clearly very high at the moment. They negated a very tricky FA Cup tie against South Shields last weekend which means in all competitions they have lost just once in 10 games winning 7 of them. I am still struggling to understand why Sutton are so short in the outright market as I still can't have them winning the title. In the last 10 league games Hartlepool have won 5 more points than Sutton and Hartlepool are the more consistent at the moment. Sutton struggled to beat Paulton (3 steps below them) in the FA Cup last week and this will be a very tricky tie for them. Hartlepool should be favourites so for them to be as big as 54/25 with Marathon is crazy in my view.   Leyton Orient v Macclesfield Fair play to Macclesfield as I certainly wouldn't have said they would have been the first team to have won 4 games on the bounce this season. They have won 8 of their last 10 league matches and were impressive in seeing off Stourbridge in the FA Cup last weekend. As much as I am not sure they will stay there I certainly think they are worth their place at the top at the moment. As mentioned above Orient beat Dagenham in the Cup on Tuesday night, but they haven't won in 7 league games now and they have lost 5 of them. They are still struggling to keep the goals out and I just can't see how the team at the top can be such big outsiders (131/50 with Marathon).   Brackley v Blyth Spartans The home sides good start to the season is a bit of a distant memory now as they haven't won in 6 league games now, although they have drawn 4 of them. They lost to Billericay in the FA Cup on Tuesday night, although like I said in the preview for that game they were the underdogs there despite the difference in leagues. They host an in form Blyth side who have won 6 of their last 7 league games. Of course the one time they got beat was when I put them up against Kidderminster, but that was a crazy game which ended 5-4. They did need two injury time goals to beat Stockport last weekend, but they are playing well and certainly have a better chance here than the odds suggest, Marathon are biggest at 14/5.   Darlington v Bradford Park Avenue The home side are struggling to find a manager and it seems Nuneaton's Tommy Wright turned them down this week and that came after Nuneaton beat them 2-1 last Saturday. It is just 1 win in 10 for the some side now and they desperately need a new manager to come in and steady the ship. BPA have lost just once in their last nine league games which was a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Leamington. That game aside they have been doing very well and it is hard to see why they should be 3/1 (William Hill, Sportingbet and Betfred) to win a game against a side so out of form.    Southport v Gainsborough Trinity This is probably the riskiest bet of the week, but I think there is value in backing Trinity. Kevin Davies was announced as the new Southport manager this week and it seems an odd choice. It is his first managerial job and I am not sure that is what they need right now. Also he doesn't strike me as someone who knows this level of football at all. BT Sport have used him as a pundit on their National League coverage and he doesn't strike me as someone who follows non-league closely at all. To be fair to Southport they only lost in injury time to Spennymoor last time, but it was another defeat. Now Trinity had failed to win in 5 league games prior to beating Tamworth and then in the FA Cup they beat Harrogate 2-1 which was a superb effort. They have won just 3 league games all season, but their away from has been much better than their home so that is encouraging. Even if Davies does prove to be a good signing I think it might take him a few weeks to get them going. Bet 365 go 15/4 about an away win and that is worth taking in my view.   Wrexham 1pt @ 71/20 with Marathon Hartlepool 1pt @ 54/25 with Marathon Macclesfield 1pt @ 131/50 with Marathon Blyth Spartans 1pt @ 14/5 with Marathon Bradford Park Avenue 1pt 3/1 William Hill, Sportingbet and Betfred Gainsborough Trinity 1pt @ 15/4 Bet365

The mid weeks haven't been kind the last couple of weeks, but hopefully this one will be different and the profits from Saturday can be built on. There are FA Cup replays but at the moment I am leaving them alone and I have two bets in the Evo-Stik South Premier.
    Kings Langley v Dorchester
I don't really need to repeat what I said about Kings Langley on the weekend given it still holds true here. To be fair they did push Kings Lynn closer than I thought they would as it ended up 3-2. Even so it was another defeat and it is hard to understand how a team who have only won once so far this season can be favourites. Dorchester aren't anything special either and are only one place above them in the table although they have 5 more points. They have only lost once in their last 5 games and that was against Hereford where they held their own for 45 minutes. They put 7 past sorry Gosport last week and followed that up with a draw against Chesham on Saturday which was a cracking effort given they played most of the game with 10 men. Granted their two wins in the 5 game spell have been against the bottom two sides, but all the signs point to them being better than their hosts at the moment. Betway and Paddy Power are 17/10 and that is just too big about an away win.
    St Ives v Bishops Stortford
This game takes place on Wednesday night and Bishops Stortford look a fantastic bet. Again St Ives were opposed in the treble at the weekend and they duly lost 4-0 to Redditch. Their only win in the league this season came on the first day of the season and it is now 31 goals conceded in 13 league games. Stortford didn't start the season well after being relegated, but things have improved and it is now 1 loss in their last 8. Now their first 3 wins came against Kings Langley, Dunstable and Gosport so the fixture list has been fairly kind, but they have drawn with Biggleswade and Merthyr and got a good win against Basingstoke on Saturday. What this run does prove though is they can see off the lesser sides in the division and St Ives added to the other 3 are clearly the worse sides in the division. It is probably lucky that only one team goes down this season and I wonder if some of those sides have taken a chance by saving some cash with the chances of them staying high. Anyway the away side are 13/10 with Marathon and that looks a cracking bet.
    Dorchester 1pt @ 17/10 with Betway/Paddy Power
    Bishops Stortford 3pts @ 13/10 with Marathon

Tuesday drew a disappointing blank, but Weymouth were easy winners in the end on Wednesday night so that at least covered some of the Tuesday losses. This Saturday sees the final qualifying round of the FA Cup and I have 3 bets there plus a Evo-Stik Southern Premier treble.   Nantwich v Kettering Kettering let me down on Tuesday night especially as they missed a penalty, but maybe they had one eye on this game given it looks a great opportunity to reach the 1st Round. Nantwich have only won one of their last 9 league games and have lost their last 5. The win came against bottom side Rushall as well. They had a easy first two games in the FA Cup, but then caused a pretty big upset when beating Nuneaton 3-0 in the previous round. That might say more about Nuneaton than it does Nantwich though and Kettering have been so impressive this season. They should be odds on for me so 11/10 with Stan James makes plenty of appeal. If you can't get on with them then even money is available in plenty of places and that is still value.   Shaw Lane v Barrow I see a possible cup upset here with Barrow really struggling to win football matches especially on their travels. To be fair to them their away fixture list has been pretty tough, but to only get 2 points from 7 games is pretty poor and they have only won one of their last 10 games. I thought Shaw Lane might need a season at Evo-Stik Northern Premier level to find their feet, but they are in with a real chance of another promotion as they sit top of the table. Saturday saw them lose just their 2nd game of the season, but they bounced back with a win on Monday night. I think they will fancy their chances of causing an upset and reaching the 1st Round for the first time. Paddy Power and BetVictor are 100/30.   St Albans v Boreham Wood This is the game that the BBC have chosen to broadcast on their website on Saturday lunchtime and it is another game we might see an upset in. The home side are having a very good season in the National League South and are 2nd in the table on goal difference. They have lost two games all season (one of which was against Gloucester when they went down to 10 men). Boreham Wood are one of those sides I struggle to get a proper handle on as on their day I think they are capable of beating anyone in the National League, but essentially are no better than a mid table side. I also think they are better at home so the fact they have to travel, albeit a short distance, makes a difference to me. The other factor here is Ian Allinson the St Albans manager who was in charge at Boreham Wood between 2008 and 2015 and he got them promoted to the National League. This game will mean plenty to him and I am sure he will be desperate to win it. Marathon are biggest about a home win at 119/50.   Evo-Stik Southern Premier treble I don't often put up bets like this, but I have to say that the fixture list has thrown up what look to be three home bankers this weekend and I think they are all worth sticking in a treble which pays around 11/10 with Bet365. Kings Langley have picked up just two points in their last 8 games and they came against St Ives and Gosport (more of which shortly). They go to Kings Lynn who look title contenders and should have little trouble in seeing them off. Merthyr Town have had two nightmare results in the last week. First up they lost 5-0 to Kettering and then they had a nightmare on Tuesday. At half time they were 4-0 up at home to Slough and as much as that was a shock scoreline it was pretty impossible to see Slough getting anything out of the match. Not many teams come from 4 down to win, but that is what Slough did and they won 5-4. Merthyr will be hurting after that and they have the perfect game to bounce back. They host a Gosport side whose only point was that draw against Kings Langley. They have conceded 33 goals in 12 games and scored just 9. Crucially they are under a transfer embargo and they only had 12 players at Dorchester on Monday night when they lost 7-2. Merthyr should hack up and I think it is also worth taking the 13/8 with Paddy Power on the -2. St Ives have won just once all season and have just two draws to add to that. Amazingly their last 6 defeats have been by one goal so they aren't too far away, but Redditch should have too much for them. They bounced back from two defeats by beating Kings Langley and they have been very strong at home winning all bar a defeat by Slough.    Kettering 3pts @ 11/10 with Stan James Shaw Lane 1pt @ 100/30 with Paddy Power/BetVictor St Albans 1pt @ 119/50 with Marathon Merthyr -2 1.5pts @ 13/8 with Paddy Power Kings Lynn/Redditch/Merthyr 2pts treble @ 11/10 with Bet365

Saturday sees the annual Non-League Day where people who support Premier League and Championship sides are encouraged to go and support their local Non-League club. Sadly I am working so won't be able to make it to a game myself, but if you are free then I do encourage you to go and watch a live game.   Right onto this weekends bets and after a couple of losing sessions hopefully I can find some profit this weekend. I don't think this has ever happened before but I have 1 bet from every single Step 1 to Step 3 league making for 6 bets.   Wrexham v Eastleigh
It looks another tricky National League fixture list and am only getting involved in this game. BT Sport have chosen to show this game on Saturday tea time and it should be an interesting encounter. I have written about Wrexham's lack of goals before and it continued again on Tuesday night as they drew 0-0 with Halifax. That means they have scored just 11 goals in their 14 games so far. Defensively they are still strong though having conceded just 7 times. Eastleigh aren't exactly prolific either having scored 13 in 13, but again defensively they have been fairly solid conceding just 12. It was a little disappointing they lost at Boreham Wood on Tuesday, but that was only their 2nd loss in 9 matches. Now clearly the stats point to a low scoring affair and I think that will happen, but the bet for me has to be the draw. Wrexham have now drawn 5 of their last 6 games and Eastliegh have drawn 5 of their last 8. I don't tip the draw up often, but at 12/5 with bwin or Sportingbet it has to be the bet. Also worth chucking a few quid on the no goalscorer option at 9/1 with Ladbrokes and Coral.   Darlington v Stockport Things are not good at Darlington at the moment. First they lose their manager to York and then they lose their caretaker managers without them playing a game. They have been in poor form on the pitch as well having won just once in their last 10 games. Now Stockport are summed up by their form figures of won 5 drawn 2 and lost 5. They are very inconsistent and blew a 3 goal lead in the FA Cup last weekend before losing the replay. Their league away form is shocking as all 5 of those loses have come on the road and they have won just once. Usually that would be enough to put me off, but Darlington could be there for the taking and hopefully Stockport can punish them. I certainly think that at 51/25 with Marathon they are worth backing.   Hemel Hempstead v Weston-Super-Mare Now Hemel were one of my ante-post tips for this league and I still think they will be in the promotion picture, but I am taking them on this weekend with Weston. Hemel have a massive injury list at the moment and lost their last league game 5-1 to Chippenham. Last Saturday they lost 3-0 to Bath in the FA Cup although the last 2 goals came in injury time at the end of the game. I don't like blindly tipping a team just based on an injury crisis and I want extra reasons for opposing a team. Weston are in decent form at the moment and are unbeaten in 4 league games winning 2 and drawing 2. That includes a point against 6th placed Chelmsford and they beat 5th place Dartford 3-0 last time out. Now they have yet to win away having drawn 3 and lost 3, but they are clearly in decent nick at the moment and I think Marathon's 67/25 is too big about an away win.   Dulwich v Needham Market Now Dulwich caused a bit of a fuss in the week when they came out and said they don't want to take money from any company related to betting. This came to prominence after the league's fair play awards are to be sponsored by a tipping website. I personally think it is a shame that a club feels a need to preach about these things especially as the people who are anti gambling don't really understand the issues and that there are plenty of us who enjoy a bet, bet sensibly and can make money from it. They will probably hate the fact I am tipping them up this weekend especially as one fan told me that he didn't want people to get into Non-League football via betting on it! Dulwich look set to be in the play-offs at the very least again this season and have lost just 2 league games to Billericay and Hendon. I was at the Hendon match and they totally dominated the game only to lose to a wonder goal by Hendon with what was the last kick of the game. They should really have too much for a Needham side who have won just 3 games all season and just 1 of those has come in their last 6 games. Dulwich should be odds on so Betfred's 23/20 makes a lot of appeal.   Slough v Biggleswade Slough beat Dulwich in the FA Cup last month and they progressed to the 4th Qualifying Round last week when beating Poole. That of course was a minor shock, but in many ways it wasn't the biggest surprise given how those teams have fared so far this term. Slough have won 7 and lost 2 of their 9 league games. The first of those was on the opening day of the season against Kettering who are top at the moment, and the other was to a resurgent St Neots recently. They have scored a huge 29 goals in those 9 games and they should be capable of beating Biggleswade. Now the away side are having a good season and are only a couple of points behind their hosts. Their away form has been a bit suspect though and you may remember I opposed them last week when they were away at Kings Lynn and they duly lost 3-0. Slough are 5/4 with Marathon and I would make them a shade of odds on myself.   Hednesford v Witton The away side might be a point above their hosts in the table, but I think they will be two points behind them come 5pm on Saturday. Hednesford have certainly improved since Rob Smith has come back as manager and he has been aggressive with his signings. They have won their last two and although they conceded 8 in the two games prior to that it was mainly after them that Rob set about improving the squad. Witton seem to be in real trouble at the moment having lost their last 4 games and their last 3 games on the road. BetVictor are biggest at 11/8 for the home win.   Wrexham v Eastleigh 1pt Draw @ 12/5 with Sportingbet/bwin No goalscorer 0/5pts at 9/1 with Ladbrokes/Coral   Stockport 1pt @ 51/25 with Marathon   Weston-Super-Mare 1pt @ 67/25 with Marathon   Dulwich Hamlet 2.5ps @ 23/20 with Betfred   Slough 2pts @ 5/4 with Marathon   Hednesford 1pt at 11/8 with BetVictor

Still can't help thinking that there should really have been a healthy profit on Saturday instead of a loss. Gateshead and Billericay both should have won according to the reports and East Thurrock missed a penalty to win their FA Cup match. Anyway St Neots stopped it from being a total disaster and we move on to Tuesday night's fixtures.
    Boreham Wood v Eastleigh
As mentioned above Boreham Wood were fortunate to get a point on Saturday and Gateshead and hopefully we can get them beat on Tuesday night as I fancy the away side here. Boreham Wood haven't really convinced in their last 3 games now and Eastleigh have made themselves very hard to beat. They have only lost once in their last 8 games although they have drawn 5 in that time. It could be tempting to have the draw onside, but whereas Boreham Wood had a long journey to Gateshead, Eastleigh didn't have to play at all as their home game against Chester was called off. That is a big thing for me especially as I think Eastleigh are the better side. Marathon are 12/5 about an away win and that is too big.
    Chester v Woking
Needless to say if I am backing Eastleigh because they didn't play on Saturday I am backing Chester as well. Now of course they did make the journey south, but not having 90 minutes in their legs will be a big plus. They were really good against Maidenhead and now they have finally won a home game that isn't hanging over their heads anymore. They have a decent side on paper and one that really should be having an eye on sneaking in the play-offs rather than fighting a relegation battle. Marcus Bignott should be capable of doing just that. Woking have really surprised me although I can't help thinking they have had fortune on their side in some of their victories and I am not sure they are as good as their lofty position suggests. 4 of their 5 defeats have come on the road as well and Marathon are best price at 143/100 for another one.
    Hartlepool v Barrow
This game wasn't originally on my shortlist, but having done a bit more digging I realised that the home side are worth backing here. I must admit I hadn't realised Barrow have only won twice all season and only one of those has come in their last 10 matches. They have lost 4 of their last 7 as well and in some ways it is surprising that they decided to keep Micky Moore on as manager because he only won one game as caretaker. They lost to Maidstone on Saturday and although it was only a penalty according to the stats in the paper they didn't manage a shot on target the whole game. Barrow have only picked up 2 points on their travels and with Hartlepool in such good form at the moment with just one defeat in their last 7 they are a bet at 23/20 Marathon.
    Maidstone v Bromley
I don't back odds on very often and there was some even money about the home side to start with, but at a shade of odds on I am going to back Maidstone here. They cost me last Saturday against Gateshead and they have drawn 4 of their 6 home matches, but this looks a really good opportunity for them. As much as I haven't been all that kind to Barrow above they are hard to beat at home and Maidstone were the first ones to do so this season. Only Hartlepool have beaten them in their last 10 games and they are playing with loads of confidence. A couple of defensive errors were behind the Gateshead goals last week, but they had only conceded 4 times at home prior to that match. Bromley have only won once away all season and they have lost 5 of their last 8 games. They have won twice in that spell, but they were against Solihull and Torquay, the bottom two sides in the division. At Bet365's 19/20 I still think there is some value in a home win.
    Harrow v Wingate & Finchley
Into the Bostik Premier for the final bet and I like the look of Wingate here. Wingate lost their first two games of the season, but then won 6 on the bounce before losing by a single goal to Brightlingsea last Tuesday. This looks a good game to bounce back in as Harrow have struggled since winning their 1st 4 games of the season. They haven't managed to win since then drawing 3 and losing 3. They should have won on Saturday as they totally dominated Lowestoft but conceded an equaliser in the final seconds of the game. Wingate have the advantage of not having a game on Saturday as well and the 6/4 with Marathon seems a fair price.

More profit on Tuesday kept things ticking over nicely. This week I have 3 bets in the National League, 1 bet in the Evo-Stik South Premier, and 2 in the FA Cup.
    Eastleigh v Chester
There seem to be a hell of a lot of draws this season in the National League and the home side have picked up 7 points via them so far this season. That means they have won just 3 times although they have only lost twice as well. They had drawn 5 of their last 6 games prior to beat Hartlepool on Saturday. That was obviously a decent result although having seen the goals I do think Hartlepool were caused their downfall as both goals should have been prevented. Marcus Bignott got an instant response in his first game as Chester manager and they were really impressive in a 2-0 victory over Maidenhead. I think they could be a side to keep on the right side of in the short term as bookies are likely to over bigger odds than they should be and I think that has happened here. I would still make Eastleigh favs, but Chester aren't 9/2 (Bet365) shots and are well worth backing.
    Gateshead v Boreham Wood
The fact Boreham Wood are only 5 points from the top of the table despite losing 4 of their last 6 games sums the division up nicely. Those two wins came against a Leyton Orient side who had a massive off day and Dover. Although they only lost to a penalty against Ebbsfleet last weekend, they were very much 2nd best and this is a very tough fixture for them. Gateshead should really be unbeaten at home still as they deserved something from the game they ended up losing to Aldershot recently. They have won 4 and drawn once in their other home games and only conceded 3 goals. They had no real right to get a point at Maidstone last weekend after being 2 down and a man short, but to draw 2-2 after that will have felt like a victory. I think they can pick up another 3 points at home and Marathon are best price at 38/25.
    Maidenhead v Guiseley
I have to continue backing the away side here. Paul Cox has got 4 draws since he took over as manager and they will pick up 3 points at some point and this could be a good chance. Maidenhead have done well especially since losing Dave Tarpey, but they were poor at Chester last weekend and although they are capable of bouncing back I just think the away side are a sporting play. The last two games have seen them get draws against Wrexham and Dover and this should be an easier test than either of those two. Marathon are biggest again at 77/20 and I can't make them that big.
    Tiverton v St Neots
The away side were one of the winning bets on Tuesday and I think they are worth backing again here. Granted their improved form of late has come at home, but hopefully they can carry the confidence of their recent wins to the other side of the country as they face a Tiverton side who have lost their last 2. Now they were two tough games in Kings Lynn and Merthyr Town, but St Neots look a good side at the moment and I just don't think they should be as big as 15/4 with Marathon to win this.
    Hungerford v Billericay
I was very surprised to see Billericay only beat Tooting with an injury time winner last Saturday as they really should be seeing off those side with ease and they had been up until that point. A slight concern has to be that they had another man sent off, something that is in danger of becoming a habit. Even so I just wonder if they are suffering a bit from complacency given they had been winning most of their games so easily. Now they face a team from the level above for the first time and it might just concentrate the minds of the players especially given they will be desperate to get to the 1st Round of the FA Cup, where if they draw a league side at home they will almost certainly be the BBC live game. Hungerford basically had a bye into this round as Gloucester were so bad against them and this should be a tougher test. They have failed to win in their last 3 league games including losing 5-0 to Braintree last Saturday. Usually I wouldn't suggest backing a team from a lower division at 11/8 (sporting bet), but really Billericay should be odds on so on this occasion I am taking it.
    FA Cup 5 fold
The acca didn't come off in the previous round, but again there look to be five sides who are worth putting in an acca. Chorley should get the bet off to winning start in the live game against Ashton Athletic, Newcastle Benfield should be outclassed by Kidderminster, St Albans should have a comfortable afternoon against Bridport, East Thurrock can beat Harlow and Cinderford should find Hampton too tough. Sportingbet are 6.9/1 about the five fold.

Last Saturday saw a small profit and yet another big price Nap going in. The Nap's have certainly been performing very well so far this season. Annoyingly the Billericay bets on Sunday came unstuck which they shouldn't have because they should have been out of sight before Thamesmead scored and then Billericay went down to 10 men. It was no surprise they won the replay 5-0 on Tuesday, but no handicap betting was available. It is quite a busy week for me this week as I like bets in 8 matches.
    Chester v Maidenhead
I am hoping to make it 3rd time lucky with Chester on Saturday. I think Chester have made a good managerial signing in Marcus Bignott who did a great job to get Solihull promoted to the National League and will have learnt plenty from his time at Grimsby in League 2. I think Chester are in a bit of a false position as I think they have a decent enough squad and I expect they will climb up the table now. They did get thumped 4-0 by Dover last week, but they didn't play too badly. The big thing for them is to get a win at home given it has been so long since they tasted success at home. I think that was down to the fact Jon McCarthy wasn't up to the job and hopefully Bignott can bring about instant change. This won't be a gimmie by any means as Alan Devonshire's Maidenhead continue to defy the odds. Even without Tarpey they have still been winning games and currently sit in 6th. I just think though that there isn't anywhere near as much difference between these two sides as their league positions or betting suggests. Marathon go 59/25 about a home win and I would make them no bigger than 6/4 shots.
    Guiseley v Dover
Having put up Dover last Tuesday night when they drew with Barrow I was cursing not putting them up on Saturday at Wrexham so was pleased when Wrexham got that late equaliser. It was another good performance from them though since Paul Cox took over and performances have certainly improved. Only Hartlepool have beaten them at home so far and although Dover have won 4 out of 5 away games I think this will be a tougher test for them than the bookies prices suggest. Chris Kinnear has done a fine job with what is basically a brand new side this season, but I can't help but think they are a bit flattered by their league position at the moment. If Guiseley can go to Wrexham and Barrow and get draws then they have a good chance of beating Dover at home. Bet 365 are biggest about a home win at 3/1.
    Maidstone v Gateshead
Maidstone have 18 points and 17 of them have come in their previous 8 games a run where they have had only had one defeat at Hartlepool. They have won 3 on the bounce as well and were really impressive in beating Macclesfield 4-1 last Saturday. They finished strongly last season and bar the first 3 games of this one they have carried that on this time around. They have yet to taste defeat on their 3G pitch this season and I think they can make it 4 wins on the bounce against Gateshead. The away side have yet to win on their travels this season and although they picked up draws at Ebbsfleet and Sutton they were very much 2nd best in both games. I think there is just enough in Maidstone's price of just over even money with Marathon to get involved.
    Tranmere v Wrexham
Whatever result happens in this game the prices for the match are one of the most ludicrous set of prices I have seen. How on earth can anyone have priced up Tranmere as short as 8/15 I will never know. They are a best price of 8/13 and that stinks as well. As much as I still think Tranmere have the potential to win the league, their current form should not make them 8/13 shots to beat a Wrexham side who are 5 points in front of them in the table. In my ante-post preview I wrote how I liked the Wrexham side, but they lacked a goalscorer and that has proven to be the case as they have only scored 9 goals so far. Given the way the league is this season they might well still be able to mount a title challenge even without a proven goal scorer. How on earth they are bigger than 5/1 I don't know, but I am not going to back them in that market. Tranmere have also struggled for goals and have only scored 8 themselves. Both defences have done well as well as Wrexham have conceded 6 and Tranmere 8. Now they will probably play out a 3-3 thriller now, but those stats clearly point towards a very tight game. So I am going to back No Goalscorer which is 17/2 with Bet 365 (just in case you aren't aware if an own goal is scored then you still get paid out on this market whereas you wouldn't obviously if you backed 0-0), I am going to back a Wrexham 1-0 win which is 14/1 with Betfred and finally back Wrexham in the draw no bet market at 73/20 with Marathon.
    Kidderminster v Blyth Spartans
Into the National League North where I have 3 bets this week. Blyth have been impressive in their first season back at this level and currently sit in 4th place in the league. They have won their last 4 league matches and their only away defeat came in their first road trip of the season to Alfreton. They have won their other 4 and although they haven't come against clubs who should be troubling the play-offs they have clearly been playing well. The home side on the other-hand have been struggling so far this season and look a fair way off the side who did so well last term. No they have only lost once at home, but this is potentially their toughest home fixture yet and Blyth are too big at 3/1 (Bet 365).
    Leamington v Bradford Park Avenue
Bradford landed the Nap selection with ease last Saturday and I am going to make them the Nap's again this weekend. They are unbeaten in 7 in the league and that FA Cup win against Southport continued the superb run. They travel to a Leamington side who have lost all 5 of their home games so far. They struggled in the FA Cup last Saturday as well only beating Westfields with two 90th minute goals. Betway's 17/10 about an away win looks a nice price.
    Nuneaton v Southport
It is a shame Southport aren't playing another half decent side so I could continue opposing them, but their shocking run of form continued against BPA last weekend. They were outclassed yet again and they desperately need players back. Now Nuneaton haven't won in 6 league games so they come with risk attached for sure, but they did avoid a Cup upset against a good Kings Lynn side last Saturday. A performance like that should be enough to win this and at just under 6/4 with Marathon I am prepared to back a home win.
    Billericay v Tooting & Mitcham
As mentioned at the start the Billericay bets should have been winners on Sunday, but that is football and hopefully we can get some money back here. Against the lesser sides in the Bostik Premier Billericay have been totally dominate and scored plenty of goals. Tooting have yet to win in the league this season and have conceded 19 goals in 7 games. Billericay meanwhile have score 21. Jake Robinson continues to score for fun and it wouldn't surprise me if he gets 50 this season. They should have another comfortable afternoon here and the 19/10 with Betfred to overcome the -2 handicap looks more than fair.

    Nuneaton v Kings Lynn
The home side are struggling in the National League North this season and given Kings Lynn are near the top of the Evo-Stik Southern Premier we could be looking at a possible upset here. The away side did lose their first game of the season on Tuesday, but I just wonder if they might have had one eye on this game given they have a strong chance of causing an upset. BetVictor are 3/1 about an away win.
    Salisbury v Poole
I saw Salisbury in this round last year as Gloucester played them and we were very lucky to get through to the next round with a 2-1 victory. Salisbury played really well and deserved at least a replay and I think they have a good chance of actually going through to the next round this year. Poole have looked a shadow of the side they were last season and have lost 7 of their 11 games letting in 22 goals in the process. Salisbury scored 8 against Slimbridge last week and although this game will obviously be a fair bit tougher I think they have a real chance of causing an upset. Paddy Power go 11/5 about a home win and there is just enough in that price for me.
    Southport v Bradford Park Avenue
Harrogate landed the gamble on Tuesday night in some style and I am surprised Southport have been put in at odds on here. As I also mentioned in mid-week BPA are in great form at the moment and they were another winner I put up on Monday night. At 12/5 with Paddy Power BPA look the best bet of the weekend.
    Acca
I always like doing an acca at this stage of the competition as you often get mis matches and I think you have a higher than normal chance of landing one. I have 6 teams and the acca pays nearly 2.3/1 with BetVictor. The teams are Bath, Boston, Chelmsford, Dartford, Harrogate and on Sunday Billericay.

So after a cracking mid-week with big profits, plus landing a huge gamble on Harrogate, we move on to Saturday's action. At the moment I am just going to preview the National League as I await other bookies to price up the FA Cup action, but once they do that will follow. The National League has been a bizarre league so fair this season with some really strange results and so it will be minimum stakes this weekend, but 3 bets appeal at the prices.
    Leyton Orient v Hartlepool
No surprise that BT Sport have chosen to show this game between the two relegated sides on Saturday lunchtime. Orient bar the two defeats on 3G pitches started strongly whereas Hartlepool looked desperate and only had 2 points from their first six. Things have reversed though as Orient have lost their last two and Hartlepool won three on the bounce before drawing at Wrexham on Tuesday night. I have written that Orient had a kind fixture list to start with and that might just have masked the issues that are still there after the issues over the summer. Defensively in the last two games they have been shocking and that could well continue on Saturday. Craig Harrison must have been pretty close to getting the sack after the first six games, but that first win at Guiseley has kicked started their season. An impressive performance against Maidstone followed and then they were the first team to defeat Dagenham last Saturday. I don't understand the prices for this game and Marathon's 14/5 about an away win is way too big.
    Dover v Chester
Dover went top on Saturday after winning at Aldershot, but they then followed that up with a defeat at home to Boreham Wood and rather strangely for a team who was top after 9 games they have only picked up 5 points at home this season. That has to be a concern for anyone wanting to take short odds about them in this match and after putting them up on Tuesday night I am happy to go with Chester again. After going 2 down to Gateshead they showed great spirit to get it back to 2-2 and they could have won the game although Gateshead ended up scoring a winner. They were the first goals Gateshead have conceded at home this season and the two performances since the change of manager have been encouraging. Skybet are biggest about an away win at 5/1.
    Woking v Sutton
Given Sutton's dire away form last season it is amazing that they have already won more away than they did last term. They lost their first away game at Eastleigh, but have won the other 4 including when getting a very late winner at Dagenham on Tuesday night. I thought they were going to struggle there, but they did well to win and I think they can beat Woking on Saturday. The fact Woking have the 2nd best home form in the division is more proof of how strange this league has been so far this season, but they have had some kind home fixtures and think Sutton will pose a much tougher test. Sutton are just under 6/4 with Marathon and I would have them nearer evens myself.

So starting from today Punters Lounge will be the only place where you will be able to see my Non-League previews. Saturday's selections had two winners including another winning Nap in Redditch. Over the next couple of nights I have 6 bets including two this evening.   Bradford Park Avenue v Boston
Starting off with two Monday night selections and I like the look of the home side here. Boston's away form has been horrendous so far. They have picked up just the 1 point and have conceded a huge 14 goals in their 5 away games so far, including 5 at Blyth on Saturday. Now Bradford have only won once at home so far this season, but after losing their first two home games they have picked up 5 points in their following 3. Looking at their form overall they are unbeaten in 6 games now drawing 3 and winning 3. Bradford should have won on Saturday as well as opponents Nuneaton went down to 10 men and they missed a penalty. The 36/25 with Marathon looks too big to me on a home win.   Chelmsford v East Thurrock East Thurrock would be one of the smallest teams in the National League South, but they have had an incredible start to the season. They remain unbeaten having won 5 and drawn 4 so far this term. That means they are just 2 points behind their hosts this evening having played a game less. Chelmsford currently top the table and look set to at least reach the play-offs again having been beaten in the final last season by Ebbsfleet. They are obviously in very good form themselves, but they have drawn their last 3 matches all against teams in the bottom 8 of the league. Now this game should be much tougher than those and East Thurrock look a huge price at 9/2. I am however going to take them in the draw no bet market at 59/20 with Marathon just have a little bit of security should they draw again given they have drawn 7 games between them.   Barrow v Guiseley It is funny how the fixture list seems to throw fixtures like this as new Guiseley manager Paul Cox returns to Barrow not long after quitting the club. To be fair to Barrow they have been playing pretty well recently and did so again at Tranmere on Saturday only going down to a very late goal. They clearly deserve to be favourites, but I think Guiseley are a value play here. I thought there was instant improvement from them at the weekend when they drew 0-0 against Eastleigh and they should really have won the game. Now they have lost all 4 away games so far conceding 13 and scoring just 1, but I think they will be rising up the table shortly as I rate Cox as a manger and 5/1 (Marathon) is bigger than it should be.   Dagenham & Redbridge v Sutton I think both these sides should have won at the weekend. Sutton had quite a few chances to see off Gateshead but in the end were held to a 1-1 draw. Dagenham lost their first game of the season at Hartlepool, but they had chances to get in front before that and as John Still said after the game they will play worse and win this season. Sutton's away form has been much better and they have won 3 of their 4 away games, but I just fancy with their injury list at the moment they will struggle to get much out of this game. Dagenham have goals in them and Sutton's biggest injury worries come in defence. Marathon go 23/20 about a home win and I am pretty keen on that.   Gateshead v Chester Like Guiseley Chester also sacked their manger early into the season and also like them I thought there was a big improvement from them on Saturday. Caretaker boss Tom Shaw got a big performance from his side and they really should have picked up all 3 points against draw specialists Ebbsfleet. Gateshead haven't won in 4 games now and although they have drawn 3 of them I really don't think they are playing well at the moment. Granted the home side have won 3 of their 4 games at home and they have yet to concede a goal which is a concern when backing the away team, but they are just too big a price. It should be remembered that Chester have only lost 3 games so far this season so its not like there is anything that drastically wrong with the side. Marathon are 47/10 and I would make them at least half that price.   Southport v Harrogate The prices in this game really do baffle me. Southport have had two disastrous results after such a good start to the season. I think this can be put down to some key injuries and suspensions and it is clear that past the best 11 there isn't much strength in depth in the squad. Stockport put 6 past them on Tuesday night and then Kidderminster were comfortable 3-0 wins when they hosted them on Saturday. They now have to face Harrogate who have looked like a team who will be challenging for the title this season. They have scored 29 goals already and sit top of the table having only lost one game. They were one of my winners on Saturday when they won 5-1 after going a goal at AFC Telford. How on earth they aren't even favourites for this game is staggering and Bet365's 9/5 is a huge price. I make them the Nap's of next couple of nights.   Bradford Park Avenue 1pt East Thurrock 1pt draw no bet Guiseley 1pt Dagenham & Redbridge 3pts Chester 1pt Harrogate 4pts

Just to clear a couple of things up. The tips were still going to be free to see and I doubt I will ever decide to charge people for my football tips. Even if I did I wouldn't use this forum to tout for buisness as I respect it way too much to do that. I never really wanted to stop posting here and am pleased something has been sorted out so I don't have to. Hopefully some of my Twitter followers who don't know/use the forum can be encouraged to post here and the NL threads can grow.
As for Ships as Paul mentions he doesn't write for anyone now. He made so much money from punting on non-league that he felt it was time to semi-retire and it was getting harder for him to get on. I knew he wouldn't be able to give it up totally though and we share emails on a regular basis to bounce ideas off one another so through me he is still a small part of the forum.

The above will be the last preview I will be posting on here for now. I have been signed up to write previews for a site and they want it to be exclusive to them and thus I can't post them on here anymore. I will still check in and make some general posts and if I stop writing for the site at any stage then I will post them on here again.
