I hope she does not turn out to be another ostapenko. ostapenko was lucky in her win whereas swiatek was flawless. absolutely crushing players. think kenin was injured today. but thats no excuse. even a fitter kenin would have lost. see shades of steffi graf in swiatek.

Swiatek is not fighting, she destroys opponents; too much fire, precision and very versatile arsenal. But a month ago she lost in a strange way, without fighting in the I round in Rome, yesterday in double match, she was terrible and hysterical, poor serving.

Ohh.. come on!! Who else is intrigued by Serenas once brutal game, vulgar costumes and dramatic behavior, she should take care of her daughter, at her age, and maybe start knitting.
People prefer, for sure, to watch Osake, Andreescu and certainly Swiatek and even Kasatkine or Bencic.

You should understand that because of Covid19, many players have left this season either bye not training enough or fearing the corona and canceling their performances. Then the low ranked youth have a chance to show off. Try to remember also  the birth from nowhere of Andreescu and Osaka.
Swiatek, with her full of courage, agressive, versatile game, has been considered as a great talent by experts for years. I've always wondered about the overdone odds on her matches. I am sure that she will be in the top 5 among all stars, already next year.

I watch the Switolina - Podoroska match and it is difficult for me to notice how Switolina, in its present form, can threaten Swiatek; she is headstrong but weak in tennis form.
Not shure that she will win this match. And she lost..

I guess everybody is still as much pulverized as Halep is. In this very hard-to-phanthom indulgence, there is no such thing as a free lunch in freetown. The bookies are indirectly telling us that there is no place to hide....not even in Swiatek. Tennis is more about matchups than any single individual brilliance. So Swiatek whilst in sublime form may not necessarily be the best thing since sliced bread. The whole field is still loaded with so much talent. I still feel that Ferro and Garcia can find improvement and enter this equation well. Garcia is very error prone but can be systematically clutch once she gets into rhythm. She still has problems closing out big matches and I do not think that will go away easily. Her big for glory can fully take off if she can beat Svitolina. She really should be able to accomplish that somehow. All to play for now in a very even field.

I didn't have the time to add comments to all of them, whether any of them are non-clay players, or long pause, or simply skill difference. (Alcaraz for example)

Considered placing bet on Kovinic (at least one set) but only considered  Bencic is still mentally disorganized without the necessary attitude to reach better rank.

Have to highlight Kovinic here. I liked the girl back in the day, but she had some horrible results until this part of the season. Nice to see her back!

Tsvetana Pironkova (+1.5 sets) to beat Donna Vekic at 1.71 with Pinnacle
The only one I like today. Pironkova had a 3-0 record against Vekic in her "old" career and she's been tremendous since returning, so I'm not sure why she can't grab at least a set here. She's aggressive and Vekic doesn't have great defenses, so I wouldn't be surprised to see her lose this or have another Pliskova-like encounter from R1.

I agree with Delfino about Serena's chances, it should be added that without an audience they will be even smaller.

I watched a few Swiatek's matches  (both doubles and singles), she had huge problems with serving and as a mega offensive player, devoid of tactical skills, this is very important lack in her game, therefore I doubt that she should a favorite in the match against Kudermatowa (2.2)

Eugénie Bouchard - Tamara Zidansek [email protected] 10/10 flat stake at pinnacle

Bouchard is clearly improving. After her record 15L streak last year she took a month break, and came back stronger despite her retirement in huge cold weather in Houston. She played solid in Australia and also friendlies during covid. She started to work with Stubbs, who is one of the best women coaches and her first official match under her in Prague was impressive. She gave no chance to Kudermetova, who is quite ok normally.

Now she will face Zidansek, who won over struggling Siniakova today with troubles. In Palermo she showed, that she doesnt like to be under constant pressure as she coudlnt handle Dodins big hits. Conditions in Prague are quite fast and I believe that Zidansek defence wont be enough vs "reborn" Bouchard. I dont think Genie will repeat her perfect performance vs better defence and movement of Zidansek (in compare to Kudermetova), but still see her as fav in this one and was expecting odds well below 2,0 on her. I knew Giorgi was usually an aggressive tennis player but today she was extremely self destructive; at 3: 3 in the first set, she couldn't use 18 gameballs.

Two interesting (imo  ) double matches in WTA Lyon

1. Lapko / Marozava-Pigossi / Van Der Hoek. Looking at the ranking and match results, odds 3.2 on BF on Pigossi / Hoek is exaggerated and too high.

2.Paar / Wachaczyk-Lechemia / Ponchet. The same can be said about this match: Paar / Wachaczyk (1.83 at Pinn)  is much more experienced and harmonious pair. Many ITF tournaments wins.
